Chapter 658 Knit a Scarf
Even his means might be harsher than Cayden's.
"Got it," Hearing Burton's fate, Zach sighed in his heart.
It seemed that they had underestimated Cayden's abnormality.
Cayden appeared to be a mild and sunny young man, but his means of revenge were so ferocious.
But Burton had asked for it. All this was because he kidnapped Ms. Raines.
He knew how important Ms. Raines was to Cayden, but he had got some nerve to kidnap her.
Well, that was the end of Burton, and he deserved it.
"By the way, how's your investigation on Dallin? Julien lowered his eyes and asked in a low voice.
Zach pushed his eyeglasses, "Same old Dallin. He goes fishing, plays chess, or stays at his villa every day. I didn't notice anything strange about him."
Julien narrowed his eyes, without saying anything.
In his opinion, the strangest thing about Dallin was that Dallin did nothing strange.
Dallin was her mother's first lover, and the two of them loved each other very much when they were young.
He even found out that Dallin had been to the Flint family's house once and had trouble with his father. Although he did not find out what the trouble was, according to the fact that Dallin left in anger in the end, the trouble made Dallin hate his father very much.
So the possibility that Dallin was the murderer of his father was certainly the highest.
Moreover, Dallin, as the head of the Sullivan family and the president of Sullivan Corporation, had never gone to Sullivan Corporation to manage it. Instead, he stayed in his villa all the year around, fishing and planting flowers, which was obviously unreasonable.
Thinking of this, Julien tapped his office desktop with his fingers, making the desktop make a rhythmic rattle.
"Keep watching him. I don't believe he'll stay that way," He ordered in a low voice. If Dallin really was the one who had killed his father and caused his car accident, then one day Dallin would give himself away. "Yes, Mr. Flint," Zach stood up straight and replied.
On the other side, in Skylight Corporation. Sydney put down her phone and asked Sean up.
"Ms. Raines, what is your command?" Sean asks respectfully, standing across from Sydney's office desk.
At this moment, Sean had cooled down and returned to her usual working state, which made Sydney less worried.
Sydney asked with a smile, "Sean, where did you buy the wool for the scarf you knitted for Luke?"
Hearing what she said, Sean asked in surprise, "would you like to knit a scarf, too?
"Yes," Sydney nodded. "Julien saw that one of his subordinates had received a scarf from his wife, so he asked me to knit one for him, saying he didn't want to lose to his subordinate."
"Pooh," Sean couldn't stop laughing," President Flint is so fun that he compares this with his subordinate."
Sydney shook her head helplessly, "Yeah, I didn't expect him to be so naive at the age of thirty-one. I was unable to dissuade him, so I promised to knit one for him."
"So nice," Sean looked at her enviously.
President Flint would take the initiative to ask Ms. Raines to knit a scarf for him, and the scarf she volunteered to knit for President Chase was thrown away by President Chase without hesitation. That was a huge difference.
Looking at Sean's upset look, Sydney knew what she was thinking. Sydney stopped smiling, and she felt a little guilty, "Sorry, Sean. I shouldn't have mentioned this to you."
The scarf Sean knitted was just thrown away by Luke, and she told Sean that Julien wanted her to knit a scarf for him. Wasn't that just an irritation to Sean?
"I'm okay, Ms. Raines," Sean waved her hand and said with a smile," I don't think it's a big deal."
There were so many couples around her. If she was usually irritated by those couples who had good relationships, she would have been driven crazy. "Really?" Sydney was still a little worried.
Sean nodded, "Yes."
Sydney stared at her for a moment. Seeing her serious look, Sydney believed that she was really not affected, so she was relieved, "That's good."
"Ms. Raines, you just asked me where I bought the wool for the scarf that I knitted, right?" Sean asked.
Sydney answered, "Yes, I haven't knitted a scarf for many years, so I don't know where to buy the wool. If I buy it online, it takes me several days to receive it and I don't want to wait that long."
"I see," Sean pushed her black eyeglasses and said, "I bought the wool in a shop near our Skylight Corporation, and I'm going out to deliver some papers later. I can buy some for you." "That's great. Thank you," Sydney said with a smile.
"It's okay," Sean waved her hand and then asked, "What color do you want?"
"Black," Sydney answered.
"Got it, Ms. Raines. May I leave now?" Sean pointed to the door.
Sydney said, "Go ahead."
Sean turned and left.
When it was about time to get off work in the afternoon, Sean sent the wool for the scarf to Sydney.
Sydney took out the wool and looked at it. This pure cashmere wool felt very soft and comfortable.
Sydney was very satisfied with it. After transferring the money to Sean, she left work with her bag.
It was half past six when she returned to Shallow Bay.
Sydney went to the kitchen and made herself something to eat. After eating, she sat on the sofa and began to study how to make a scarf out of cashmere wool.
She had not knitted a scarf for many years, so when she first started knitting, she was a little unfamiliar, and she cast on slowly.
But fortunately, she gradually became familiar with it, so she knitted faster.
It was not hard to knit a scarf, and it didn't take long. If people kept knitting it, they could finish it in one night.
Even some people knitted it so fast that they could finish it in five or six hours.
Sydney didn't sleep all night and kept knitting it. Until the morning light, she had finished a nice men's scarf.
She shook the scarf and checked. After making sure it was okay, she put it in a bag. She was going to put it away and give it to Julien on his birthday.
Just as Sydney put away the scarf, it suddenly rained heavily and blew a gale.
The cold wind whistled through the floor-to-ceiling windows and made Sydney shiver.
She hurried to walk over and closed the floor-to-ceiling windows. No sooner had she breathed a sigh of relief than her cell phone rang.
Sydney walked over to the sofa, bent down and picked up her phone from the tea table. Seeing the caller ID on her mobile phone, she froze for a moment and then quickly answered the phone.
It was the Old Madam's phone call. As soon as the phone was connected, the Old Madam quickly asked, "Syd, are you at Julien's place?"
"No," Sydney shook her head.
The Old Madam asked again, "Do you know where Julien is? I asked Velma just now, and she said that Julien did not return to Flint Mansion. I can't contact Julien, and his assistant's phone is disconnected now, so I have to ask you."
Hearing the Old Madam's anxious voice, Sydney became anxious too, but she still took a deep breath, tried to keep calm and comforted the Old Madam, "Grandma, don't worry. I think I might know where he is. He's in Cloud Building."
Hearing Sydney's words, the Old Madam's anxious face suddenly showed a smile. She said, striking her chest, "Really? That's good. Well, Syd, hurry up and see how Julien is doing now. If he has hurt himself you need to save him quickly. If he hasn't done it yet, you must stop him immediately. He won't let us come near him today, but you may be the exception, so I can only trust you now. Please."
