-You’re telling me you’re the prince of the werewolves?

-Yes.” The boy smiles sweetly. -Does that make you uncomfortable?

-No, but it surprises me. I think you’re like a little box of surprises. Is there anything else I should know?

-Yes, as a future king I need a queen by my side, and since you are my moon… will you be my wife?

Good heavens, she hadn’t expected that evening. Marry a wolf prince? Should she? She bit her lips in doubt… it was all so fast, she still didn’t remember anything of her past life and now a werewolf was proposing to her.

-I understand if you don’t want to accept me, I understand that all of this is a lot to process. Other than that, you still don’t have your memory back I can understand you rejecting me Valentina. But at least you could stay by my side. You are very important to me.

-Thank you for understanding me. -I feel that everything is too fast for me.

-Don’t worry. -He answers with a bit of disappointment in his voice, he was actually expecting a yes. But he had no right to push her either. -It’s okay, it’s all right. -He hugs her tightly.

-When are we leaving?

-Tomorrow!

-So soon? -She pulls away from him.

-I’m sorry.

-Can I take Sofia with me?

The alpha frowns at his moon’s request. Why would he want to take Lili’s daughter? She doubted her parents would allow it but well, if it would make her feel good she would try to take her at least for a while.

-I’ll try!

-Thank you.

The next morning came so fast that it surprised Valentina, the radiant sun exploded in her room waking her up in seconds. The girl noticed that she was alone in bed, then she looked up at the ceiling sighing heavily. Her heart began to beat faster, she didn’t know why she had woken up that morning like that. Suddenly the bedroom door opened with a crash and Sofia ran into the bed and threw herself on it.

-Ahhhhhh! -The alpha told me you want me to come with you to stay in a castle. Will I be a princess?

-You will. -Valentina smiles, admiring the little girl’s smile. “Did your parents give you permission?

-Yes, my father allowed the alpha to take me with him.

-That’s great, Sofia.

-Why do you want me to go with them?

Valentina’s smile faded. There was a reason she didn’t want Sofia to stay in the village, and it was because she felt that little girl knew that wolf I’m talking about. He had a feeling that if she stayed there something might happen to the girl. But that would be something she wasn’t willing to tell him.

-I think you’d be very bored without my company. As would I.

-You’re right. -The little girl smiles at her. -We should pack, the alpha has told me we leave in two hours.

The cub gets to her feet and runs out of the room. Valentina imitates her, as she didn’t have much to pack she just set out to pick up Eren’s things.

-I will miss you so much my daughter! -Lili said goodbye to her daughter, kissing her all over.

-Mum, the alpha told me I could come whenever I wanted.

-Be good, stop the mischief and don’t get Valentina into trouble. -She asks her seriously.

-It’s ok Lili, I’ll take good care of her. -The brunette proclaims to one side of them.

-I’ll miss you Valentina, I hope they come back soon for a visit.

-Me too, I’ll try to convince Eren to come often.

The women smile and hug each other as if they would never see each other again… when they separate, Lili hugs her daughter while Valentina looks at Eren who was approaching them with Deon.

-Time to go. -Sentence.

She says goodbye to her beta leaving him in charge of the herd. Luckily the people understood the obligations of their alpha as the new king, rather they felt happy since their new king would be fair and brave… after the farewells Eren in company of the two girls left towards the castle of Bardas. It was a long journey they would be making. Following them a group of wolves appointed by the king followed them for any mishap that might arise along the way.

Lucian was biting the bodies of some hunters he encountered in lands far away. Since he became a threat to them, the humans had disappeared. So he had to go into the lands of other alphas to find more slaves… when he spotted a group of people gathering their things in a hurry, he was quick to attack them. It was very easy for him to finish them off, they were weak but otherwise disgusting. He repudiated humans, to him they were the most despicable and inferior beings he could deal with.

Watching as many turned to wolves, leaving behind their weapons to become Lucians themselves, he senses the presence of the boy he had chosen as his right hand, he was strong and had earned the position. He looks sideways at the small animal listening to his thoughts, the connection that existed between them was unlike any other wolf, only his creator could understand them.

-Really? -He growls when he hears the news they brought him. “He’s gone? With the human?

Lucian growls even louder, Eren was most likely on his way to Bardas castle. And that was what he was waiting for, the way to the king’s castle wasn’t easy to find. No matter how hard he tried he could never find his whereabouts. But now that the prince was leaving his trail, his boys would follow him without any problems… He saw how all the humans successfully turned into wolves, he was already an expert with the transformation. But he needed more, if he was going to attack the castle directly he needed many slaves to make his way to his destination.

-Let them follow him, but without him noticing you. Find the way to the castle and I don’t want any mistakes. -He growls at the wolf who runs away.

After a day’s journey Eren finally arrived at the place where he had lived for years with his family. As they walked up the path to the castle he took a look at Valentina, she looked very tired, he could understand she hadn’t made many stops during the journey but Sofia didn’t look a bit tired. Because of her nature, the girl had more endurance, you could tell the difference, Valentina was very fragile.

She mentally shook her head as she slowly climbed, suddenly several brown wolves emerged from the bushes. They were running up the steep mountain at an impressive speed, Eren smiled. They were welcoming him as the welcoming voices were ringing in his head.

-Eren! -He heard Sofia’s shout from behind him. -It’s Valentina.” He catches the brunette kneeling on the sand, breathing heavily. So he runs to her.

-Valentina, are you feeling sick? -He takes her in his arms, carrying her like a princess. -I’m so sorry, we should have stopped more often.

-No, I’m fine. -He lays her head back on his chest, I just need a little time. -She answers tiredly.
