"Okay!" Addy put the cake at her feet.

They had been apart for four years. There were indeed many things that they needed to talk to each other properly.

When he heard Addy bring up the marriage agreement again, he was still surprised, wondering how she knew it. After all, other than Emily, himself, and the lawyer who had drafted the agreement, no one else knew about it.

We studied together in high school, went to the library to review our lessons, and went abroad to study together. We almost walked through every street of Newley City. Addy's voice was choked with sobs. Simon was moved. He couldn't help but think of those high-spirited years of youth and the vows they made when they were young.

He said with his voice deep and calm, "Addy, what we had in the past was beautiful. But we cannot reverse time! When you chose to stay in Newley City, everything between us was destined to be over. We did not promise to wait for each other. And I have already moved on!"

Addy looked desperate, shook her head violently, and shouted stubbornly, "No, you are lying!"

"You are saying these things deliberately because you were still angry with me and refused to forgive me! If you don't love me in your heart, and if your marriage agreement was not because of me, then why do you still have our picture with you now?"

Simon was stunned, "Picture? What picture?"

"The picture in your wallet!" Addy said with tears in her eyes, "When you returned from Newley City four years ago, I put our photo in the interlayer of your wallet. I also wrote a word on the back. You have been carrying it with you for four years. Can't it explain that you still love me?"

Simon looked shocked.

He took out his wallet from his trouser pocket. He had used it for many years. When he was studying abroad, Adam bought it for him. He had never bought a new one because he was used to it.
