Chapter 94: The Broken Alpha's Stand

That morning Zeus got up early and prepared for his day then he went to his usual hide out and called upon the witch.

He told the witch to meet up with Ryker and let him know it is time to carry out the final plan. Meanwhile Ryker was in the pack house of Rogue pack crying. He thought of the mistakes he made and how he could not stand for the woman he loved instead he became this monster that snuffed death out of people and that made him despise himself even more.

He could not handle the sight of Kyle and his mother and he often locked them up so he won't see them and he will face hi misery alone.

"Daddy look, I caught a caterpillar," Kyle said as he ran to Ryker.

"I am not you father," Ryker said to him with sorrow in his eyes as if he was wishing that Kyle was truly his child.

"I am sorry that he came to disturb you," Kyle's mother said as she rushed to take Kyle.

"Mummy, daddy just said he isn't my father," Kyle cried to his mother who consoled him and told him that Ryker was just annoyed.

As soon as they left. Ryker broke down in tears. He looked miserable and I am very sure he felt miserable too. He reached into his drawer and brought out a gun, he attached the silencer to it and but it to his head. He was about to press the trigger when the witch appeared.

"Don't you dare. What do you think you are doing?" she asked harshly.

"I am tired. I have tried my best to be a good father to Kyle, I have tried to love his mother but I cannot bring myself to do it. I am just living this miserable life and I am tired of it. I only felt at peace when I am causing havoc and it is not supposed to be like that. I am tired of living," he cried.

"What do you mean by that? You are one of the most feared men in the world you have single handedly defeated every specie in our region and you are very powerful. You are the Alpha of the rogue pack. The largest pack known, you ought to be proud," the witch said.

"Yes, I ought to be proud but every day, the guilt eats be up. It makes me wish I hadn't started at all. I am very tired and at this point, I don't see the value in living. I am supposed to be happy for all I have achieved but all I feel is pain. Every day, I feel pain!" Ryker said glaring at her with bloodshot eyes.

"I can help you with that," the witch said as she moved towards Ryker, chanting certain spells then she touched his forehead and he calmed down.

"Now, I have an assignment for you, you have to attack Zeus's pack. I think it is time he gets his revenge for everything he has done to you," the witch said to Ryker.

"But my mate is still in his pack, I cannot bring harm to her," Ryker said not willing to attack Zeus's pack.

"Don't worry, no harm will come to her. I will make sure of it," the witch said to Ryker.

"What of my child?" Ryker asked her.

"Your child died in a car accident she had when her parents where taking her to the hospital. When she got mated to Zeus, she got pregnant and they bore a daughter." The witch said with amusement in her eyes as she looked at Ryker for a reaction.

"Ahh!" Ryker screamed as he threw everything off his table.

"I will kill all of them. I will kill them all," Ryker shouted as his cried in pain.

The witch disappeared happily as she knew she had accomplished her mission.

I had pity for Ryker, he was in pain and it was all Zeus's fault. I now realized why he hated me so much. He didn't know I was his daughter.

That night, Ryker attacked the moonlit pack and he killed everyone fiercely. Zeus made the witch chant a glamour spell on one of his solider and everyone thought it was him while he escaped but not before killing my mother and making it look like it was Ryker's doing.

Ryker killed the solider that appeared like Zeus with no mercy and then he went up to see my mother but he couldn't find her and when he went to the back yard, she was dead and that was when little me came out of my bed room to see him bent over my mother.

I did not kill me, instead he faced my mother while little me ran away. I watched him as he wept then he carried my mother to be buried.

It was Zeus that took her life all along but we didn't know, I didn't know. Everyone thought Ryker had killed both my parents they didn't know that he was just a part of Zeus's plan.

That was the end of the book I wept, I wept because I killed a man who had suffered all his life without knowing the actual cause of his suffering, without knowing what caused him to be like that. I didn't know what made him the man that people feared.

I cried because I never got to see the loving man he was in the beginning. I never got to experience my father's love and for the second time, I swore to avenge both my mother's and father's death.

The next place I found myself was in front of a lake that was surrounded with beautiful flowers. I looked to my side and I saw Ryker, my father, he was sitting on the chair there staring at me.

I walked towards him and I stood before him and I just cried. For a moment all I wanted to do was hug him.
