Owned By Her Triplet Bullies -
(Bk 2) Chapter 88
Mason's POV "How
did you..."
"Are you surprised as to how I found out?" she asked cutting me off. "I'm not stupid Mason. Although you lied to me, I knew what was going on all along. Did you think I was going to buy your story of wanting to go to the bathroom?" she inquired. "You knew all this while but you didn't say anything?" I asked.
"The topic made you uncomfortable and I didn't want you to feel that way. That was why I pretended not to notice and I didn't say anything," she replied.
"A panic attack? We had no idea about this," Mum said worriedly.
"How would you? When the only thing you all cared about was how he was going to succeed the Alpha title," Mady retorted.
"Mady, how can you say a thing like that? We care about you both and we love you both, equally," Mum replied.
"I don't know about that but all I know is right now, I don't want to be Alpha. And I don't like the pressure at all," I added walking past them.
"Where are you going?" Father Alex asked.
"To a place where I won't have to listen to your lessons," I replied and headed downstairs. I sighed in relief. It felt good letting all that out. It felt like a huge weight had just been lifted off my shoulders.
"Is everything okay?" Lexi asked getting up from the chair.
I nodded with a smile. "Everything is fine." Why wouldn't it be? I finally let go of what has been bothering me for a very long time. If I knew it was going to feel this satisfying, I would have done it a long time ago. "Are you sure? You looked quite serious earlier," she replied skeptically.
"How about we go on a trip?" I asked about changing the topic. I had been thinking about it for a while. And right now seemed like the best time to put my plans into action.
"What are you talking about all of a sudden?" she asked looking confused.
"Let's go on a trip," I repeated firmly this time around.
"A trip? Why? How did that occur to you all of a sudden?" she asked in surprise. I shrugged.
"I've been thinking about it for a long time and now seems like the right time," I replied.
"How is this the right time? We just came back from a trip and we still have school..."
"You don't have to worry about school. I'm going to teach you everything you need to know. Trust me," I assured her.
"I do trust you but isn't this too soon? When do you want us to leave?" she asked. She already looked surprised but she would be shocked when she found out about what I had to say.
"The earlier we leave, the possible. I was thinking we leave right now," I muttered. Her eyes widened in shock.
"Right now? Are you sure this thought just occurred to you or you've been planning this for a very long time?" she asked.
"You don't have to worry about the time. All you have to do is agree and I will take care of the rest. If we buy tickets now, we can still make it in time," I answered glancing at my wristwatch. All I had to do was inform Mady and she would explain to our parents. "Okay. But I have to inform my parents first..."
"Don't worry. We will make a stop at your house and you can inform them and also pack some things," I replied taking her hand in mine with a smile.
"Don't we have to inform your parents too?" she asked curiously.
"I will do that later," I responded. We both walked out. I got the car for her and she sat patiently as I talked to the driver. When I was done, I joined her and the driver drove us towards her home.
"I will talk to them alone. I will be right back," she said getting out of the car. I agreed this trip was impromptu but I loved the idea of being alone with her in a place where no one knew who we were. I didn't need to wait for a long time before she arrived. I used that period to book our tickets.
"Did they agree?" I asked curiously.
"What do you think?" she asked with a smile as the driver took her little suitcase.
"You know you are actually crazy. I've never seen anyone plan such a trip before," she said taking a seat beside me.
"What can I say? I find myself doing crazy things when it comes to you," I responded.
She rolled her eyes but I caught sight of the faint blush on her cheeks. "Where are we going?"
"I can't tell you that. You will see when we get there," I replied. We got to the airport just in time for our flight. She sat beside me and placed her head on my shoulder. She dozed off as soon as the plane took off. I slept for a while too. It had been a tiring day. "Wake up babe. We are here," I said gently nudging her awake. She groaned, opening her eyes begrudgingly.
"We are here?" she grumbled. I hummed in response.
"Sorry for dozing off," she said.
"It's okay. It's been a long day. Come on," I held her hand and we got off the plane together.
"Aren't we supposed to go to that side?" she asked pointing towards the exit where cabs were packed.
"We haven't reached our destination yet. We will be going further on that jet over there," I replied pointing towards it.
"Who does it belong to?" she asked curiously.
"The owner is walking right beside you," I responded. She looked towards me abruptly.
"Y.. you own a jet?" she asked in shock.
I smiled. "It was a gift from my father Cole on my 16th birthday. Mady got a yacht."
"A yacht and a jet as a birthday gift? This is the first time I've heard of that," she replied in awe.
"If you want, I can gift you a jet for your next birthday if you want," I said as we got into the jet.
"Can you really do that?" she inquired.
I nodded. "I have enough money to last me a lifetime. Have a seat." I looked towards her neck and I smiled when I noticed she was still wearing the necklace I gifted her.
"But that's the co-pilot's sit. Am I allowed to sit there?" she asked with furrowed brows.
"You are because I'm the pilot," I replied unfazed.
"What!" she exclaimed her eyes as wide as saucers. I chuckled at her response.
"Is it that shocking?" I asked.
"Shocking? It's unbelievable. Where did you learn that from?" she inquired.
"I learned on my own but my parents didn't let me ride until I was licensed. Although I had to be their pilot a couple of times before I was allowed to ride on my own," I explained. "Geniuses sure are different. Is there anything you can't do?" she asked with a smile.
"Your mate is an all-rounder. As long as something can be done, it won't be too difficult for me to do," I replied checking on the engines.
She clapped excitedly. "Wow! I'm such a lucky girl."
"No, I'm the lucky one. Sit tight," I helped her to her seat and settled her on her seat. After checking that all safety measures were in place, I started to pilot the plane. I noticed she was nervous. I drew closer and gave her a peck on the lips. Her lips parted in surprise and I resisted the urge to devour them.
"Don't you trust me?" I asked.
"I trust you completely. I just don't trust myself. What if I touch something and something bad happens?" she asked nervously.
"It's fine. I trust you will do great," I assured her and she visibly relaxed.
"We are about to take off. Ready?" I asked my gaze fixed on the road. She nodded in response.
"Here we go," I replied as we took off. Lexi stared out of the window in awe as she pointed out of the window. This was the first time I had seen her so chatty and relaxed. I had a feeling I made a good call and this was going to be the best trip ever. We soon arrived at our destination and the town was still as cold as ever. The entire scenery was white and filled with snow.
"Where are we?" Lexi asked.
"It's called ice town. The frost literally never melts. It's the coldest place you can ever be," I responded. I landed in a safe spot and a pilot waiting came to take over.
"Why didn't you tell me we were coming to such a cold place? I didn't pack any cold clothes," Lexi said.
"Why would you need clothes when you have me? I can keep you warm by cuddling you all day and night," I said with a smirk.
