While I sat there, quiet and lost in thought, Linda left me to finish her work.

After ironing out the details for the Lancille Village project, we had to get to work on making plans a reality. So I had to be on site.

As I was tidying up the office, getting ready to leave, Naomi called, inviting me for dinner, but I delayed my answer.

Sebastian was standing at the door to my office. Figuring something had come up, I said to her, "Wait a minute!"

Looking at Sebastian I asked, "Mr. Milton, are you done for the day?"

He nodded and asked, "What are we having for dinner?"

If he hadn't reminded me, I would have forgotten about having to provide his meals for the day. I stared blankly for a few seconds, then remembered Naomi's dinner invitation. "It's not decided yet. What would you like to eat?"

His eyes fell, as if disappointed. "Anything will do, it's time to get off work. Let's go!" "Alright, you go ahead and leave first. I still need to sort out a few things. I'll be out soon." After he left, I picked up the phone again. "Naomi!" "Hmm, are you going to refuse my invitation?" Naomi asked through the phone.

I touched my forehead, slightly amused by her lack of common sense. Then I said, "Don't be crazy. This is such a great opportunity. Don't you want a chance with a highly desirable bachelor?" "What do you mean?"

"It means that you have a very good chance now. I will send you Mr. Milton's address. You'll be cooking tonight and I'll be your wingman. So, why don't we have dinner at Mr. Milton's house tonight?" When she understood my meaning, she immediately said happily, "Really? Arianna, you're my lucky star. Wait for me, I'll be right there!"

After hanging up the phone, I hurried out of the office and found Sebastian's car in the parking lot.

I waved away the lingering cigarette smoke in the car and coughed. I couldn't help asking, "Is there something on your mind?"

He started the car and said shortly, "No."

We drove in silence. It seemed like he wasn't in a pleasant mood. And I had no idea why.

Half an hour later, we arrived at the villa.

Sebastian went straight to his calligraphy room. I walked around the kitchen and checked on what ingredients we had on hand.

Naomi carried a big bag when she came in, and I chided her. "I've already told you not to get anything, what's all this?"

She blinked her eyes innocently. "I wasn't sure what ingredients you had, so I brought what I needed. By the way, I just saw a familiar face next door."

"Who?" I asked as I took the food from her hand.

"It looked like Hendrix's assistant. I think he's moving in." Naomi was quite skilled in the kitchen and we worked well together, washing and chopping up vegetables.

I blanked for a moment then said, "Evan is moving here?"

She nodded as she started mixing the ingredients.

Confused thoughts swirled in my head. Even though the cost of housing in Asherton was not as costly as in Jarold City, the price of villas in this area was nearly twenty thousand. He was married with kids, why would he buy an expensive villa here?

He doesn't come here often. His work was based in Jarold City, and even as an investment, it was a lot of expenses to handle.

Putting away the confusion, I just carried on helping Naomi.

Remembering what I asked Linda, I asked her, "What are you doing on Valentine's Day?"

She looked at me, "Do you have plans?"

I nodded. "I made plans with Linda for dinner."

She chuckled and said, "I can guarantee that she'll ditch you."
