Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 742
Addy looked at him with her eyes filled with tears as if she had never known him. Looking at his attractive almond- shaped eyes, she could never imagine that one day he would look at her so coldly. As the ashes of the picture disappeared in the air, Addy's heart sunk.
When Addy realized that it was all her wishful thinking, she cried out. What she had with Simon was all gone. Recalling every moment and every vow, she felt deep despair.
When Simon said that he wanted to go home, there was a hint of urgency in his eyes. Without a doubt, she could see that he wanted to go back to see Emily.
Addy was on the edge of a breakdown. They had known each other since they were 15 and spent four years abroad together. She had never stopped thinking about him. Her love for Simon helped her to overcome the difficulties she had in Newley City. Now, she lost all her hope... Desperately, she threw herself into his arms, trying to change his mind.
Ignoring the people coming and going on the street, she threw away her self-esteem and put her arms around his neck.
Longing for Simon's love, Addy held him tightly. The smell of tobacco and the masculine scent on him made her miss him day and night. She wanted to try her best to regain the happiness they had in the past. Blurred by the tears, she tried to kiss him...
Simon's body turned rigid all of a sudden.
Addy also felt it. Seeing that Simon did not push her away, she was overwhelmed by the ecstasy. She couldn't help raise her head, wanting to get close to him. They were so close that their breaths seemed to be mixed.
However, just as she was about to reach Simon's mouth, he suddenly tilted his head to avoid it.
After that, Addy felt her excitement and warmth disappeared, followed by embarrassment and loss.
Addy was stunned. Trembling, she called, "Simon, Simon?"
Simon leaned over with his eyes staring at her calmly. There was no emotional change on his face at all. He just said in a low and gentle voice, "Addy, don't make me despise you!"
"Simon..." Addy trembled.
When she realized what she had done, she felt her face burn as if she had been slapped in the face. Then she let go of his neck powerlessly.
Addy finally realized that their relationship was over!
She looked at him with her eyes wide open for a long time. Then she lowered her head and picked up the cake box beside her feet. Chocked, she got off the car with her face filled with tears and her red lips trembling.
When the door closed, she turned back and saw that Simon had returned to the driver's seat. He was so hurried with a cold and heartless face.
Soon, after Simon sat back in the car, he started the engine. The black Cayenne ran fast in the night, leaving only a trace of dust.
After he had just driven for half a kilometer, he stopped at the crossroad for the traffic light turned red.
When Simon took out the dead cell phone from the storage compartment and was about to continue to find the charge, he suddenly heard a loud noise and whistles.
He inadvertently glanced at the rearview mirror and saw a lot of people gathering in the center of the street in front of the hotel.
The voices and the cars were in a mess, he could tell that there was a car accident.
"Oh my, someone was hit on the road!"
Many drivers in the cars waiting for the red light at the crossroad also looked back curiously. Simon frowned. When he was about to turn his head away, he felt shocked to find a transparent cake box with blood was knocked over the ground.
Simon's heart sank.
The moon hung high in the night sky, as curl as a hook. It was destined to be an uneasy night.
But for them, it was only a small event in their long life. Their life would go on just like the sun would rise every day.
Emily raised her face between her hands and looked out of the window absent-mindedly. The morning light poured in through the white gauze curtain and made every corner of the living room bright. Her eyes turned dryly twice. It was already dawn.
She raised her hand and rubbed her numb face. She sat there all night like that and got numb all over.
The house was still quiet, just like last night when she came back. It was so quiet that she could hear her breathing slowly and heartbeat.
Suddenly, there was a movement from the porch along with the sound of the key turning in the lock cylinder.
Emily felt tensed all over as if she was facing a formidable enemy.
The door was opened. Simon walked in and changed his shoes. After Emily saw him, she clenched her hands tighter and tighter on her knees.
Simon put his right hand on his cervical vertebra. There was noticeable tiredness on his handsome face and his eyes.
He took the earliest flight in the early morning yesterday and did a few operations in a roll. He could not sleep last night and had no time to rest today...
Simon glanced at her and stopped, "Mrs. Chin, why are you sitting there in a trance?"
Emily held her breath for a second. She did not want to be soft-hearted because of what Simon called her. After sitting on the sofa for the whole night, she felt her joints numb and her throat dry and sore. She swallowed her saliva and finally said, "I'm waiting for you..."
Simon put down his hand. He had seen her sitting on the sofa with her down since he entered the house. She only took a glance at him. Because she was sitting there with her back to the light, he could not see her eyes and feel her emotions.
Simon felt confused and worried. After a pause, he said calmly, "Something happened when I left the hospital last night. Addy..."
Suddenly, Emily interrupted him and said, "Simon, you don't have to bother to tell me these things!"
She had already known it all.
Simon frowned but then raised the end of her eyebrows. He walked toward her, put his arm on the arm of the sofa next to her, and said. "Didn't I tell you not to be jealous?"
As Simon was leaning very close to Emily, every time he spoke, the breath of his nose would blow on her face, which made her felt warm and familiar. For several times, she almost could not hold herself. She clenched her teeth to keep calm.
"Simon, I wanted to ask you about something, but it seems that it's not necessary now!" Emily reached out her hand to the table, stroke the document for two seconds, and then handed it directly to him, "This is for you."
"What is it?" Simon frowned.
After Simon took it, Emily took a deep breath
and said, "I have signed it!"
