As we went on the speed boats across to the big boat , I didn’t like the way Willow kept eyeing Enzo. Much to her own mates’ disapproval, who kept growling at her. But she just seemed to like that more. Enzo literally paid her no mind though, he was looking out at the water as Rion drove our boat and Violet drove the other boat. Why would the council work with someone like her ? She seemed so much like a, well, a b***h if I was honest. The ride between boats took literally five minutes. And when Rion idled our boat at the side of some ladders of the other boat. Enzo helped me up onto the ladder first , he took my bag and slung it over his own shoulder as well as his own bag. Then he was close beside me all the way up. Then we were followed up by her and her mate. Rion stayed on the boat. I wondered where he was going with it as he pulled away from the boat to let the other boat come to the side.

But when Violet’s boat was empty , she threw a rope to Rion , who tied it to his boat and then he pulled their boat closer and he climbed over onto her, then onto the ladder. Violet threw a rope up to him and he tied the boat to the bigger boat. Then he reached down and helped Violet up. ” If she’s magic, why didn’t she just zap us there ? Instead of all of this hassle and travel. Witches can do that, can’t they ?” Devon asked as he watched his mate climb up. When she was on the deck, Rion looked at him. ” She could, but magic can be trailed. A magical taxi, so to speak, leaves a trail because of the amount of magic that it requires. So we go how the humans would magic free , no risk. Plus, no risk of any humans seeing us poof off of the beach onto a boat three miles away “, Rion explained.

” If you will all come into the cabin , there is a space where you can all lie comfortably while we travel ” Violet says gently , her composure fully back after her annoyance with Willow back on the beach. I noticed Violet clinging to my brother’s arm. I understood why. I think this part made all the people being put magically to sleep anxious. But we all followed Violet. Inside the cabin it was luxurious and on the floor there were lots of blankets and pillows scattered about. Who had set all of this up ? I must have been looking at it confused because Willow laughed, appearing at the side of me. Making me jump. ” Violet did all of this with her magic. It looks like a love pile at its finest. Shame it won’t be used as one ” she stroked down my arm and I flinched away.

” Violet has magic ?” Enzo asked. Devon nodded ” Yea she does ” he answered. I looked at Rion. ” I thought you said she shape shifted the same as you and saw the future ? ” he looked at Willow annoyed. ” She also has magic , but we are selective about who we tell. It is safer that way because her magic is very selective. Our mother was born of dark magic , our father a shape shifter. Our mother was not a good person , if Violet tapped into it too much, dark magic could consume her, like it did our mother. So she sticks to simple magic , party tricks so to speak. If it got out and she was ever captured and they forced her to use it , the sweet beautiful Violet we know now would no longer exist. In her place, an evil, hot-tempered person with no good emotions , Violet has to work hard to keep her emotions in check. ” Well, it at least looks like she had come clean about all of this with Devon.

” Shape shifter. I have read about them. You can be whoever and whatever you want ? “Enzo asked, Rion nodded. ” You knew ?” he asked me and I nodded. ” He told me on our walk he shape shifted to me and then you and then back to himself. It was cool to watch “, I told him. But Enzo’s jaw clenches ” I don’t like that , it just makes it easier for you to be a sneaky bastard if you choose . Pretend to be me and trick Anthea . Pretend to be Anteha and trick me or , pretend to be someone who is supposedly a mate with someone else’s mate “, Enzo’s voiced. Rion laughs at him , but the tension in the room was thick. ” Back to the not trusting me again , I don’t know what I did, for, this, to all of a sudden come on Enzo , but I am exactly who I am. This is my true form. I do not use my abilities for anything other than good “.

Enzo shrugged. We shall see. I looked at Enzo to see what had gotten into him. But he was moving , taking our bags off of his shoulders and dumping them on the floor and sitting himself on a spot on the floor. ” If we aren’t back within a week , believe me, my dad will raise hell. You have his pride and joy on board ” he nods his head at Abigail and then looks at me patting the spot at the side of him. ” Let’s get this show on the road ” he states simply. Leaving us all a little uncomfortable with his mood change. I move and sit, myself at the side of him though, and he, lays back, pulling me down with him , he pulls me up to his side and wraps his arms protectively around me. Making sure we had pillows under our heads. ” Abigail at the side of me “, he tells his sister and Peter follows.

” Paranoid much ” Willow laughs , but Enzo pays her no mind. ” Devon, if you don’t mind this side of Anthea, please “, he points to the side of me and Devon rolls his eyes. ” My mate isn’t going to let anything happen to us , whats gotten into you man ” Devon grumped but came and laid at my other side. Enzo didn’t answer him. He just hugged me a little too tightly to him. Violet came over and kissed Devon softly. ” Have a nice sleep, my love. I shall see you soon ” she whispered against his mouth , but Devon had other idea. He deepened the k**s. He kept it going until Rion cleared his throat. ” When your ready you two ” he grumped. I’m guessing watching his sister make out wasn’t a pleasure for him.

She pulled back and Willow moved to hover above us all. She raised her hands and started to chant , the carefree playful smile was gone. It seemed when she was required to work she was all business as her face turned serious. I felt my body go a little tingly. My bones went heavy and I felt like I was drifting. I felt Enzo’s arms squeeze me and then nothing.

Tingling again , all over my body. It felt like I could actually feel the b***d rushing all over. I started to hear them talking. Mumbling , then I saw light behind my eyelids. My fingers started twitching and then I could blink my eyelids open. ” Wakey wake sleepy beauties ” Willows voice. Cracking an eye lid open , I saw her standing there above us again. In different clothes. Well, not clothes a bikini , with a skirt thing wrapped around her bottom half. Moving my head to the side, I saw Enzo lying there, his eyes just blinking open. He quickly whipped his head my way , his eyes shooting open in a shot. I physically see him relax as he lays his eyes on me , then he turns and looks his sister’s way.

” Stand carefully , it can sometimes leave people feeling lightheaded for a few hours ” Willow said above us. She then walked off , Rion and Violet moved into my vision. They were both smiling. ” Welcome to the island , everyone is gathering to meet you all. They were all excited about having different people to talk to and to see you ” Violet beamed, looking at me. To say she wanted to explore the world more , she sure looked happy to be home. Enzo slowly sits up and then stands up , when he’s up and dosen’t seem too wobbly. I slowly got up myself. I felt fine , but it seemed Abigail didn’t. Peter had to help her and she looked a little nauseous. After a few minutes though, she seemed to come round a little. Violet had gotten her a drink of water and she had swallowed it down.

Enzo grabbed our bags and held his hand out to me. I grabbed it without thought. Then I looked up and saw Rion looking at our hands and a flash of guilt ran through me. He looked sad. Not as smiley as his sister or he had been now. He caught me looking at him though and he tried a small smile and then cleared his throat. ” Lets go then ” he walked us out and as soon as we left the cabin I was in awe. This place was what you saw in movies. The ship was docked a few miles away again so you could see the whole island. It was so picture perfect , the sun was hot and beaming down on us and on the beach stood a small crowd waving at us. It was all green mountains and trees. I squeezed Enzo’s hand in excitement. I couldn’t wait to explore everywhere. For the first time in days I felt my wolf stir for me to let her out , I guess being back here made her excited.
