My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 524
Hendrix was a cold-hearted person. The responsibility he bore on Andrea was greater than anything else. He looked at her and asked coldly, "What do you want?" Andrea did not expect him to be indifferent. She gasped and her face turned pale, "Take me to my mother."
I was even more surprised than Andrea. Valerie is her own mother. Why does she need Hendrix's help?
Hendrix seemed calm, so he said, "Okay."
He looked at her indifferently and said, "Austin will take care of you, do not come if there is nothing important in the future."
Andrea's face was pale as a ghost, and her eyes were filled up with tears. After a long moment, she nodded and said, "Okay!"
There were obvious traces of tremor in her voice.
"It's getting late, Arianna and I will be busy later. You can go back first if there is nothing else," Hendrix spoke without emotions at all.
This was an order for her to leave.
I understood the meaning behind, and so did
Andrea.
"Okay!" She gave a one-word answer again. She turned around with a sad and miserable look in her eyes.
Seeing her out of the villa, I pursed my lips and seemed to see myself in the past, "Hendrix, are you this heartless to every woman?" His black eyes gazed at me. "Not to you!"
I did not say anything further, but I still wanted to get an answer to that question, "Why does Andrea need you to take her to Valerie?" What happened to the both of them?
Hendrix's eyes darkened as he looked at me, "Have you thought of looking for your biological parents?"
I paused for a moment and asked, "How did you manage to jump the topic so fast?"
He frowned and didn't say much. He continued, "Answer my question."
I thought for a moment before answering him, "I would be lying if I said I don't want to, but it's been so many years, I don't know if we can get along well if I see them again. You never get a second chance to meet someone. They probably didn't think about looking for me when they left me. So, to be honest and cruel, I wouldn't want to look for them anymore."
Seeing the strange look in his eyes, I couldn't help but ask, "Why did you ask this so suddenly?"
He shook his head and pursed his lips slightly. He then looked at me and said, "Go upstairs and get changed, we will be heading out later!"
Thinking of the message that Sawyer sent me, I couldn't help frowning, "Are we really going to have dinner with Valerie?"
He nodded and motioned me to get changed.
I wanted to refuse but decided not to after thinking about it.
After washing up, I got dressed and put on light makeup. When I went downstairs, I saw Hendrix had already packed up Anne's milk bottle and diapers. Seeing him deft and quick, I asked, "Hendrix, have you changed Anne's diapers?"
He hummed in agreement, placed the bottle in the stroller, looked at me, and said, "Let's go!"
Err! Err!
I am a good-for-nothing.
Hendrix pushed the baby stroller out of the villa and went to the garage to take the car. I held onto the baby stroller and waited for him in the yard.
I was stunned for a few moments when I saw a woman squatting at the entrance of the courtyard.
Then I realized that it was Andrea.
I frowned. Hendrix also noticed Andrea at the entrance as he drove out of the garage.
Without saying any words, he carried Anne and put her onto the baby cradle. He then looked at me and said, "Let's go!"
Andrea got up from the steps upon hearing us. She ran and stood in front of the car.
He looked at Hendrix and asked, "Hendrix, are you going to see my mother? Take me with you!"
Hendrix frowned and was displeased. He said, "Austin will come and pick you up later."
Andrea's eyes were red, "It's so cold. Hendrix, I beg you. Please take me with you!"
"Hop in!" I invited her, feeling a little annoyed, "It is unnecessary to make a mess of yourself to gain sympathy."
