Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 698
When they registered at the City Hall?
How could he remember such a trivial detail?
Emily looked at him intently, and she subconsciously raised her hand to touch his. She held it gently and murmured, "Simon..."
When Simon saw this, he looked over teasingly. "What, you want to make out here?"
"No!"
He didn't even have the grace to look unnatural when he flirted with her...
Emily's face flushed scarlet. Realizing that she was holding his hand, she quickly withdrew her hand as if she had been burned. She cleared her throat and said, "I want to say, you're very tired. Let me drive. I'm more familiar with this town than you, and I can find a hotel immediately!"
"No. We'll return to Ice city." Simon grabbed her hand.
"We go back?" Emily was surprised.
Simon nodded, looking forward attentively. "Well, I have to work on morning."
Upon hearing this, Emily replied with an "oh" and did not say anything more.
Because of the night, the road back to Ice city was quieter. They didn't see many cars along the way home. The black Cayenne was running at a constant speed as if there were only the two of them in the whole world.
Unlike the day, all paths grew dark at night, so they drove slowly.
Emily was playing games on her seat, but gradually she fell asleep with her head against the window. It was not until the Cayenne was finally stopped and the handbrake was pulled up that she was awakened.
"Have we arrived?"
Simon smiled. "Mm."
Emily yawned and looked out of the window. To her surprise, it was a strange place, not her own house. She suddenly asked in surprise, "Where are we? Aren't we going home?"
It didn't look like a hotel, but a modern apartment near the river. She had been here for an interview before. Although it was not comparable to some wealthy suburbs, apartments in this area cost a fortune, which totally beyond the reach of ordinary people.
Simon unfastened her seat belt and said,
"Come with me!"
Emily rubbed her eyes sleepily and followed him out of the car.
A man in a suit stood at the door of the building. When they approached, he greeted respectfully, "Young Master Chin!"
Then, he sent them all the way to the elevator and said evenly, "As you said, the apartment has been fully redecorated and you can move in now. These are the keys you requested!" "Mn." Simon took the keys.
After the man completed his mission, he nodded mechanically and left. The doors of the elevator slowly closed in front of them.
Emily was still confused. Looking at the number of the elevator climbing, she didn't understand why Simon didn't go home to sleep at night but take her here. "Where are we?"
"Our new marital home." Simon's thin lips curled up.
"Oh." Emily nodded and then widened her eyes in surprise. "What did you say?"
At this time, the elevator door had already opened with a "ding" sound. Simon strode out with the two keys in his hand. Emily stood rooted to the spot for a long time. When the elevator door was about to close again, she trotted behind him.
When they opened the door and turned on the lights, the layout inside came into view.
The two-bedroom apartment was almost the same as the one she was living in now, but a little bigger with two waiting rooms, one kitchen, and one bathroom. It was fully furnished and redecorated, as the man downstairs had said, for the curtains and bedsheets were brand new.
Emily came in. When she looked down, she saw two white suitcases in front of the bedroom door. One of them was bought when she attended her first summer camp in college. There were many hello-kitty stickers and scratches on it.
If she remembered correctly, she had always put it in the bedroom cabinet and rarely took it out.
"Those suitcases?" She pointed at them in surprise.
Simon followed her, with an arm resting on the doorpost, stood lazily. "When we went to the town in the evening, I hired the moving company to pack up and bring all your luggage here! Miss Lim left Ice city and broke up with Charlie. Don't you feel uncomfortable living there? I have returned the house to Charlie. You live here."
Emily looked around and found that the lights gave the place a wonderfully homely character.
When she entered the elevator, she guessed that it should be his house. Since he had a Centurion Card, he could afford to such a house in Ice city, but...
Emily swallowed hard and asked as if she had just misheard him, "Did you just say this is... our new marital home?"
"We got married, so we need a new home, don't we?" Simon raised the corner of his mouth.
Before they got married, most of the time, he stayed in the dormitory assigned by the hospital or a hotel. He would not return to the mansion of the Chin family because they felt uncomfortable there. In Ice city, he bought many houses for investment. However, he didn't rent out any of them or live in them for fear of disturbing loneliness.
Among many houses he bought, from villas to lofts, he chose this smallest apartment.
The well designed apartment was neither too big nor too small. It was spacious for them to live in, while they wouldn't feel the rooms were empty. No matter which room she was in, he would easily find her. Besides, the decor was warm and blessedly familiar.
Emily quietly clenched her fists.
For the whole night, too many unexpected things happened, which made her feel a little overwhelmed.
"How about this birthday gift?" Simon teased, flanked by the warm yellow lights. "You bought me a shirt, and I give you a house. Great call."
Emily pulled a wry face when she heard his last words.
However, she saw that he was wearing the cheap shirt she bought inside a casual outfit with a stand-up collar. From the day she sent it to him, he always wore it except when he put it in the laundry. In fact, when she bought it at that time, she had a little bit of anger in her heart.
After being bullied by Quinn who was rich and powerful, she walked out of the mall and bought a cheap product without thinking, but she didn't expect that he liked it and happily accepted it. She couldn't help but feel a little guilty in her heart.
When she opened her mouth and thought about what to say, he suddenly strode forward and pressed her against the open door with his hands on her hips. His face was extremely close to her as he whispered, "Mrs. Chin, it's your home now."
"Home?" Emily was stunned.
Simon smiled and repeated in a low voice, "Yes, it's our home."
