The following day, Alston declared that Rocky would continue to lead the entire Crimson Dragon Army. This decision was greatly received by the soldiers who obviously preferred Rocky over Alston. As expected, Rocky surpassed everyone's expectations. He dispatched military forces to counterattack the Timber Deity Empire and the Roaring Flame Empire. Additionally, he was able to transform and transport more than a dozen spirit-manipulated beasts to the logistics camp quickly and effectively.

Finally, the Crimson Dragon Army was able to stabilize their situation. They successfully stopped the Timber Deity Empire and the Roaring Flaming Empire armies from crossing their defensive line in the Deity Unicorn Valley. Rocky then ordered a force of twenty thousand soldiers to deploy three lines of defense in the Deity Unicorn Valley. By taking advantage of the terrain, he was able to slow down the joint army and make it difficult for them to advance even a single step further.

Rocky was surprised that Alston had never once appeared or tried to meddle in his affairs ever since he gained command of the Crimson Dragon Army again. Nevertheless, he remained cautious of Alston and made sure to keep a safe distance from him at all times.

As soon as everything was under control, Rocky came up with another bold plan which he discussed in the Commander in Chief's tent with Allen and other commanders. They had to make sure the plan was practical and as fail-proof as possible.

"Although I appreciate your boldness with this plan, Commander in Chief, I have to point out that it's also quite risky. We will be sending our forces into an abyss alone. One wrong move could mean the end of them all."

"That's too risky. Now we have everything under control as long as we don't rush in. The Timber Deity Empire and the Roaring Flame Empire won't be able to harm us..."

"Everything is possible as long as Commander in Chief is here. There is no need to take such a risk." Most of the commanders expressed their doubts about the plan's feasibility.

"I am well aware that everyone is worried. But if we wish to destroy the Timber Deity Empire and the Roaring Flame Empire, this plan is the only way. As soon as we destroy their army, the Timber Deity Empire will have no other choice but to retreat due to the lack of forces,” Rocky explained.

Upon hearing this, everyone in the meeting looked at each other. They never expected Rocky to execute such a dangerous plan himself.

"Commander in Chief, this isn't right. Without you, we would..." one of the commanders added before his words trailed off. The entire Crimson Dragon Army was at Rocky's helm. Without his guidance, they would be totally lost.

The other commanders soon nodded their heads in agreement.

"I understand. All I ask is that you all follow my orders. Besides, I'm certain that by the time we come face to face with our enemies at the front line that Alyssa will fail to show up,” Rocky added expectantly.

"What makes you so sure about this, Commander in Chief?" one of the commanders inquired, the doubt evident in his voice.

"I'm the one she is more interested in than our Crimson Dragon Army," Rocky boasted along with that charmingly cocky grin of his.

The entire crowd couldn't help but smile and laughed in return.

"So that settles it. All the commanders remain here, except for Commander Wang," Rocky declared. "I'll be assigning four of our strongest Heavenly Stage masters to protect you, Commander in Chief," Allen immediately mentioned. He was aware that the Elite Regiment's top priority was to protect the Commander in Chief at all costs.

Rocky nodded without uttering another word. Even if he refused, Allen would still keep him company.

"Well... I'm coming along, too." Marin waved her hand to remind him.

Locking eyes with Marin, Rocky ordered the others to leave the room before continuing to speak with her.

"You're not coming along, Marin. This mission is too dangerous. If anything happens to you, what will I tell Isis?" Rocky pointed out with his arms folded across his chest.

"That's up to me to decide. You put yourself in grave danger way too often. Since Isis isn't here, I shall keep a close eye on you for her sake in case you decide to fool around with other women," Marin retorted.

"Is that what you think of me? Just some fool who flirts and picks up women left and right?" Rocky shot her a deadly glare.

"What does it matter to you? And yes, I'm still going. If you don't allow me, well...you wouldn't want Isis to know that you flirted with me in the past, would you?" Marin laid out the challenge before him.

Rocky could only roll his eyes. He knew that Marin wouldn't hesitate to ruin him in front of Isis. He didn't want to further complicate things.

"Alright. But promise me that you'll follow all my orders. I won't tolerate any disobedience from you." He emphasized the last sentence.

The next day, he gathered 20, 000 soldiers and split them into two groups with Commander Wang in charge of one of them. They encircled the united army from the sides of the Deity Unicorn Valley. From there, they immediately attacked the defensive line of the Timber Deity Empire.

Meanwhile, Alston, who was missing for a few days, appeared at the main camp along with some trusted subordinates once Rocky left. He soon found out about Rocky's plans through the other commanders.

"It appears our time has come." Alston flashed his scheming smile as he left with his subordinates. Additionally, the Timber Deity Empire also managed to obtain information that Rocky had advanced toward their defensive line.

"An unexpected attack on the Timber Deity Empire's defensive line. It must be Rocky who thought of such a clever plan," Alyssa said as the details became clearer to her.

"You have managed to take advantage of the Holy Sea Empire to distract the Crimson Dragon Army. However, word has spread that the Holy Sea Empire has suffered a great loss at Rocky's hands," Woods added with a smirk.

"I did initially plan to cause a bit of trouble to the Crimson Dragon Army. However, I didn't expect Rocky to go to Mont City. Thanks to him, I have time to recruit 30, 000 more reinforcements.” Alyssa felt that luck was on their side once the Timber Deity Empire managed to successfully get out of the deadlock.

However, Alyssa was unaware that all of this was caused by the grudge between Rocky and Alston. In fact, Alston had managed to pull off a huge favor for the Timber Deity Empire this time around.
