” Can we even remove the spell put on them ? ” I asked Sianna. Looking at all the immobile bodies through the cell door was creepy. It made shivers run down my spine just being down here. ” We should be able to , but some spells can be tricky. It can be hard to undo another witch’s spell. At least for us , I don’t want to keep tapping into the moon goddess’s magic. The quicker we give it back the better”. I heard some shouting further down the hall. The alpha and Enzo were talking to someone through the door. Walking over , I went to see what the fuss was about. Getting closer, I heard the one voice I had not missed. Tiffany’s errghhh , it screeched through me like a knife scrapping along a plate.

” When can we get out of here ? This is unfair and inhumane. We get it OK she isn’t going anywhere ” she huffed like the b***h she was , all whiny and stuff. When I came into view I saw her , she didn’t look too hot right now. Her hair was in a messy bun , she looked pale. Her father and mother stood behind her , looking pissed off. Her eyes cut at me and I saw no less hatred now , than the day she got put down there. Enzo had asked me to stay over where I was , but the truth of how they feel now will only be seen by them seeing me.

She came closer to the door and looked me up and down. ” Well, well, well , little Anthea has grown. ” Crossing my arms over my chest , I looked her square in the eyes. I didn’t want her to see me look weak. Or her to make me feel any less than confident. ” Yep , a lot has changed now. Like the fact I am the one true alpha chosen by the moon goddess “, I pulled my shirt to the side and flashed the mark that she had left there.

Tiffany looked at it , then looked back up at my face. Before she started laughing ” Yea right ” she laughed. But her dad came forward and his eyes widened. ” She is telling the truth. I have seen that mark in all the books regarding her. How ? ” he asked me. Covering up the mark, I shrugged. ” we explained it all. My wolf spirit is her daughter or creation. I’m not sure how they describe it “, I told him. I saw him visibly swallow. Tiffany looked between me and her dad. ” Daddy , you can’t fall for this . This is trickery. You said it yourself. She is not worthy of being Luna “. Her dad looked at her angrily. And for the first time in her life I think he told her off.

” Tiffany, shut up , you have no idea what this means. The goddess hasn’t chosen a true alpha for centuries. Anthea is , well, she is wolf royalty ” she finished in a whisper. Tiffany looked furious. But her dad looked sick , like he was seriously questioning everything in his life. ” We , ermm ” he cleared his throat and looked at his family. ” We will do our punishment here quietly , no arguments. And when the time comes, you see our release is fit. Then I promise you will hear no more arguments from us. Anthea , I am sorry and I offer you my sincere apologies ” he tilts his head towards me.

I was about to speak back when Tifanny screeched. ” You can not be serious , this is all lies. I am Luna me , not her daddy. She is not ” he rounded on her and got in her face. ” Shut up Tiffany , if you continue to speak then you will get banished alone. Me and your mother , we respect the old wolf laws , the moon goddess. And if you choose not to, you are on your own. Anthea will be your Luna or alpha now. Whatever she is , that is what you will treat her as. ” She looked like she was about to cry , like physically break down.

” Luna is fine. I have no intentions of taking Enzo’s rightful place. Nor do I truly know what all of this means yet. I’m sure someone will clue me in at some point “. I smiled shyly at having him stick up for me and the reaction to me saying who I was had gotten. I looked to see Enzo smiling proudly , a little smug to be honest. “Come with me to do this ” I said , pointing with my head at the cell with all the lifeless bodies. ” Shira , Willow and Violet should be here any minute to help. Shira and Willow had gone to get Violet from the pack hospital. Sianna had an idea for her to channel their magic to try and wake them rather than use the goddesses , or as little as.

” Dad , you coming ? “he asked the alpha as he came forward and took my hand. His dad nodded his head , but he was looking at his friend. ” I will be there in just a second ” he confirmed. Walking over to the cell, Enzo opened the door to let us in. They had laid them all on mattresses on the floor. Firya’s body was back among them. The way their eyes followed you made it feel like some sort of horror story. I felt the need to talk to them before. Let them know what was going off. Hopefully , I can win them over a little bit.

” My name is Anthea , me and my friends. We are going to try and break the spell holding you all so still. I have something that Yianna and Firya said would help you all. My wolf spirit is Sianna, and I want to help you all. From what I know of the story, what happened to you all was unfair. I can’t give you your magic back , but hopefully breaking the spell will at least save all your lives. You can eat and drink and get well. Right now , I can see what her getting your magic has done to you. I can see you all fading away. That is why I wish to help. Because again you have had an injustice done to you “, I took a nervous breath and looked at Enzo , who was standing stock still , his arms crossed looking menacing. But he looked at me and nodded encouragingly.

” Yianna wants Sianna’s magic. That isn’t a secret. But you all have to know if she got it . Well, it would be dangerous. She has my family , and I would appreciate your help in getting them back. I know what I am asking , is asking you to pick a side. But after the hurt you have all, received at the hands of her father and her. Maybe it is time for you all to follow your own rules. There wasn’t much more I could say to them like this , I needed them to speak back. I needed to actually know their feelings. I could be talking all for nothing if their wants were the same as Yiannas. I heard the girls approaching and when they came in , I saw how hollow Violet looked. Which could only mean Rion wasn’t doing so well. Add that to her mate avoiding her , she looked horrific. Her eyes looked dull and lifeless, like she was giving up all hope.

The alpha walked in , he was looking a little happier. I’m guessing having his life-long friend come around a little bit was a huge thing for him. ” Let’s get this show on the road ” Shira said, looking as creeped out as I felt. ” Sianna says she will link with you all , and use your magic. She knows the spell so she will say it to me for me to repeat . If you three could just copy me. Hopefully she can crack this ” The girls all nodded and we created a circle all holding hands as the men watched on, protectively.

She began to speak some words slowly , so I repeated them. After four or five times, the girls and I spoke them in unison. Nothing happened. At first, the bodies around us remained still. Then it was like I could feel the girls in me. One by one I felt the link happen. I felt their hearts beating inside of me as well as my own. I felt each magic source , it was different for every girl. I felt Violetes click into place and I felt something in me fee dark, and light like they were at war. Was this how she always felt ?

Slowly , I watched as some of the bodies started to twitch. But that is all , just small movements like their fingers or toes moving. Or their mouths opened slightly and closed. ” It isn’t enough ” Sianna said. ” I need to use more ” she added on. She didn’t sound pleased by the idea. But we coudln’t leave them like this. It wasn’t right , and she knew that.

I felt the strength inside me grow , and the more we changed, the more the bodies moved. I felt elated that we were helping. We kept going until one by one they all drew in deep breaths like it was their first. ” It’s done ” Sianna said sadly. ” We did the right thing Sianna ” I tried to console her. But she was moving to the back of my mind. She was thinking that maybe this would damage our chance to stay. ” I won’t let them take us, Sianna “, I promised her , but she didn’t answer.

” Lets talk to them outside of the cell, yea ? “Enzo asked as he watched them all slowly start to try and sit up. He didn’t trust them. Through the door their magic couldn’t touch us if, for some reason, they did still have any. But I couldn’t sense any magic in them , but if it made him feel better , I had no objection to moving out of here. Better not to take any chances.
