Chapter 708 Stop Talking Nonsense

"Do we really need to drink wine?" Rocky asked as a confused look painted his face.

"Why are you so reluctant? Are you worried that I poisoned the wine?" Isis asked with a faint smile on her beautiful face. With the wine in her hands, she poured on to two cups and then gracefully sat down.

Rocky shrugged with an awkward smile. Afterward, he also sat down.

"Hey, do you remember our wedding night? We drank up the whole pot of wine." Isis looked sincerely at Rocky. With her cup in her hand, she raised it and proposed a toast.

"Yes, I do. A drunk woman held my hand so tightly. Ah, it was like torture for me," Rocky joked with a grin.

"You took advantage of me that time. You should drink a cup of wine as punishment!" Isis said with a petty yet charming voice.

When he heard such a remark from Isis’ petite lips, Rocky was immediately aroused. However, when he met her charming eyes, he had no choice but to raise his cup and gulp down the wine.

After he drank the whole cup of wine, Rocky felt something was wrong with him. However, he didn't take it seriously. Isis just made up an excuse and proposed a toast to him. Suddenly, Rocky's eyes became blurry as he started to lose consciousness.

"I feel a little..." As his mind got a little hazy, Rocky shook his head. His eyelids became rather heavy, as if he was very tired.

A cold look flashed through Isis’ eyes when she noticed Rocky's eyes were dimming. As Rocky was about to lose his consciousness, Isis whispered to herself, "Rocky, don't blame me."

Then, Rocky lost his balance. With a thud, he fell over the table.

Isis then caressed him and held him to bed.

After a long time, Rocky finally woke up. A wet sensation coursed through his body as he found himself in the bathtub. Haziness still filled his mind. All he remembered was that he was drinking with Isis before. However, he could not remember anything after that, as if he had lost his memories.

Just then, the door was pushed open. A figure suddenly walked in. It was Sue with a stack of clothes in her hands.

"Excuse me, Mr. Bai. Are you awake?" Sue said shyly as she noticed Rocky had opened his eyes. "Why am I in the bathtub?" Confusion painted Rocky's face.

"Don’t you remember what happened? You drank some wine last night with Miss Isis. However, you got so drunk and said that you wanted to take a bath. So Miss Isis asked people to bring a bathtub and hot water here. Afterward she asked them to throw you into that bathtub,” Sue replied in detail. Afterward, she approached the bed and put Rocky's clothes on the mattress.

"Is that so?" Nonetheless, Rocky still doubted the story. He didn't think he was drunk, but he couldn't remember what happened.

"Here are your clothes. They're already clean. Please put them on." After she gave Rocky his clothes, Sue immediately walked out of the room.

The moment Sue left, Rocky immediately went out of the bathtub and quickly put on his clothes. Then, he left for Isis Pavilion as he wanted to ask Isis about what had happened before. However, after he went to the Isis Pavilion, he heard that Isis had already gone out.

Although Rocky felt something was wrong, he had to leave for the main camp immediately. The front line of the Crimson Dragon Army was in an emergency and he was badly needed there. However, the moment Rocky had left, Sue also went up to the second floor. There, she noticed Isis who just walked out of the room.

"Has he finally left?" Isis asked softly.

"Yes." Sue nodded in agreement. A confused look painted her face as she asked, "Why didn't you meet with him before he left?"

"I don't want to distract him. Prepare something for me immediately. I'll go back to the Imperial City. When he comes back, give him a message for me. Tell him that if he changes his mind, I'll be waiting for him in the Imperial City," Isis said with a dejected tone.

"Yes, I understand." Sue nodded and started her preparations.

After he left the base camp, Rocky immediately went to the main camp to talk to Alston at the front. At that time, Allen and some other commanders were also in the tent.

"Commander in Chief!" Everyone greeted Rocky politely as soon as they noticed him.

Rocky nodded in response.

"You may all take your leave.” When he noticed Rocky walked in, Alston immediately dismissed the warriors in front of him.

Everyone in the tent left except for Rocky and Alston.

"It seems that you're in a bad mood. Well, you should be. You were just heavily crushed by the Timber Deity Empire.” Rocky looked at Alston's dark face as he gave a rather sarcastic remark.

"I didn't expect you to come so soon. With how things are right now, I just assumed you do not have the courage to approach me.” Alston thought that Rocky would be reluctant to come. After all, Rocky had known his plan and knew that he sent people to kill him in Grande City. Thus, Alston concluded Rocky would have already turned tail.

Obviously, Alston had underestimated Rocky's skill and character.

"I'm here for the Crimson Dragon Army. I certainly did not come for you. I really can't bear to see you being defeated so badly by the Timber Deity Empire. No matter what, I am a member of the Crimson Dragon Army. I will never turn a blind eye on our defeat,” Rocky said straightforwardly. With such a dismissive tone, he pointed out the truth.

"Is that so?" A hint of anger flashed in Alston's eyes. With a cold voice, he continued, "Since you're so confident, I'll let you command the Crimson Dragon Army."

Rocky was surprised to hear Alston's remark. Normally, Alston would not give him any chance to command the Crimson Dragon Army again. If Rocky took over the Crimson Dragon Army, the army would definitely have a higher chance of winning. However, if the army defeated the Timber Deity Empire under his command, all the credit would fall to Rocky. As such, he didn't think Alston would let him make any contribution.

"I admit that Alyssa is stronger than I imagined. I've continuously humbled myself after fighting with her. You are the only one who can fight her. Why would I insist on commanding the army if you can have a better chance of winning the battle against her?" Alston said as if he was very generous. However, it felt like he had a scheme behind such words.

"It's rather rare for you to say something like that." Rocky coldly snorted. However, he still didn't believe that Alston would be so friendly and reasonable. Thus, Rocky guessed that Alston had a plan in mind

"Anyway, you are my brother. I hope that you can make more contributions. This will be a great opportunity to make amends for your previous faults. Perhaps you will even obtain a chance to return to the Imperial City." Alston immediately extended his arms as a sign of his brotherhood. "Save it! Deep inside, you wish I would never come back to the Imperial City. But it's not going to happen.” Rocky looked straight into Alston's cold eyes. No matter what tricks Alston played, nothing could prevent him from returning to the Imperial City. As sure as the sun would rise, Rocky vowed to take back everything that belonged to him.

"If you can defeat the Timber Deity Empire, I will immediately take you back to the Imperial City. I'll even plea with father to forgive you and absolve you of your sins,” Alston said in an unusually kind and pleasant manner. However, his eyes blinked constantly as if he was trying hard to hide something.

"Hmm... I think that's a good offer." Rocky pretended to be satisfied with their agreement. In fact, he was sure that Alston had some evil schemes planned. However, he couldn't just watch the Crimson Dragon Army be destroyed by Alston. Therefore, Rocky not only had to lead the Crimson Dragon Army to defeat the Timber Deity Empire, but also had to be careful of Alston's plot.
