” She was beautiful ” I commented, staring at a picture that Rion had handed me. Enzo looked at the picture over my shoulder. We had come to Rions like he had asked. He had already gotten out boxes and books filled with scribbles and pictures. They were all stacked on the table when we had arrived. ” Do you not see a resemblance ?” Enzo commented over my shoulder as he looked down at it. I looked at him confused and he pointed to the picture. ” Every other feature is completely different, but look at the eyes ” he said. Squnting back at the picture, I looked into the beautiful women’s eyes and they looked back at me with familiarity. ” I saw it the first time I saw you “, Rion commented. Looking at the girl looking back at me , I couldn’t help but feel sad. She looked so happy , she was smiling at the camera , her hair in a plait . Rion handed me another photo and it was a big white wolf. Same fur as mine , but it was huge. Bigger than Enzo’s wolf.

” These are the notes she made when she looked into these warlocks, and there were abouts. She writes about them being from this certain clan. They are known to originate from Nepal. They had kept to themselves for years and years , never bothering anyone. Never really being seen , they had their own community and they stuck to it. But rumors spread of them becoming extinct , none of them baring children. Women they kept were becoming sick and dying off. So they started looking for cures. To an unknown illness no one had ever come across. They were just mummifying literally. They would become weak and lethargic and then become trapped in their own bodies still alive. They believed someone had cursed them, so they started seeking magic far greater than their own to try and fix them. Sianna has written here. It states they still lie there now , like living dead. Warlocks, like any shifters,’ life span is long. When they mate, they share their near mortality like wolves do if they mate with humans. But they live longer. Normally, life expectancy is between two to three hundred years. Dependent on how strong the warlock is. It is also how they determine their own royalty. We think they are using Sianna’s magic to break whatever curse was bestowed upon them ” he says, pointing at neat script writing.

” Your story now is a little different to what you said in the pack ” Enzo spoke up. Rions’ gaze snapped up at him. ” No not really , I hardly divulged anything. Anthea was still in two minds as to what she wished to do. If I skated around some truths it was only to not freak her out. But these are all Sianna’s words , this is all the truth. In these boxes, her diaries. Her words , Anthea only has to listen to Sianna to know this is all the truth “, Enzo huffed . But Sianna was quiet. I knew there was more I needed to read here. But there was a bigger thing nagging at me. Standing up abruptly. I think I shocked all that were there.

” I need to go meet Shira , ermmm Enzo , Peter, will you keep doing all of this. “I waved my hand at the table full of stuff. ” Take them back to our house. I’ll read up later. ” I turn to leave and Violet stops me. ” Wait Anthea , this is all important. Shouldn’t you be here ? ” Looking back at her, she had the same confused look everyone else did. ” Yea and I will , but something tells me I really need to go speak with Shira right now. I’ll do all of this later “, she looks across at Rion and they share a look.

But I wasn’t going to dissect it right now. Walking out, I wasn’t shocked to see Shira standing outside of the house, it looked like she was waiting for me. I smiled at her and she smiled back. ” How did you know I was coming out ? ” I asked, as we both started walking down the path away from the house. “Because I called for you ” she stated. That made sense, the sudden urge to find her that had come out of knowhere. ” So you called, where are we going ?” I asked and she just grinned. ” Well, you may need your wolf for this and if you don’t mind giving me a ride , I would appreciate it. Sianna will take us there. “

Looking at her weirdly, ” My wolf isn’t big like the others. How can I give you a lift? I don’t think my wolf could carry you even though you’re only small ” I winced. I didn’t want to insult her. She just laughs though. ” Oh you can handle it trust me ,let’s get somewhere private for you to shift shall we, ” she nods her head and I follow her confused as she walks into the woods.

She remains quiet as we walk in deeper. Then she stops and looks around and looks at me expectantly. ” Go ahead ” she smiles and then waits patiently. Shira gave this calming feeling. Being around her makes you just feel care free. I quickly strip and shift into my wolf. I watched her through Sianna’s eyes. She slowly walked to me and ran her hands through my fur. ” What is about to happen can not be spoken of , not even with any of your mates ” she stated, then the hands running through my fur started to make my wolf skin tingle.

