Chapter 55: Embracing The Challenge

"I'm so exhausted training with Alexis has been very hard lately. It requires a lot of focus. I have never focused on something so much in my life. I really suck at magic at this point." I whined. "Come on, it's not that bad you are just exaggerating," Aria laughed.

"It is bad," I said as I lay on the floor.

"Okay, get up now. You need to practice what you were taught in your last lesson." Merida said encouraging me to stand up but I didn't want to.

"I can't believe how good you are now. I believe you are even better than me," Alexis smiled at me.

"Thank you. None of this would have happened if I didn't have a good teacher like you," I hugged her.

"I am proud of you," Alexis smiled.

"Lyra! I cannot believe it's finally time for you to have your big fight." Aria hugged me.

"Yes, I am so proud of who you have become. I am rooting for you. Go ahead and fulfil your destiny girl," Merida squealed hugging me too.

I walked into the library and took a deep breath, "It's finally time I told myself."

"Lyra, my beloved. I will watch and be with you, always believe in yourself and know you can do it," the spirit said to me and looked at me with so much warmth in her eyes it reminded me of my mother.

"I guess it's time to see Kyle again," I smiled at Aria who looked like she was about to say something but decided against it.

I walked to the door and waited as Aria and Merida took down the protection spell and the queen mother appeared to me.

"Dear child, go forth and fulfil your life's mission. Don't forget that this is a war of the good and evil, light against darkness. I need you to know that this is not going to be easy and ending this will not be the last war. It will be the first but there will be many more to come. You have to prepare your heart for a lot of things. Being a hero comes with a lot of responsibility and loses. I will always be by your side giving you counsel and helping you out," She squeezed my hand and she disappeared.

KYLE'S POV

I held my stomach as I rolled in pain "What is going on?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"It's that damned girl. I am very sure of it I can fill her energy and I know she is not in this world. But her energy is merging worlds, she is somewhere she is not supposed to be and she is going through some kind of grievance," Trago said. My heard raced as I heard what he said. "Lyra is not feeling well?"

"I don't know, I just know that I can feel her energy and it must be because she saw something tragic," Trago groaned in pain.

Soon the pain stopped as soon as it came.

"What was that. is she fine now?" I asked Trago.

"She probably is. I will consult the colossal god," he said as he walked away.

"Trago! I will not let this continue; I will not let you continue to kill my people. I will not allow it and your demons have been killing other species. You are putting my pack and my people at risk." Ryker said. "Come on now, we both know that you control everyone and even the underworld species. How are we putting your people at risk?" Trago asked.

"You know what you are doing and I will not allow you to continue" Ryker warned Trago before he left.

"Are you trying to threaten me? Don't you know how you are oppressing the other species? So, my demons cannot kill other species but your rouges can do it right?" Trago asked but Ryker ignored him.

"Have you found her?" he asked me for the third time this week since she released that huge amount of energy.

"No, we don't have her routes yet but we are close. I am beginning to sense her again. Which means that sooner or later we will find her," I explained to him.

"You are too slow," he said nonchalantly and that made me tick.

"I wanted to tell him that he is not all that and all these people fear him that is why they are with him but instead I turned around and left.

If I find Lyra, will I truly take her to him? Yes, I wanted to be recognized by him but did it really mean I would risk everything we've built together? I questioned myself as I continued to walk around the pack.

I think I should try to contact her but why do I have the feeling that they are watching me and they will try to follow me and capture her.

But then this is Lyra we are talking about, she is impossibly strong I found out when I was training her, she was untrained yet she was as strong as me, how strong will she be now that she is undergoing training? I continued to think. We will find out.

I started to spar with myself enjoying my alone moment and trying to learn new techniques. I have been training like this for the longest time.

I decided to try to locate her as her hair was still inside my wrist as close my eyes and increased my focus.

"Fuck it! I have been trying for months why did I think it will work now? What was I thinking?" I laughed at myself as I continued my training all over again this time in anger.

Suddenly I got ambushed by Trago's demons. They always attacked in tens but today I was not in the mood and they came at the right time to experience my fury.

I fought hard and ended up killing almost all of them, sparing one to send my message to Trago. He can mess with Ryker but not me.

I cleaned my body and was about to go back to the pack when I felt her presence. She wants to be seen now.
