” Anthea , Anthea ” a feminine female voice sounded through the fog. It was one that I had only heard in my mind before. ” Anthea wake up “. I heard her calling me , but it was hard to pull myself out of the darkness. ” Anthea , stop messing around and get your a*s here “, she snapped, and I huffed. I looked in the direction of the voice and pushed myself through the darkness towards it. ” That’s it this way ” she guided. I kept pushing until the dark fog kept getting lighter and lighter.

Until there she was , a bright light shining behind her making her glow like a beacon. Sianna , in human form. Her hair blew in some sort of phantom breeze. I mean the place we were in was just empty. Light now , but empty. ” What are we doing here ?” I asked her. She shrugged and looked down , moving a piece of her hair back behind her ear. ” I thought it was time we actually met face to face. ” I raised a brow at her and smirked. ” We couldn’t just talk in my mind ?” I asked her. She laughed. The sound was light and tinkering. “We could have , but there was someone else that wanted to speak to you when the time was right. ” I looked at her in confusion. She laughs again and walks closer to me. She comes and puts her hand on my shoulder , teh next thing I knew she pulled me towards her in a hug that was bone crushing.

” Anthea , your the piece of me I have been searchinf for my whole life. The one that was meant to be mine. People feel my power and it consumes them. Each and every host I’ve had has relished my magic. You , you’ve had a piece of it inside you for days now and you have barely touched it. Only to help people. It’s why I am always called back , with my hosts. Not because they were bad people , but having it. It is like walking a tight rope. You can fall one way or the other. ” She whispered in my ear.

She pulled back and looked at me with tears in her eyes , but they looked like happy ones. ” Like Violet ? and her magic ” she laughs and swipes at her cheeks. “Exactly , but hers is tied to dark magic. Mine is just because it is so big. It is neither good nor bad , it is just everything. ” She explains.

” It is directly from the original magic , the first magic in existence. It is from me “, a different female voice said behind me. Turning, I saw the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. ” It is nice to meet you Anthea ” she said, and I know I definitely didn’t say a coherent word back to her. ” I have waited for a long time to meet you ” she said and I think I almost fainted.

It felt scary to think of it like that , but at the same time. I never wanted to be immortal or all powerful , and I felt like me and Sianna were the same in so many ways. Never able to live how we wanted to , or who we wanted to be. If this was the way she would get to live and be free , as well as myself be free. Then it was a no-brainer for me. The only thing for me that was still huge was that I would still be protecting people. ” It is who you are Anthea. You have protected people your whole life. Even those that have not deserved it. Your family , you stayed hidden. Who was that for you or them ? ” Sianna asked me, of course, knowing my thoughts. I guess it has always been for them. To hide them from shame. I’d always wanted to be free.

” I am not scared to protect people , my concern is whether I will be any good at it. My choice is to keep Sianna so we can both be free. She has been mine since the moment she woke “. The moon goddess smiled at me. And I felt the rush of love Sianna had at my words. ” Then you shall now ne who you are meant to be , I knew it was time when I saw the kindness you gave to the woman that birthed you. Even though she has never shown you none. Anthea , you are the true Alpha of the moon goddess . Your status outranks any other alpha and that is how you will protect our people after this last endeavor. You shall go to my magic and unleash it from its confines, you have to consume it for me to then remove what that balance keepers wish to be returned. You will be left with what is allowed , what will not upset the balance. After this last fight , your way of protecting our people will be to be a fair and kind true alpha , and make it so all other alphas follow your lead. Protection is not always in the fight “, she tells me. Coming forward, she places her hand on my shoulder. I felt a sharp shooting pain , and heat radiated all over my shoulder.

” SIanna has always been the true alpha of alphas. But she never had a true form that would be kept to give this mark to. But you now were the mark of the true alpha of the moon goddess. If anyone does not believe you , just tell them to look to the moon. I will make sure you have all the proof you need , and tell them to read history books. Too many wolves do not know our true history these days ” she huffs. Then she leans forward and k****s my forehead.

I felt my body propel backwards and then I was gasping as I sat up in Enzo’s arms. The alpha and the Luna were also hovering over me , but I felt the burn still on my shoulder. So I scrambled and pulled my dress down over my shoulder. Gasps could be heard and I looked up at the alpha. He was gawking at the ink that covered my shoulder. ” That , that s**t ” he said, stumbling back. Enzo was looking between the mark and his dad.

“What ? “Enzo asked and the alpha started laughing. ” That son explains the alpha aura she was propelling, that is the mark of the mood goddess and her chosen true alpha. ” He looked back at me and I smiled sheepishly. ” Is there anything you are not going to be ? All powerful witch wolf , now the true alpha ” he smiled at me. ” Actually Sianna has always been the true alpha , she just never wore the mark. The moon goddess said Sianna is her . . ” I was cut off by the Luna. ” Did you just say moon goddess as in she had spoken to you ? “I nodded my head in confirmation and she gasped. As well as a few others , I looked to see the bedroom door is open. My father was looking my way and smiling. It was my mother who also gasped. I didn’t want to discuss any of this in front of her though. If she learned to accept me , it would be for me. Not for who I am now.

Getting up , with Enzo’s help. I moved to the closest window and looked up. I looked down at the mark with the tattoo of the moon on it and the shadowy shape of the wolf howling below it. Looking up at the moon , I watched as the moon’s shadows changed to the exact same image as my mark. ” s**t ” Enzo said quietly behind me. He was looking up at the exact same thing. Then he laughed, ” I guess your my alpha ” he mused. ” The alpha of the alphas ” his dad corrected him. It was then I felt my body urging me to shift. ” It is time to make both of our bodies stronger. The first shift, as the true alpha, will do what you wished for your first shift. No longer the runt ” Sianna said, and I looked back at Enzo and smiled. ” Come for a run with me, we won’t be gone long”, I asked him. He didn’t need persuading , I told them to hold the meeting. This was what I had always wanted , not power , or magic. Just to look and be like the rest of them.
