I nodded and blushed. He left in a good mood.

It was really embarrassing that I still blushed even though I had been married to him for so many years. After Hendrix left, I continued to sleep until I was woken up by a call.

It was Valerie. She said, "Arianna, are you awake? Come over for lunch. You better get ready soon, I have sent the driver to pick you up."

I was startled. "Mom, I'll just eat at home later. I'll be there at one o'clock in the afternoon. You don't have to send the driver to come pick me up."

She said, "Hendrix talked to me this morning. Don't be lazy. It's almost noon. You should get up quickly and come over to eat. You can go back to sleep after that."

"Hendrix called you this morning?" I was surprised. I sat up and glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already noon. It seemed that I had gone back to sleep for a long time. She hung up the phone after making sure that I was fully awake.

I couldn't go back to sleep anymore. Hendrix boarded the plane at 9 o'clock, but he probably hadn't reached Asherton yet. I washed up, got dressed, and went to the Moore Villa. Freya and her husband were also there.

Oliver was much taller than the last time I saw him. When I arrived, he was sleeping in Zachary's arms. Freya was busy in the kitchen. Upon seeing me, Zachary smiled and said, "Take a seat first. The meal will be ready soon."

I nodded, took the seat in front of him, and said, "Previously, I have asked you something about law studies. Can you help me get some info on the postgraduate entrance exam in law? I am quite free recently, so I was thinking of revising first to prepare for the examination next year."

He was a little surprised and said, "I thought you decided not to take the exam anymore, since you didn't sit for it last time. Okay, I'll go back to the school tomorrow and ask around. I'll see if I can help you." I nodded and sighed. Even I had no idea what to do with my life.

He smiled faintly. "Anne is in good spirits recently. Let's take the children for an outing some time. You can talk to Mr. Roberts and see if you guys are up for it."

I nodded. I could certainly make it, but I guessed it would have to wait until Hendrix returned from Asherton.

Freya came out of the kitchen with a plate full of fruits. Setting the plate down on the table, she asked, "What were you talking about? Something interesting? Tell me about it."

I shrugged and said, "It's about the postgraduate entrance examination. I am asking Zachary to help me look for some information."

She nodded and carried Oliver up from Zachary's arms. "I'll bring him upstairs to sleep, so that you guys can talk. By the way, Valerie said that her godson is coming over later. You guys can have a chat."

Godson?

I was dumbfounded and thought for a moment. Did she mean Sawyer?

Before I could ask, I heard the sound of a car engine coming from outside. Valerie came out of the kitchen and instructed me, "Arianna, can you go and greet Sawyer? I think he's here. He said that he's coming with a friend."

I nodded and walked out to the yard. I saw a slim man in a gray suit getting out of the car. At first glance, he appeared unfamiliar. But upon second glance, I realized that it was Sawyer.
