"Chief is here!" A scream from the outside interrupted them.

All of them nearly jumped out of their seats and peered out.

Before their eyes was a charming figure who elegantly stepped into the hall. Every move showed the obvious sign of someone who came from a big clan.

Even Mary couldn't drag her eyes away from the lithe figure clad in elegant white clothes, it looked like it was shining on her smooth skin and made her look even more charming. There wasn't any make-up on her face yet she caught their eyes. Although some of them would like to approach her, with her aura in the Supernal Stage enveloping her, no one dared to come near.

"Chief Lucilla, it is an honor to meet you..." Raef immediately politely saluted with his hands clasped in front of him.

Both Travis and Mary bowed to her.

Because this figure was none other than the chief of the Cao Clan, Lucilla Cao.

"There's no need to be so formal, Chief Raef!" As Lucilla spoke, she glided across the hall and settled down on the Heavenly Phoenix Chair and gestured to the three who remained frozen in their salute. Almost imperceptible tremors of fear ran through their bodies as they sat down.

"So he's coming?" Lucilla glanced at Mary for a moment before looking back at Raef.

"Of course!" Beads of sweat began to form on Raef's forehead as he quickly nodded.

"That's good." Lucilla approved with a graceful nod of her head.

Before anyone else could speak, a delicate figure rushed into the hall.

"Where's that bastard?! Where did he hide?" As soon as she was in the hall, she glared around every nook and cranny.

"Queenie, what are you doing?" Lucilla's voice turned shrill as she rebuked Queenie.

The furious beautiful figure was none other than Queenie.

"Obviously I'm looking for that bully. What's his name?" Queenie's eyes drilled into Raef.

"Miss Queenie, are you looking for Mr. Rookie?" Raef quickly asked before he sweated too much under her fierce glare.

"Mr. Rookie? He's a despicable, obscene, and shameless excuse of a man. He's just like a toad trying to swallow a swan!" Queenie gritted out as she sternly crossed her arms.

"Queenie, you're being rude. From today onward, don't go out. Stay in your room and reflect on yourself." A solemn expression appeared on Lucilla's beautiful face.

When Queenie noticed that her sister was furious, her head drooped and she could only pout as if she suffered an injustice even though it was her who was causing trouble.

"Haha..." Laughter echoed in the hall as an old man ambled in.

"Master! Lucilla said she'd lock me at home. Please help me!" When Queenie saw the old figure, she immediately whined cutely.

"Master Lucas, stop spoiling her. She's getting even cheekier!” Lucilla gave Queenie a dismal stare. A headache was making itself known to her the longer she looked at her younger sister.

"Chief Lucilla, don't worry. I'll talk to her later.” Lucas laughed and stroked his beard.

Once she heard Lucas’ words, Lucilla could only sigh and shake her head. She knew that Lucas loved them like his own granddaughters. How could he blame Queenie! Her sister's personality was most likely because she'd been spoiled rotten by Lucas. Lucas’ position within the Cao Clan wasn't just superior to others, but sometimes even higher than the chief. If not for Lucas’ heartfelt support for Lucilla in all these years, she wouldn't be able to stay as the chief for long.

About ten years ago, Lucilla was just ten years old. Because of her high spirit manipulator talent, she was known far and wide in the Timber Deity Empire. Lucilla's father, Jacob Cao, was the former chief of the Cao Clan and was a supreme master of the Divine Stage, so he was quite amazing.