” Sianna, what’s happening ?” I asked her. ” Shira is trusted ” was all she said. It felt like our bodies were warming up and then SHira seemed to get shorter. We had been at eye level and now I was having to look down on her. ” Wait how ? ” Our wolf was getting bigger. Stronger I could feel it , the power running through our muscles felt like a vibration. Shira laughed. ” I’ll explain but we need to go before you are seen. Could you lay down so I can get on ” she patted the wolf’s shoulder. Freaked out, I lay our new big body down and she straddled on to my back. Carefully, I stood back up, scared she would fall off.

” Let me “Sianna’s voice drifted through , full of excitement. She took off taking over. If I thought I was fast before, I was wrong. Sianna belted us through the trees at a speed where I could’t even see properly. I couldn’t hold back the inner excitement I felt. Sianna ran with us. I just enjoyed the feeling of it. It wasn’t until she came to the water edge of the ocean that she stopped. ” Here comes the fun part ” Shira laughed. I was about to question what when Sianna ran into the water and started to swim out. In the distance I could see a huge big rock. It looked quite far out. But at the speed Sianna kicked through the water , we were gaining on it in no time.

When we got up close, she swam around to the side of it where there was a big opening that led onto a large ledge. Sianna climbed us up and out of the water. Shira jumped off and clicked her fingers. Her wet clothes turned dry. ” Shift back. We need your legs for the next part. This big beautiful creature can’t climb down “. Sianna pulled back and left me there naked. Which, when your about to shift wasn’t too bad. But when you were just stood there waiting for what to do next , it was kind of weird. Shira clicked her fingers again and then I had on leggings and a t -shirt. ” There now, let’s climb down , the rest of the tribe back there only know about this ledge here , they come for the beauty of looking out at the sea and the swim. But none of them know about this. ” she smiled giddy and walked off, leaving me to follow.

To the far right behind some rocks was a small tunnel-like opening that you couldn’t see down. Shira stopped and looked down. ” Wait, you want us to go down there , its pitch black ” I pointed, outraged. She just laughed ” That’s why the others won’t go down there. Don’t worry, the darkness makes it look like a bottomless pit. But it is actually just a small drop. ” She sat down and put her legs down , then scooted forward , then she turned and shimmied down and then she dropped down. I waited to hear her scream or call for help but it didn’t come, in fact, it was silent. Which made me start to panic. ” Shira ” I shouted.

” Come on Anthea ” she shouted. Looking around, I felt panic start to rise. Was I really about to do this ? Taking a deep breath, I shakily sat myself on the edge. ” Are you sure it isn’t far ?” I shouted and she laughed again. ” Come on , your feet will touch down as soon as you drop, I promise ” I must be out of my mind. I don’t feel so calm now. Turning around, I copied what she did. And then took a deep breath and pushed my body down and dropped. Unlike her, I yelled , but she was right. My feet hit the floor.

” See ” she said , but my heart was pounding. ” No I don’t see because I can’t see “. I panicked, not knowing where I was. I felt her hand on my arm. ” Use her eyes , use your wolf ” she said. I didn’t know how to do that. ” Just link with her using her abilities, your abilities “she says again. Concentrating, I do as she says and eventually the dark starts to look a little brighter. ” All wolf shifters can do this , you’ve just not been trusting yourself. You have been shifting but you haven’t been channeling her in this form. Your link is all broken. You need to fix it ” she states. Had I really been doing that , I saw her through the darkness. Her features are a little blurry but she was there. ” This way ” she says, and starts walking off again. So, like a puppy, I followed again.

When she turned us around the corner , fire lit up all around us and torches on the walls. Then what I saw took my breath away. Literally , I couldn’t breathe as I looked at the beauty of it.
