” They’ve spotted some of them near the west border. I’ve told them to not engage for now “, Enzo says . I look up from the council records that had been gratefully sent to us as soon as Enzo had rang them about any witch covens that were slaughtered by Wolves. I think the fact they wanted to know what the hell the dark witches were doing and where they are based was their main goal for helping us so quickly. ” So the council records show once the wolves that killed the coven were captured they were found to be under a spell , believed to be put on them by dark witches ? ” Anthea asked looking over my sholulder. ” Yea ” I nod and show her the report ” They were all detained at the council. Any good witch that came near them, they attempted to attack them after they tried to charm them over a few weeks . The wolves were not even from near those parts. The pack they belonged to was over three hundred miles away. They couldn’t break the spell , as they never found exactly who placed it on them. They had to live out their lives in cells at the council, they couldn’t be trusted to leave “, I said sadly.

She took the report and started reading it over herself. ” Are we sure it is definitely this coven ? This location ? “Raan asked, looking at the map we had put up on the board. ” The other reports all had reasons for the attack on witches , territory , disputes , this was completely unprovoked and matches everything Devon told us. None of the other cases involve wolves tricking witches to love them “, Willow answered her mate.

” So how do we get these angry dead witches to hear that it wasn’t the wolves’ fault ? That it was most likely the coven that is helping them so much now that did it , because they knew it would create a strong power source for them ? ” Peter asked. Enzo looked at him. ” There is no proof it was that coven though “, Peter nodded. ” There isn’t no except it says most likely dark magic that was put on the wolves , and the fact they now reap the awards of such a cruel masacare. There may not be solid proof , but it just makes sense. It is them “, he adds, and I have to agree it did make sense.

” OK, so back to how do we get them to listen so they don’t do some voodoo s**t to us as soon as we step on that land “, Raan added , crossing his arms over his chest. I looked at the Dataneye who was down here with us , and I wasn’t shocked to see she was looking at me. She nods her head slowly. And it made my heart jump , doing what I had been thinking. It is risky, but it may be our only hope.

Standing up , I sighed, rubbing my face, feeling the stubble and the shape of Devon’s face under my hands. ” There is a way some of us could go talk with them , but it is quite dangerous. If it goes wrong, we will be in their grip. If we go onto their land, then we can call forward the spirits. If the spirit is strong enough , they’ll come to us. But that is how they will welcome us. I mean we will be going onto their land and telling them that everything they believe, all that hatred and pain was aimed at the wrong place. It is that what has given them a footing still in this world. If they don’t want to listen or believe us , it could go horribly wrong. “

” Who is this some you are thinking of going to do this ? ” Enzo asked, eyeing me. ” No one with a wolf inside of them. We need them to listen , not attack as soon as we call for them “. I saw him take a breath that would leave Anthea out of this one. ” I will go with you ” Dataneye said, stepping forward. ” I’ll obviously be there “, Penny said beside me. ” Me too “, Willow said smiling at me , Raan stepped closer to her wrapping his arm around her shoulder and nodded , telling me he was in. ” Us as well ” Shir answered and looked at Usif who nodded he agreed with her.

Anthea didn’t look comfortable with being left behind , but this was the safest way. ” What should the rest of us do ? “Enzo asked us. ” Be close by , not get seen. We need to make sure none of the dark witches see us. We will need to cloak ourselves so they don’t sense us on their land ” I tell them.

“What if they’re not willing to listen and start attacking you all ? “Anthea asked. ” Then we will be near ready to attack baby , we won’t leave our friend to die. ” Enzo said to her and she smiled gratefully at him. ” I will have an army just outside of the border ” the his eyes went unfocused liek they do when someone is linking him. I held my breath waiting , hoping it was news from Devon. When they came back into focus, he looked directly at me and Penny. ” You two can not go anywhere near there looking like that. Devon has just informed me they are going to try and kill Devon and Ryken, so the pack sees no point in going to a war for you. Seen as you look like them , it is you two that are the target “. I looked at Penny. I could swap my appearance easily , but we couldn’t swap hers unless we put her and Ryken back in their own bodies.

