Valerie and Pedro left, and I stayed behind in the hospital to accompany Hendrix. Hendrix gave Evan a call, and their conversation revolved around the company's business.

I sat aside and waited in silence. It took him about half an hour to finish the call.

He frowned slightly after hanging up on the call.

He took the book from my hand, looked at me and said softly, "Evan has found a good ointment. Let's try using it after we get back. You should be all right soon."

Holding his hand, I said, "We can go to bed after the doctor comes over to change your dressing."

I nodded. Then, I looked at him and asked without myself knowing, "If you don't like it, I won't keep in touch with Pedro and Valerie."

After thinking for a while, I replied, "Although Natalie's death isn't directly related to the Moore Family, she did get involved in the accident because of them. I can understand the grudge you have against the Moore Family. We have so much time left in this world. We don't have to make things difficult for ourselves."
