My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 921
I met Sebastian when I went to visit my grandmother's grave. Although I had doubts about meeting him, I didn't think much about it. Later, he came to my assistance when I was almost abducted by someone
outside the cemetery. I thought he'd just done it out of kindness.
However, looking back at it, perhaps things weren't as simple as I thought.
There weren't that many coincidences in this world.
"I want that sandalwood box that Carol left you," he said, looking at me with his deep and cold eyes.
I couldn't help but stiffen as I frowned at him. "That's a Twin Box. How did you know I have it with me?" I asked.
He smiled lightly, "I did some homework."
After his simple answer, he did not speak again.
Logically speaking, I shouldn't hand it over so easily. After all, my grandma had left that box to me. But it was worth it, if I could use it in exchange for the lives of five people, and for Hendrix's ease. I nodded and agreed, "Okay!"
He smiled, satisfied with my answer. Then, he got up and said, "Go to bed early tonight. You need to get up early tomorrow!"
I nodded. Just as I was about to continue, Kaleb had already come down from the staircase behind me.
"What are you two talking about, Mr. Milton?" asked Kaleb as he squinted his eyes at me and looked me over.
Then, his gaze swept over my face as he said callously, "Her figure is well- proportioned. A slender waist, large breasts, and her facial features aren't bad. Still, she's not quite the ravishing beauty, and even has a scar. What do you like about her?"
His question was directed at Sebastian.
Sebastian looked at me and smiled. "Fair skin's all the same, but one's heart matters."
With a snort, Kaleb sat down in his chair and regarded me with narrow eyes.
He said, "She's just the kind of woman the men in our country like!"
I didn't feel comfortable staying any longer upon hearing this. I turned around and went upstairs, thinking about Sebastian's words.
It would be a great blessing if he could really take us away this time.
I went to check on Naomi and the others again. Naomi's complexion had gotten better, and she had also slightly regained her consciousness.
She told me, teary eyed as she tugged at my hand, "I want to go home."
My heart ached, and I repeatedly nodded my head in agreement.
The rest of the girls were also in better shape now, but their faces were still a little pale.
Any normal person would have been driven crazy after staying in such a disgusting place for such an extended period of time.
Kaleb was rarely at the villa. Perhaps because he was afraid of dying, he was exceptionally cautious, and always appeared without notice.
Tiago and Westin were the same as well. They would often suddenly appear when I thought they weren't around. However, I couldn't find them when I needed them. Nighttime came.
I found it hard to fall asleep, as Sebastian's words had given me a ray of hope.
At the thought of being able to bring Naomi and the others back home, I couldn't help but feel a little excited.
I couldn't fall asleep at all.
I was startled when I heard the sound of a car engine downstairs. I thought that Kaleb had come.
I went to the balcony instinctively. I had to take a look.
Before I could make it to the balcony, someone had knocked on the bedroom door, which surprised me.
I headed to open the door after several repeated knocks. Unexpectedly, the person who had knocked was Sebastian.
He was as cold as ever, dressed in a black suit that added to that coldness.
He frowned as I opened the door. "Let's go!" He told me.
Stunned, I asked, "Right now?"
"Someone is distracting Kaleb back at the winery. Now's the best time. I've dealt with all the people outside. Let's go!"
I was confused by this sudden turn of events. However, since he had come, I couldn't let this opportunity go to waste. If I missed it, it would be hard for me to leave again.