” You’ll have to stay here in the cells for safety ” I told her and she stood up shaking her head aggressively. ” No way , you are not leaving me here. If I need to go back to my own body, then I will , but I am not being locked in a cell. I can help , you know I can. I can go help protect Devon . Bring Ryken back here , Violet , I can’t be locked up ” she looked at me pleadingly and I knew there was a deeper meaning to it. ” Penny , if we send you back , then they’ll be after Ryken. Do you think he will take kingly to being locked away safely “, Raan snorted at my words. ” Don’t worry about Ryken , and don’t worry about Penny. She can be our back up from the sky. I will get my men to be with her, she can shift into my brother’s dragon. And be there for us if we need her and them as back up ” I looked at her to see if she agreed with that and she seemed nervous ,but she nodded eagerly.

” Why are you all hiding out down here ? ” a female voice we all recognized behind us said. We all looked around to see Rhiala and Tiffany standing at the door , both of them sporting mating marks. Tiffany looked a little nervous but Rhiala looked like she always did , smiling and confident. ” Sister your back so soon , your done already ? ” Raan mocked. Rhiala looked at him and grinned, then at Tiffany and as soon as Rhiala’s eyes landed on her she blushed smiling. ” Not even close , but my dragon got called to by Rykens saying you all needed us here . So here we are. What have we missed ? ” Raan whistled , and laughed. She looked at him confused, then looked at Penny. ” Ryken, what’s going off ? “she demanded. And Penny looked at her confused too. ” First of all , that is not Ryken , that is his mate Penny. And Penny , you must have somehow called out a message to the missing thunder members. It is what dragons do when we are all separated , we call when we need help “, Raan explained.

Rhiala looked between her brothers. ” Wait what ? Ryken has found his mate ? And how is that not Ryken? I know what my brother looks like “. Penny nervously stepped forward , which looked odd in Rykens body. Ryken was always so confident. ” You must be his sister, nice to meet you , I’m Penny ” she said, holding her hand out , or his whatever. She looked down at it and then looked at Raan and freaked out. ” Yea , that definitely ain’t Ryken “. She carefully grabbed his hand and shook it, causing everyone to laugh at the weird scene in front of us. ” Someone please fill me in ” she pleaded , and Raan stepped forward. ” Come on, let’s come out here and I’ll explain. No need for everyone to relive the s**t show that is happening again “. You could hear him explaining everything out in the hall , and we all got back on with planning.

Half an hour later, Tiffany and Rhiala walked back in looking a little bewildered. But at least they were upto speed now. I smiled at them apologetically , for the mess they had walked into . ” I went away for a few days and look what f*****g happened ” she huffs out. We all chuckled at her again , but before we got back down to business. Tiffany stepped forward , she looked at Rhiala for support, who smiled at her encouragingly. Then Tiffany looked at Enzo and Anthea. ” I would like to apologise for my behavior to the two of you. I was way out of line and way in denial. A denial so deep it even had me looking away from my own mate. The truth is I have never been attracted to males , not really. From a young age I knew that. But with how this pack was before , I made it my mission to deny what I was and become something else. I thought no one would question me if I was Luna and dating the hottest guy in the pack. So I set my sites in the future alpha . Plus, I have always been a little spoilt, so maybe there was some self-entitlement in there too. So i just want to apologise again. My behavior will be nothing like before . I can finally be me. I’ll still maybe act a little spoiled because that is all I know and Rhiala already treats me like a queen , but I can be honest with who I am attracted to and that is my mate. The mates definitely sent me someone who could pull my head out of my a*s , and not take any of my crap. So I am sure I will only keep growing into a better person because of her. If you want me out of the pack, I will understand , I am hoping not. This is my home.” She finished off.

Enzo looked down at Anthea , it looked like he was leaving this one up to her. They silently covered for a few seconds before they both looked back at Tiffany. It was anthea that spoke to her. ” I know what it feels like to be forced into being someone you are not , hissing out of shame. Tiffany, we will not be kicking you out of the pack. This is your home and we hope we can all just move past all of this now. We are very happy for you “Anthea smiled at her. Then Tiffany did something to shock Anthea. She propelled herself across the room and pulled Anthea into a hug. Anthea didn’t know what to do at first , and still, even when she returned the hug it was a little awkward. For Anthea, it was seeing her bully have a complete personality one eighty.

After that , we all got back to work. Who would be stationed where, who would go with who? And when we would go and do it. We decided the sooner the better. Enzo filled Devon in and we wasted no time after that in getting moving.
