The guy looks up at me , his head tilting. Then he looked back at Anthea. He smiles at her then takes a step back. ” I did , I am guessing you are the furute Alpha we were coming here to see ?” he says to me politely. I feel anything but f*****g polite right now. I wanted to snap, yea, so f**k off. But my dad cleared his throat behind me when all I did was just stand and stare at the man. ” That’s right ” I said begrudgingly. ” Well ,it is nice to meet you. I am the Alpha of my pack. My name is Rion “, he held his hand out and up to me , seen as I was still standing on the stairs. Anthea moved down the steps, squeezing past the guy, and I didn’t miss how his eyes followed her past him either.

Walking down after her , I took his hand and squeezed it, maybe a little too tightly than I would usually with anyone else. But he didn’t draw any attention to it. ” Enzo ” I said simply. Then I dropped his hand and moved past him myself. He introduced himself to my father , while I looked at Devon and this guy’s sister staring at each other. Well, the plan for me to mate with this chick would definitely have been out of the window.

” Can we get back to where you said you knew my sister’s Wolf “, Peter spoke up when all the greetings were made. ” Why not move into the living room , then we can all take a seat. I have refreshments in there , and then maybe if our guests wish to elaborate they can ” my mum said, smiling. Ever the perfect Luna. ” That would be amazing, thankyou ” Rion smiled thankfully at my mum. He looked at Anthea and, like a child, I quickly stepped into his line of sight. I looked at Anthea and she looked a little taken back. When we all moved into the room , I pretty much forced Anthea to sit next to me. By not leaving her side.

Mum gets to work serving drinks and that prick keeps looking over at us. Devon and his sister were sitting next to each other having heated looks between them. I give them five minutes tops before they bolt out of here. ” So , you say a guide sent you here. It was all very surprising to hear you were coming here, I must admit. I have heard of your pack. But all the stories I hear are like myths. People know of you , but not many have seen you. Then you willingly come here ” my dad started the conversation.

” We keep hidden , but not from everyone. The paranormal council know where we are at all times. They help protect us. We have a lot of gifted shifters and paranormal within our pack. Sianna was entrusted with their safety. She succeeded for nearly two hundred years. These paranormals get sent to our pack by the council. People hunt them down , use them. So they get rescued and brought to us. If the wrong people knew where we were. Let’s just say , your pack would not be known as the strongest. It would be c*****e. For all of us. There are some that hunt us and have done for years. It is why we must remain to be like a myth. Your silence about who we are while we are here would be greatly appreciated “.

The room remained silent. Until my father let out a little laugh, ” Of course , I mean that is quite a history and story you have there. But you will not be harmed by my pack , you have my word. Now what of Devon? I mean he is obviously your sister’s mate. If you and your pack remain hidden, what does that mean for him ?” my dad asked them. It was something I had not even thought of in all honesty. Too wrapped up in what he had said regarding Anthea, which annoyingly was not getting addressed.

Rion looked at his sister and smiled. ” That would be my sister’s choice , none of our members are imprisoned with us. They stay by choice , they can leave by choice. Violet had been hoping for her mate for a long, long time. It would have to be a decision made by them both, I assume” she smiled back at him, then looked shyly at Devon. ” I shall be wherever my mate is ” she said simply. Devon stood up abruptly. ” Permission to be updated on all of this later, Alpha , I wish to ermm well go for a walk with Violet. That is if she would like to ?” he sounded worried, of rejection, who knows why. That girl looked just as eager to jump out of there as he was. I mean she stood up as soon as he asked and looked at my father too. My dad waved his hand. ” Go on get out of here. Could you tell Kyle my beta to come in? He is outside guarding the house , well, because if you were not friends of ours. He can be trusted and he should be hearing all of this too “. He was talking to Rion, but telling Devon to get him.

They both did not need to be told twice. Violet asked her brother if he was OK alone and he nodded yes , then they went out the door and Tiffany’s dad , my dad’s beta, came walking in. I felt myself having disdain towards him , and I had always liked Kyle. But because of his a*****e daughter , anything to do with her made my b***d boil. He didn’t take a seat , he remained standing at the entrance door. ” So Anthea , what was this about her ?” I asked , fed up of not getting to it. I felt her tense at the side of me.

My mum sighed , probably at the short tone I was using. Mum was nothing if not a great host. I ‘ll have my a*s kicked later for it, I’m sure. ” Sianna and I were mates , fated ones. Our wolves were the strongest. Siannas especially. You see Sienna was born wolf and then shifted to human. So Sianna the human also went by Sianna. Sianna was so strong because she was a descendent from the Norse, she was also gifted with witch-like abilities. She was a warrior when needed , but with the compassion and the heart of a saint. She was out , rescuing a family of witches who had been entrapped by warlocks. It had been a trap , they had known she would come. These warlocks had tracked her for years. We still do not know how they bested her. The rescue was meant to be easy. All the Intel she had told us it was not the warlock who had been hunting her , just some low level ones with barley any magic. She had chosen to go alone, much to me begging her not to, but she never liked to see people hurt. And like I said , she was almost unstoppable in protective mode. She didn’t come back. I only knew she was gone because she said goodbye through our link. Then I had felt it , the earth-shattering pain as our link was broken. My wolf when he saw Anthea today , he rejoiced. He sensed her in you the second we laid eyes on you ” he told Anthea.

I looked at her to see her eyes looking watery. ” My wolf senses yours too. But it is just my wolf that recognizes you. I do not get the feeling we are mates ” she tells him , her voice cracking. But he doesn’t get mad or offended, he just smiles at her. ” I thought as much , because I do not feel the mate bond towards you. But my wolf and your wolf were or are mates. I am not so sure how this works myself if I am honest. I would not have thought the fates would have sent Sianna back so soon , not in my lifetime anyway. Our wolves are immortal. So to speak , everyone of our wolves here would have been here before. Different mates, different timelines, different hosts. They have to do it that way , so it keeps the balance “, he explains.

This was all so f*****g confusing. ” So what happens now ?” Peter asked. ” Well , I have had my fated mate in Sianna’s human counterpart. But I would like to get to know your sister. See if we have things in common and speak about all of this in more depth. Maybe your sister would like us to be bonded mates for our wolves ” Anthea gasped, and I saw green.

” How do we know all of this is true ?” I snapped, standing up abruptly. ” Son ” my dad warned, but I ignored him. ” NO , he said she is powerful and has powers. Anthea does not. If her wolf is this all-powerful wolf, then why is Anthea not? It doesn’t match up. What if Anthea has a fated mate out there? You are asking her to give him up too.” I snapped at him. He looked at Anthea confused. ” You have not come into your powers yet ? ” Anthea shook her head no. ” Anthea has and I mean this with no offense or to hurt you Anthea ” my father said to her. ” She was born prematurely , small, and weaker than your usual wolf. She did not make her first shift until just recently, which for a wolf is late , her wolf is also smaller. Her fur is white as snow ” my father explained.

” Sianna had white as snow fur , but her wolf was not small. This is odd , but what I say is the truth. I would not tell a lie and have no reason to ” he looked confused. Anthea spoke ” My wolf says her magic was stolen , by the warlocks. That is how they defeated her. They made her practically mortal. She says all he has said is the truth. ” I think it stunned us all, we all froze in silence as we had all just learnt Anthea has what was probably one of the most powerful wolves we had ever. known as her wolf. She is a descendent from THE WOLF . And her wolf has a mate , and I’m her mate. Two fated mates, me hers and his wolf, her wolfs.

Just when I thought , f**k, just when I was about to confess to her… f**k it. Like she would care now, if her wolf was powerful she would want her mate. The fates really were assholes on this one.
