Chapter 59: Torn Emotions

"Do you feel it now?" he asked but I was too stunned to speak.

I could still feel his lips on my, "I.. I"

"Lyra the list you..."

"Yes Aria," I said as I quickly escaped Kyle's grasp.

"Why does your skin look so red? Are you fine?" Aria asked genuinely concerned.

"Yes, I am. I feel a little bit hot that's all," I said before Kyle walked away and Aria saw him. I rubbed my temples internally.

"Hi Kyle," Aria said in a chirpy voice.

"Now I know why you are all red," Aria teased and I threw her a glare as I turned around to see if Kyle was still around to hear her comment.

"Come on, you are saying rubbish now," I said as I looked away from her.

"Mhhm," she nodded still laughing.

"Aria be serious, why did you come here anyway?" I asked her as I sat down.

"I came here to inform you on the list you asked about but I found you looking flustered. You and Kyle were up to something, weren't you," Aria squinted her eyes and I blushed. "Really? You were doing something with Kyle?" She appeared shocked.

"Oh my, I literally just guessed. Anyways give me the details," Aria said winking at me.

"Shut up! There are no details. You have told me why you are here. you can go away now stop trying to get on my nerves," I said feigning anger.

"Yeah, well I wanted to inform you that a new pack of werewolves joined us yesterday," Aria said.

"Really? What is their total number?" I asked.

"They are over fifty. I was told that their pack had over five hundred members but now must of them are dead because Ryker attacked their pack and the rest are lone wolves," Aria told me and my heart broke for them because that was the exact same thing, Ryker did to me.

"Alright, I will go see them now," I said as I stood up and let Aria let the way.

I met with the Alpha's son, who is the current alpha since his father died in the war against Ryker. He has striking blue eyes that as so beautiful and a dirty blonde hair.

"Hi, I'm Luke," he said to me.

"Hi, I'm Lyra," I smiled at him introducing myself.

"Yeah, I know you," he smiled.

"Really?" How?" I asked.

"Everyone is talking about you. That is how I and my pack members came here." he told me. "Woah," I said.

KYLE'S POV

"Who is that she is sparring with?" I asked Aria.

"Oh, that is Luke. He is the alpha of the new pack of wolves that just arrived." Aria said to me.

"Oh, Okay," I said to Aria.

I walked towards the training ground to Lyra so she could switch with the guy that she was sparring with and spar with me because I am her sparring partner. "You can spar with Elizabeth," she said not even looking at me.

"I should spar with Elizabeth? Don't we always spar together?" I asked her surprised.

"I am already sparring with Luke," Lyra said as she continued to spar with him. I don't know why but I suddenly felt furious.

"I am going, I don't feel like sparring anymore," I said to Aria as I walked away.

Who is that guy anyway and did I do anything to make her upset? Why isn't she talking to me and why is she training with Luke? I questioned myself.

I stayed inside all day sulking and hoping Lyra will come in to check on me but she didn't. that night I didn't sleep, I rolled on the bed feeling all kinds of emotions. "What is happening? Why is she occupying my thoughts?" I asked myself at dawn after a night of no sleeping.

"Good morning, Kyle, you don't look too good. What's up?" Aria asked.

"Nothing is up, I am not just feeling okay. I couldn't sleep much last night," I said to her as I walked towards the training grounds.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"I am going to train," I replied as I continued to stalk towards the training grounds.

"But you haven't had breakfast yet," she said to me.

"I know but I can train before or after breakfast, I need to train to clear my head," I said as I walked away. "Hey, good morning," the guy from yesterday said to me as I met him in the training ground.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I watched him suspiciously.

“Nothing, I am just getting prepped to work out with Lyra," He smiled at me.

"Do you understand that Lyra is my sparring partner?" I asked him sounding rudely but I did not care.

There is no way I will let a total stranger come in and spar with my girl.

"Wow, wait my girl? Where did that come from?" I questioned myself as I shook my head.

I went to the other side of the training ground and started working out. I started to tire out when people started to come into the training ground, but that guy was still here and there is no way I am letting him train with Lyra. That will not happen, I swore to myself as I continued to do low strength exercises so I don't get so tired to the point where I cannot spar with Lyra.

"Hey Lyra,” I heard him say as I looked back to see him jogging to her.

I quickly put down my equipment and walked towards Lyra.

"Hey sparring partner," I smiled at her and she looked at me strangely.

"So, what are we doing today?" I asked her.

"Um, since you are already properly trained and even helped me on my strength training, I thought you are good to go and decided to train with Luke instead," she said looking at me.

"You are training with him?" asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, is there any problem? She asked.

"No, it is fine." I said rudely as I walked away.
