At that point, Sean stopped beating around the bush and looked at me with a serious expression, asking, "Mrs. Roberts, take what Miss Moore said as my real thoughts. What do you think about it?"

"Me?" I pointed at myself and laughed as I added, "What thoughts can I have? Freya knows me well. I'm not an easy person to please. I can't get used to it when I'm in a foreign country, and can only stay in my home country. Why should I make any assumptions if things won't actually happen?"

It seemed that Sean still didn't know that I proposed to Hendrix to stop the financing project.

After that, I looked up at Minnie, who was standing next to me. I ordered, "Ask the chef to prepare a few dishes from Mr. Sean's country. Mr. Sean is going back to his country soon. We have to make sure that he's well treated here."

"Got it," Minnie responded with a smile and went into the kitchen.

Minnie was about to leave when Sean stopped her.

"There's no need for all the trouble," Sean said as he stood up abruptly and buttoned up the last button of his suit. He tidied up his clothes before saying, "My piece of good offering has been delivered. I will not join you for dinner then, as I don't have any appetite. Besides, we're about to be late for our flight. Goodbye."

"You too," I responded. After all, he was the representative of a huge company. Although the conversation didn't end well, out of politeness, Freya and I still got up to walk him out.

Seeing Sean getting into the car and the car driving far away, Freya looked into the distance, clearly worried as she said, "You two really offended Sean and those behind him this time."

I was unbothered. "Is that true? I don't even know that I have such capability if you didn't tell me."

"Stop fooling around. I heard about it. GW Group has never failed to get any project they had their eyes on in recent years. This may not end well. You and Hendrix must be careful," Freya advised. While talking, Freya held onto my arm and walked inside. She suddenly changed the topic. "How's your IVF going?"

"We're almost there," I replied. "The implantation is just in another two days, then I'll need to lie around in the house for half a month to know whether I've gotten the baby or not." "I hope it's successful," Freya said with a tinge of emotion. She continued, "It's not easy for you to come to this point. Hopefully, there won't be any more problems."

I was amused by her maturity, teasing, "Do you know that you're like an old granny when you're nagging?"

"Huh, that's because I'm worried for you!" Freya said as she halted in her tracks and reached out to pat me on the arm, adding, "I wish I'm an old granny! Perhaps then you'll take my words seriously. Forget it if you don't listen to me about Estella, but you must never let your guard down when it comes to GW Group. Their hands wouldn't be clean for them to reach where they are today!"
