Owned By Her Triplet Bullies -
(Bk 2) Chapter 82
Lexi's POV
I was lying in bed resting after a tedious workout session with Mady. My bones ache so bad that I promised myself I would never let her talk me into it ever again. A message suddenly popped out on my screen.
"A package will come for you in a minute. Accept it and the driver will pick you up. Can't wait to see you. With love Mason," I read it out loud, slightly confused. I heard the doorbell ring and I walked out to answer it. Mady left after our workout to meet up with Torres. After Mason found out about their relationship, they didn't bother to hide it in front of us anymore. Although they sneaked around at times thinking we had no idea. They were a cute couple. "A package for Miss Lexi?" the delivery man asked.
"That's me," I replied.
"Sign over here miss," he said politely. I signed it and he handed over the package to me. I took it and headed back inside.
Pulling the ribbons apart, I uncovered the box and was met with the most beautiful white dress I've ever seen. I put it on and it was a lightweight elegant dress, yet relaxed design with a comfortable fit, adorned with delicate lace and embroidery. The dress had thin spaghetti straps, and its length fell to my ankles. It was simple yet beautiful. I brushed my hair and let it cascade down my back in waves. While sitting in front of the mirror and applying my make-up, I thought of what this was all about.
After that night I told Mason about my mum, it kind of felt like he was avoiding me. We didn't spend much time together like we used to. I thought we were going to spend more time together since we would leave soon but I was wrong. And now, all of a sudden he sends me a dress and a message? It was all very confusing to me. After I was done with my make-up, I stood up and headed out of the door. I was confused but it was Mason and I was sure he must have a good reason for all this.
I got out of the room and immediately U stepped out, I caught sight of a man waiting in front of a car.
"Miss Lexi, I was sent by Mr. Mason," he said to me, opening the back door. I carefully stepped in and sat quietly at the back. He shut the door and got into the front seat.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked after a while. I was feeling edgy due to my curiosity and I couldn't keep calm anymore.
"I can't say miss. My job is just to drive you, not to disclose any information," he replied politely. I sighed. I knew he was going to say that but I wanted to try my luck. I tapped my feet anxiously. I didn't like surprises that much because I had no clue what to expect and I hate being caught off guard.
"We are here," the driver announced, snapping me out of my reverie and pulling the car over. I glanced around in surprise when I noticed where we were. He pulled the car open and I stepped out. The feeling of my sandals digging into the sand made me realize my eyes were not playing tricks on me. We were indeed at the...sea.
"Shall we miss?" he asked politely. I nodded in response and he led me towards a boat. I kept glancing at my phone checking if Mason called or texted but he never did. The driver stopped in front of the entrance.
"You can go in. He's waiting," he informed me.
"Thank you, Fredrick," I heard Mason's voice and I turned towards him abruptly.
"Just doing my job sir. Have a lovely night," he replied before leaving. I didn't take my gaze away from Mason. If I was upset before, I definitely wasn't now. He was wearing short casual white pants and a white linen shirt that wasn't buttoned.
"Hi," he muttered with a smile. The smile only made things worse, my heart was beating wildly in my cheats. Was it legal to be that good-looking?
"Hi," I replied silently hoping I don't blurt out anything stupid or worse, I don't drool. That would be so embarrassing. He took my hand in his and helped me up.
"You look beautiful. The dress compliments your skin tone perfectly," he said, taking in my appearance slowly. It was all due to him and his good taste in clothes. All I did was put it on.
"You look pretty too...I meant your abs look well defined...oh my! That wasn't what I meant, I meant you look nice and you smell really good too. Okay, I should shut up now," I blabbered uncontrollably. Can I just dive into the sea and hide away there forever to save me from this extremely embarrassing moment?
He stared at me in amusement. "Are you nervous?"
"You can tell?" I asked in surprise.
He nodded. "You tend to talk a lot when you are nervous."
"I am nervous. You avoided me for days and now all of a sudden you send me a dress and bring me here. I don't know what to expect..." "Wait a minute, I wasn't avoiding you. I was planning this for us. Why would you think that?" he asked.
"I had no idea. I thought you were avoiding me because these past few days, we didn't spend much time together like we used to," I explained. "That's because I was planning this surprise for our last day here. I needed it to be perfect which was why I came here in person," he replied. "What is this surprise?" I asked, glancing around. The inner part of the boat was covered with a curtain so I couldn't see what was inside properly.
"See for yourself," he said, leading me inside. As I step onto the elegant boat walking on petals spread across the floor, my breath hitched at the sheer beauty of the scene before me. The boat is adorned with twinkling fairy lights that reflect on the water's surface, casting a warm and romantic glow. Soft music fills the air immediately.
"Shall we miss?" he asked politely. I nodded in response and he led me towards a boat. I kept glancing at my phone checking if Mason called or texted but he never did. The driver stopped in front of the entrance.
The gentle lapping of the water against the boat's sides was a soothing backdrop to our dinner date. My heart fluttered with excitement as I noticed the table set for two in the center of the boat. It was covered with a delicate lace tablecloth, and a vase filled with fresh roses graced the center. So this was what he had been up to.
"Do you like it?" he asked. I looked at him and he looked nervous.
"I absolutely love it. Thank you so much," I replied happily.
"I'm glad you like it. I wanted to make our last day here memorable," he replied with a smile. He pulled out a chair for me and I took a seat.
"Wait till you try the food. You are going to love it," he assured me, taking a seat in front of me. As the soft wind gently tousled our hair, some waiters brought forth sets of exquisite meals. I didn't have any idea what most of these dishes were but they looked fancy. "You should try this," he said pointing towards one of the dishes. "I've never had any of this before," I said honestly.
"It's okay. I will help you out and if you don't like it, the chef will bring anything you want," he replied. He grabbed a plate, dished out the food, and sliced it into smaller pieces. He passed it to me and I took it gratefully.
"Try it," he urged. I picked up my cutleries and had a taste. Surprisingly it was really good.
"This is really delicious. The meat is so tender that it literally melts in your mouth," I replied in awe.
"It's good that you like it," he replied.
"But how do you know about this place? Have you been here with someone before? A girl perhaps?" I asked, my eyes fixated on my plate.
"I have been here with a girl, numerous times," he responded. I glanced at him abruptly. I said that without thinking but how could he agree to it so easily?
"Oh, I see," I muttered.
"With Mady," he added with a smile. I stared at him in disbelief.
"Who did you think I was talking about? Were you jealous?" he asked curiously.
"Mason, don't joke with me like that," I whined. My mood had changed completely thinking he came with his previous girlfriends numerous times.
"Uncle Xander owns it. I used to come with Mady every time we visited. But I decorated it and hired the chef, just for you. I've never been with anyone here except Mady," he explained.
"What about your past girlfriends? I'm sure you had numerous of them," I muttered. The thought of him being with anyone else even if it was in the past was infuriating.
"It didn't feel right. Can we stop talking about my past girlfriends? Let's focus on us," he responded, getting up from his chair. I looked up at him in surprise.
"Close your eyes," he said, walking closer to me.
