Please Go Away, Mr Smith! – Chapter 562
“No!” Amber said jokingly, “You are now the trending topic queen. I just want to go abroad quietly.”
“I don’t want to be besieged by paparazzi for the relationship problem of you and Shi Muzhou.”
Lu Xiangxiang couldn’t hold back but laughed.
She didn’t stop Amber, but watched her all the way downstairs and stop a taxi at the door.
When Amber arrived at Hai Wan Xiang Xie, the lights in the villa were brilliant and exceptionally bright. Amber licked her lips and said to the driver in a low voice, “Can you wait for me here? I’ll go get something and come back soon.”
The driver nodded, and she went straight upstairs.
There were a lot of servants in Hai Wan Xiang Xie. She walked all the way to the gate, and met three servants. They all greeted her.
Amber didn’t tell Sean that she was going back to Los Angeles. When she actually arrived at Hai Wan Xiang Xie, she found that she was not that brave as she thought.
She was worried that Sean would hurt Lu Xiangxiang and Shi Muzhou.
People with strength liked to take it out on innocent people.
Amber went up to the second floor and walked into the master bedroom.
It was dark in the room. She didn’t see Sean downstairs, and it was dark on the second floor. She was relieved.
Reaching out and turning on the light, she suddenly found that Sean was sitting on the sofa with a cigarette between his fingertips. The smell of tobacco was so strong that it filled her nose.
At his feet, there were a few cigarette butts lying in a mess.
“You…”
Amber only said one word. Sean didn’t speak. He lowered his head, holding a cigarette between his lips. The swirling smoke wrapped his face, blurring his expression.
Amber walked directly to the bed and looked for her wallet but didn’t find it.
Amber went through the beddings and didn’t find it, either.
She frowned and was about to go downstairs to ask if the servants put away her wallet when they cleaned the bedroom.
She turned around and saw a gray wallet on Sean’s crossed legs.
Amber felt it familiar. She took a fixed look at it and made sure that the wallet was hers.
“Are you looking for this?”
Sean picked up the wallet, looked at Amber’s eyes, and asked.
“Yes.”
Amber answered. Sean looked aggressive, “Are you looking for this or the ID card inside?”
“Sean, you are questioning me?” Amber became angry, “Are you in any position to do that?”
Sean blinked, stood up and handed the wallet to Amber.
He was tall. Although Amber was in high heels, she still had to look up at him.
He was standing not far away. The light in the master bedroom was slightly orange. His face half bathed in the light and half hid in shadow, which was tempting.
Sean’s breath enveloped Amber, making her heart had a flip.
She took half a step back, then walked towards the door silently.
Sean took her arm. She shook his hand off and looked at him warily.
Sean was stabbed by the wary look in her eyes. He paused, staring at Amber’s face with deep eyes, “Are you not going to say goodbye to Cindy before going back to LA?”
“Cindy didn’t see you today. She has been crying for a while!”
Amber was surprised. She looked at Sean without fear, “You had someone investigate me?”
“You didn’t come back in the afternoon. I was a little anxious, so I asked Xu Lin to find out your location. He found you were going back to LA by chance.” Sean squeezed Amber’s purse, “I was planning to see you at the airport, so I came to the master bedroom to change clothes. Then I saw the ID card in your wallet.”
“I guessed you would come back here. You actually did.”
Amber pressed the corner of her lips. She was ready to be threatened by Sean. However, Sean leaned down, took her hand, put the wallet in her hand, held her shoulders, and whispered.
“Let’s go. I’ll take you to the airport.”
Amber was extremely uneasy.
Sean shouldn’t have such a reaction. She thought he would stop her from going back to LA strongly…
Sean went to the children’s room, changed Cindy into a thick dress, and went downstairs.
Amber almost couldn’t recognize it was Cindy. She was in a very retro tarot dress. It was of dark coffee color, delicate and sophisticated.
Seeing Amber, she trotted down the stairs. The dress swayed layer by layer with her movements, making her look like a walking flower.
Her cute hairstyle made her more adorable.
It was probably the servants who dressed her like this.
Amber thought it was ridiculous. When she took Cindy abroad before, she had never trusted Sean. She didn’t think he could take care of Cindy well.
However, she was wrong.
Cindy threw herself into her arms. She picked her up.
Her voice seemed to be stuck in her throat. She thought she was ready to tell Cindy that she was going to Los Angeles, but when she met Cindy’s eyes, she couldn’t let out a word but even felt unwilling to leave her.
“Mom, dad said you are going to leave…”
Cindy’s eyes were red and she sounded choked up. Amber didn’t comfort her. She knew as long as she did, Cindy would surely shed tears.
“Mom?”
Amber replied, “Your uncle is in trouble. He needs my help.”
“Will you come back?”
“Sure,” Amber said.
Cindy was her root. No matter how far she went, she would eventually return to the city where Cindy lived.
“When you miss me, you can call me.”
Cindy nodded with tears in her eyes.
She didn’t cry or let Amber hug, but took Amber’s hand and walked her out.
When they reached the gate, Amber suddenly remembered that the taxi driver was still waiting for her at the gate, “The driver is waiting for me at the gate.”
“Madam, don’t worry. I have told the driver to stop waiting after you entered the door.”
The master bedroom had a good view. Sean saw the taxi driver through the floor-to-ceiling windows, so telling the driver to stop waiting was his idea.
He didn’t say anything about it. Probably because he was ill, he didn’t drive himself but had a driver to drive for them.
