REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON
Chapter 45: The Search for Lyra

KYLE'S POV

"What do you mean that is where Lyra comes in? explain" I asked.

"The queen mother sent her," My father said.

"Okay?" I said urging him to continue.

"That's all I know." He said as he raised his hand to go inside suddenly, I felt a sharp pain on my chest.

I held my chest as I dropped to my knees as I found it hard to breathe.

What is going on? I thought to myself them one name came to mind "Lyra."

I took a deep breath and tried to trace her and I felt very strong magic.

Where could she be? This wasn't Aria's magic. It was different. It felt like she wasn't her our world anymore. I thought to myself.

I was very worried and it didn't help that he called me that night telling me that he felt Lyra once again but he suspects that something took her already and she will soon be dead. "Where could you be Lyra?" I said out loud to the air.

I stood up and decided I needed to go for a run to clear my head. It scared me that I wasn't with Lyra, but what made it worse is that she wasn't with Aria either.

....

"You felt that too right? Lyra is in trouble. I am feeling very uneasy. Merida you need to talk to that old woman," Aria said.

"Don't you think I am trying. I have been trying to summon her since I felt Lyra but she has been evading my summons," Merida said.

"I know what will make her come," Aria said as she ran back into her room Merida right behind her.

"Where did you get the grimoire of blood!" Merida said in shock.

"It came to me in the witches havern when I summoned it to help Lyra when she was kidnapped by the poaters. I hope it is wiling to help again," Aria said to Merida. "Let's try together," Merida said as they stood around the grimoire.

"I don't think it's working," Merida whispered.

"Give it time," Aria said and as soon as she finished talking there was a strange wind sound and the old woman appeared.

"Why did you summon me?" the old woman asked as she looked at them angrily.

"Lyra, where is she?" Aria asked worriedly.

"She is off to find her book," The old woman said.

"Where did you send her?" Aria asked.

"I didn't choose to send her anywhere. Her past chose her and that is where she went," The old woman said to Aria.

"She went to moonlit pack?" Aria asked to be sure and the woman nodded.

"Do you know the colossal god could easily get hold of her?" Merida said.

"That's if he hasn't already, but she is the daughter of the queen mother. She is highly protected," The old woman shrugged. "That is not enough, I am her guardian in am supposed to be with her," Aria said feeling frustrated by the turn of events. "She will be fine. She is strong. All the currents we are feeling means she is alive and fighting," The old woman said. "What do you mean?" Aria asked.

"She could be killed by her past. If we stop feeling any currents of magic from her then she is dead," the old woman said.

The magic current got so high to the point of pain. "Ahhh!" The all screamed as every part of their body was filled with pain. Then the currents stopped coming.

"No!" Aria screamed as she fell to the ground.

LYRA'S POV

None of the people here were my people. They weren't the people of moonlit pack and what threw me off was the energy they emitted.

When the woman with my mother's face came up to me, her aura was cold, she knew I had found out.

"Alright. You can see through all of us and it's annoying. Most people cannot. We are the best at what we do, we are shape shifters, but I like you so I will help me because they others want you dead. They feel disrespected.

I know you came here to find your book and we are only here to test you. You already passed the test but it looks like the magical beings can see your aura and they want it for themselves. I have your book. I will give it to you but you need to listen to me.

You will do as I say to escape from this place, okay?" she said. "Yes," I nodded.

"Good, now you need to pretend like you cannot see through everything that is happening. You need to pretend to be happy. Act like you like this place," she said to me.

It's been three weeks already and I want to go already. I act like I can't see them and they are normal but they are not. I usually wonder how they could fool anyone. At least they are not making my stay hard for me and they have decided to help me.

Aiden helps with my training and I have gotten way stronger and they always speak how they will be there when I save the world. I don't understand them but I just nod. "Dear child," the woman that looks like my mother came to me.

"It is time for you to go back," she smiled at me.

"Really?" I asked excitedly.

"Yes, you are done with you training here and everyone has agreed to let you go," she reached out and hugged me and for the first time since I came here, her touch felt warm.

I looked into her glassy eyes and I saw tears. I hugged her back and she directed me into a room filled with books then she gave me a book. The cover was dark and its pages felt like skin. "Lacienda will continue your lesson now,"

"Lacienda?" I asked.

"Yes, that is the name of your book. She will teach you everything you could not learn here and everything about you.

Goodbye for now. We will meet again," She smiled at me and opened at portal through the mirror for me.
