Lucian smiles openly at Eren’s threat. Everything was in his favour, for one thing the information provided by that old albino was useful, he had just discovered another incredible secret about his past life, having descendants gave him more power.

-Let’s get this over with,” he says to both wolves, “I only want you,” he points to Bardas, Eren looks at his father who doesn’t seem surprised, “Don’t make it harder Bardas.

-Father to the side.

Eren prostrated himself in front of Lucian imposing his presence, he growled at the man holding his moon and leaving his dirty hands on her. It pissed him off even more than he already was.

-If you don’t step aside, I’ll bite the back of your beloved’s neck and you know what happens when two alphas do that. She’ll die, she’ll never resist two powerful alpha bites.” He uncovers the back of the brunette’s neck by pushing her hair aside.

-Noooo…” Valentina cries in tears.

-Don’t you dare you bastard or I swear I’ll rip your f*****g head off.

Valentina didn’t understand anything that was happening, she assumed that they were talking through their minds but it wasn’t difficult for her to guess the man’s intentions, he wanted to bite her where Eren had done. She tried to break away from him but it was no use, he was holding her too tightly. Suddenly she saw the silver wolf in front of her slowly approaching, growling and drooling, he was angry and that’s when she realised that the man behind her was planning to bite her.

She closed her eyes tightly and tensed her body as she felt the man’s warm breath on the back of her neck, so much adrenaline was coursing through her veins that an intense pain suddenly settled throughout her body. The girl with a single blow pushed Lucian backwards while she fell against the ground gasping at the imminent change in her body. Every part of her body began to transform into jet black fur.

-Ahhhhhhh! -He cried out in pain as he felt his bones stretch, his ribs contract and his jaw grow considerably.

Everyone was a spectator but Lucian was apparently unwilling to allow that change as the bond between her and the alpha would be complete at last if she transformed. So he pounced on the chestnut’s body turning into a wolf, and just before he got on top of her Eren jumped on him protecting his moon while he changed… the wolves were engaged in a battle of bites which ended up tearing their flesh, the alpha’s healed instantly but the albino’s not so fast.

While Eren was fighting the albino wolf, Valentina was having a truly horrible time. She looked at her hands and noticed that she was turning into a wolf. A few more minutes of pain and then she felt nothing more.

-Valentina, stand up.” That voice, she knew it. She was a little disoriented, but she knew that voice, who was it? -Valentina! -It kept ringing in her head, what was going on?

-What was going on? -She spoke but her words didn’t come out, it was as if she was speaking from her brain, it was very strange.

-Do you know who I am?

The black wolf looks up to see an albino wolf before her whimpering… it was Eren’s father, of course it was him.

-Bardas…

-Yes,” she replies, licking the she-wolf’s ear, “Stand up, girl, take your new form.

She obeys and as she can she stands up carrying the tremendous weight of her body, how was it that a human being could transform into a huge wolf so heavy?

-Valentina! You are a beautiful black wolf-Sofia sticks to her leg smiling at her and Valentina licks her face.

-Are you all right?

-Yes.

-My love, are you okay? -Eren’s voice echoed in her head, she looked up and saw that he was holding Lucian by the neck.

-I’m fine.

-Son, end this once and for all.

-No, no, no, no…” Lucian pleaded, trying to bite Eren to get him off but it was useless, the king possessed unquestionable strength. Therefore, he ended up breaking Lucian’s neck with a single tug.

The silver wolf releases him and runs towards his beloved, the two join sniffing each other’s muzzles. The alpha licks his she-wolf all over, showing his love.

-You are beautiful, a beautiful black wolf.

-Do you think so?

-Of course I do, my queen, now will you marry me?

-She licks him with eagerness.

Then in the middle of the joy of Valentina’s debut as the new member of the family, out of nowhere a scent of b***d reaches Eren who worries because that was not good… without saying a word he runs off in the direction of his domain followed by his father and his beloved.

Valentina barely managed to run, it was very difficult for her to walk on all fours, therefore her steps were slow, Sofia followed her as she was still in her human form… by the time they both managed to catch up with Eren and her father what they found was not at all pleasant.

Eren stopped his steps as he saw the massacre in his pack, many wolves lay dead on the ground and others were trying to get up with help. Eren ran past the wolf in a specific direction, that particular scent bothered him as he stopped in front of his beta’s house and heard the scream of a small girl behind him. Sofia ran into the house, Eren returned to his normal state following the little girl to find his two friends on the floor covered in b***d.

-Mommy, daddy,” Sofia cried out in tears, falling over the bodies of her parents.

-Lili,” said the alpha, knowing that only she was still alive, but not for long, her friend Deon was dead.

-Alpha, take care of my Sofia please,” she pleaded with a gleam in her eye.

-I will!

-No mum, please don’t go,” begged the puppy over her mother, at that Valentina enters in her human form covered by a blanket. She bows to her friend and takes the girl by the shoulders.

-Come on, little one.” She takes the little one to get her out of there, but she refuses, Valentina looks at Lili, whose life is slipping away little by little.

-Yes,” she answers, shedding a joint tear as the last breath of her body leaves her body.

-The girl screams at the top of her lungs crying over Lili who had stopped breathing.

-Valentina, get the puppy out of here.

The brunette heeded Eren’s words and took the girl away from her parents. A few surviving wolves entered Deon’s house, the alpha looked at his friends for the last time.

-We must bury them all, and the rest will go with me to the castle.

-My alpha, with all due respect, but we wish to remain in the village. Those of us who are left alive want to rebuild the village,” Eren looks sideways at them and nods.

The alpha leaves his friends house noting that many male and female wolves survived, that was good. If everyone’s decision was to stay then he would respect their wishes. All that remained was to proclaim a new alpha who could guide them with good leadership….

After several hours Eren and his family buried their companions, many shed tears for their loved ones, others for their friends. But that was the cycle of life, some die, others live longer.

-We must go.” Announces Bardas.

-Yes.

Eren takes his moon by the hand, smiling at her, she smiles back as he takes Sofia by the hand, who from now on would live with them in the palace like a princess.

-It’s all over. Let’s go home! -Her moon nods.

Imperious darkness fell quickly over the forest, turning the roads into almost nothing in sight. The moon became visible only infrequently as thick clouds covered it at times, and given one of those moments of light the body of a man half moved, then slowly began to writhe endlessly as if convulsing.

The sound of bones rattled in the silent forest, and after that Lucian’s body abruptly sat upright and remained seated on the damp earth, breathing heavily as he blinked repeatedly as if confronting what the hell had happened.

-I’m still alive!
