After he got out of the car, he opened the door of the passenger seat and helped a woman out of the car politely. I thought that the friend he brought with him would be lan. I didn't expect it to be a gorgeous girl I was a little stunned.

However, I soon regained my composure and greeted them with a faint smile, "Long time no see, Sawyer. You really are becoming more and more charming."

Sawyer smiled. The child-like mischief in his eyes had long disappeared and was now replaced with a glint of pensive maturity. He nodded at me and smiled, "Long time no see. You look thinner now!"

I grinned, looked at the woman beside him and asked, "Who is this pretty lady here? Such a beautiful girl. Is she your girlfriend?"

He nodded and held the girl's arm, "Arianna, let me introduce Raiya Hathaway, my girlfriend." Then, he looked at Raiya and said, "Raiya, this is Arianna, my... sister!"

Sister!

When I heard this word, I was dumbstruck for a moment. The term "sister" sounded so foreign coming from him.

Raiya gave me a sweet smile. "Hello, Arianna! You're as beautiful as Sawyer described."

I smiled and said, "Nice to meet you. He must've been exaggerating. Let's go in. The food is almost ready."

We entered the villa together, and I invited them to take a seat. I had so much that I wanted to ask Sawyer. Where was lan? Did he plan to marry Raiya in the future? Was that why he invited her here? Because of his special relationship with Ian, I had never asked them for any details. I thought their relationship would continue to be complicated for a long time, but I didn't expect that he would bring a new girl home one day.

Pedro finished work and arrived home just as Valerie had finished setting the table. Everyone sat at the table and introduced each other. Sawyer looked at Valerie earnestly and said, "Mom, I aome back today to introduce Raiya to you. We are getting married. As for the engagement, I need your help. Raiya is from Jarold City. I don't know much about the etiquette here, so I need your help with that." Valerie looked a little surprised, but it didn't last for long. She paused for a while and answered,

"Well, it's good that you are finally thinking about settling down. I'll handle your engagement. Do you have any special requests? I'll do everything as per your requests."

Sawyer grinned and shook his head slightly, "Raiya and I are fine with anything. We would love to have the engagement party with the two families having a meal and chatting together, maybe at a fancy restaurant. That is all."

Valerie nodded, and a smile lit up her face. She surely felt great happiness at seeing her children get settled down one by one. As a parent, her only wish was for her children to live peaceful and comfortable lives.

The atmosphere was rather lively during the meal, but I felt a little strange when I saw how Sawyer and Raiya interacted with each other. I didn't know how long they had been together, but it didn't seem like they were lovers. They were both very polite and courteous to each other, behaving like acquaintances instead.

After the meal, I went out to the backyard.

Valerie took Raiya upstairs. As a mother, she had probably prepared some gifts for Raiya.

Sawyer and I were in the backyard. He seemed to be a little down. I couldn't help but ask, "Mom mentioned that you moved the company to Jarold

City. Are you planning to stay here in the future?"

He nodded, "Well, Mom asked me to come over to help you manage the Lawson Group. She doesn't want you to be too stressed out. This is good. The whole family will be together."
