I was relieved to see Tobias. It seemed that Sebastian had not done anything to him. Hearing the footsteps, Tobias looked back at me and said with his lips slightly pursed, "I find the Milton family's villa a little odd."

"Huh?" I was taken aback. I was a little confused and asked, "Why do you say that?"

"Look at all the greenery over there, don't you find it odd?" He pointed at the greenery downstairs, but after staring at it, I didn't find anything strange about it.

I looked at him with some confusion and asked, "What's odd about that? I think it looks good. Isn't it just Asian- styled decor? Why care so much about it?"

He glanced at me and answered, "That's not it. Take a closer look at the vegetation. Don't you find something weird about it?"

I didn't find anything strange about it. Most plants withered in winter, thus it was normal for some of the plants in the yard to be brown now. As for the plants that survived, those kinds of plants would not have withered regardless of the change in season. Thus, it was normal for them to be still

green. Again, I found nothing out of the blue.

He sighed and uttered, "The pine tree is growing differently, can't you see that?"

Hearing this, I couldn't help but take a closer look. Indeed, there were about a dozen pine trees dispersed all over the yard, but a few of them in the center of the yard seemed to have withered. However, the pine trees on the side seemed to be growing perfectly fine.

"Is it because the soil in the middle isn't so fertile?" I asked curiously.

He shook his head. "The soil is all the same, and the yard is so far away from the house, it is not quite possible for the villa to block them from getting ample sunlight. Therefore, the only possibility is that the soil underneath is not enough for its roots to spread, or something might be buried underneath."

"A cellar?" There was no underground parking lot in this villa, so it could be a cellar.

He glanced at me and said after a moment of silence, "This villa doesn't need a cellar. It's more likely to be a storage warehouse."

I recalled Sebastian's relationship with Kaleb when they were in Myanway. I suggested to Tobias, "Could it be drugs? Sebastian and Kaleb used to be close back then. However, Jarold City is very strict with drug trafficking, so how was he going to sell it?"

He looked at me and raised his hand to touch his nose. Then, he said, exasperated, "Is that brain of yours useless? This kind of villa always had a basement to it, and they used it as a hideout. For a normal- sized villa, they used it as a garage."

I was a little speechless. I pursed my lips and answered, "It is you who observed way too many details. That is why I ended up overthinking things, why else would I think that far?" Leaning back in his chair, he stared at me and asked, "What? Look at you. Did Sebastian detain you?"

Looking at his calm face, I was speechless for a moment. What was he trying to do? "Why are you so comfortable? We are being detained, but why are you still so calm? Aren't you afraid that Sebastian is going to murder us?"

He looked up at me, snorted, and said to me, "Sebastian is a homicidal maniac. He kills whomever he wishes. I bet you have something he wants, but you are not going to hand it over to him!" I was stupefied for a moment. How did he manage to piece everything together so quickly?
