Once we were behind the door , it took a while for them all to become coherent. They were dazed and foggy , and weak. Some could hardly even stand. They’d been laid down for so long , I was surprised they even remembered how. ” We need to get them some food and water down here , they may even need a doctor “, I said, worriedly, watching them. ” Let’s wait to see how they react first before we put a doc in the room with them ” Enzo said from behind me. ” They’re human Enzo , what can they do if you have warriors standing guard ” I tried to reason with him.

” I’m going to go back to the hospital. Do you want me to send a doctor down here ? “Violet asked us . I was about to answer yes , but Enzo spoke first. ” Hold the doctor , but will you go ask Devon if he will arrange for food and drinks to be brought down, please Violet “, she looked at him a little fearful. The concept of her going and speaking to her mate makes her scared , not of Devon. He would never hurt her , but most definitely another rejection. I think that would just about kill her off , if he did.

But I saw what Enzo was doing , he was forcing them to at least communicate. Maybe if Devon saw the mess she was in , he would atleast try to be there for her a little bit. She took in a deep shaky breath and walked off. Looking back into the room, I saw one of them coming to the door and she looked pissed. Firya. She didn’t look as weak as the rest. Maybe because they were all down a lot longer. ” Let me out of here , I want to go kill that b***h ” she snapped as she got to the window in the door.

” That isn’t happening ” Enzo told her sternly. She glared at him. ” So it is OK for you to hijack my body to go and save your a*s , but I can’t go kill her. Let me out , I ‘ll do it and all your troubles will be over “. Enzo shook his head. But it was Willow who pushed forward. ” So it is OK for you to hijack my body for years , not just a few hours. Maybe he should let me in so I can kill you ” she spat at her. Firya smiled smugly at her. ” Honey, I did you a favour, I showed you a good time”.

” A good time , you used my body to be a w***e ” she shouted at her. Firya rolled her eyes. ” I felt your excitement too, Willow , don’t act so prudish now. Willow was literally turning red. ” I was saving myself for my mate you b***h “. Firya just looked bored with the whole scenario. ” Now when people see me , people from my own coven aswell. They will believe I was the one trying to split up matings and relationships. You got me banished from my own home “, Firya just laughed. ” Again a favor , they were a bore. ” Willow was about to explode. I saw her hand reach for the door , so I pulled her back. ” Willow, don’t her getting to you is just what she wants. Don’t let the hatred you have for her take up any more of your life. Look at her, she’s literally nothing ” I couldn’t resist the slight dig. I mean Willow was right. This girl was a first-class b***h. ” We can vouch for you with your family what happened. Everything is not lost ” I comforted her.

” Nope, not everything , just your reputation, your family innocence. I mean, whoooshh, we had some pretty crazy nights we did. And what we did at your coven, they’ll definitely never want you back “, Firya mocked. ” ENOUGH ” Enzo snapped , just as Willow pushed back to the door. ” WHAT YOU DID YOU NOT ME “, she was angry, crying now. ” Come on Willow ” Shira said stepping ingrabbing her arm. ” Let’s go up and help the rest with welcoing the people from the island in to the pack land shall we ” she coaxed her away and I smiled at Shira greatful.

” Well, I guess that answers our question about you, doesn’t it ? “I looked back at Firya eyes narrowed. ” On the contrary , I want her dead. Gone , I am more on your side than anyone. I will drive the blade through her heart for you” she smiled. ” And when she’s dead , if that gives you your magic back, what would then be your goal? ” I saw it , as fleeting as it was. The way she looked at me , told me I would still be the goal. ” I would go and live my life , no longer trapped in someone else or held back by a b***h of a sister ” It was a lie , anyone could see how fake that was. ” Nice try ” I said, narrowing my eyes.

” And for your little stunt with Willow , you can screw if you think your getting fed. You can stay weak so you don’t try anything funny “, I threatened. It was comical how quickly her expression changed. From trying to act sweet and innocent , to a raging bull in seconds. She slammed her hand against the door. ” You can not do that , let me out. Do you know what the f**k I will do to you ? I have people under my control everywhere. I may be stuck here, but I am not weak nor without my people ” she threatened.

” Shut up Firya , you talk hollow. You know as soon as you lose your magic all your party tricks, with people’s minds will have gone “, a soft-spoken voice said. Firya turned and behind her stood a beautiful looking woman. Even though her hair was dull , her skin pale and chalky , her eyes looked like she had fire in them and you could see the potential of her beauty. ” Shut up Datneye “, Firya hissed at her. But what was happening behind Datneye told me all I needed to know , all of the other females started standing behind her. Not with Firya and they all looked at Firya furious.

The woman she had called Datneye looked at us over Firya’s shoulder. ” If you have any plans for her to where you need her alive , then I suggest you move her out of this cell. Because I promise she will not remain alive here for long. Once she is gone, we will talk with you and I promise me and my sisters will be more than compliant. ” she nods her head in respect towards me.

” Oh yea, and what are you lot going to do? Look at you all. You already look dead , barely able to stand. ” She waves her hand at them. ” Yea, you don’t look so vibrant either , and we have already established you are not to eat and we are. Who will gain their strength first? Your family has continued to abuse us for years. Trust me when I say we will kill you before night falls “. I liked this woman. And the way Enzo was smirking, I think he did too. ” Get some warriors down her and lets move her out to the far cell , all the way down there so she can not hear us talk. Will that be OK with you ladies ?” Enzo asks them and they all agree as much as they can in the condition they were in.

Firya protested , she tried to fight, but she was weak and merely mortal now as the warriors pulled her out of the cell and down the hall. The women had tired of standing. Even just for those few minutes had wiped them out , so they had all seated themselves against the wall. Using it as support to keep them up. ” We can go in and talk to them. Look Enzo , they are not a threat ” I said once Firya was out of the way. Enzo looked at his dad , and it was like they were having a silent conversation. Before they answered, Devon showed up with food and bottles of water. He looked as miserable as Violet.

Once Enzo had taken the large basket off of him , he did something I could k**s him for. Even though it may not be fair. ” Thank you Devon , now I order you to go and protect your mate at the hospital. You are forbidden to move more than a few feet away from her ” I felt his Alpha aura come out , and Devon looked at him like he was about to argue. But it was a direct command , and even though Enzo had not taken the oat yet , he was strong, and it was enough. It was taking away his choice , but it was what was needed. We needed both Devon and Violet , and this version of them would be of no use to us.

Devon grit his teeth and looked away. You could tell he was trying to fight it , but lost the battle. ” Of course ” he snapped before storming off. Enzo sighed at his retreating back and his father slapped him on the back. ” He will forgive you Son , we need to add to that list of things to do. It is time you took over. We can not prolong it anymore. I weaken more and more each day. Our pack needs a strong Alpha to guide them through this. Now open this door and let’s go feed these ladies ” he nodded his head , and I smiled gleefully.

The women were all grateful when we gave them food , but it seemed their bodies weren’t. They all took merely a few bites of the sandwiches that had been brought and started throwing them back up, including the water. ” What’s wrong with them ?” I asked Enzo. He looked down at them all concerned. ” I don’t know ,dad, we need a doctor. ” The alpha nodded and made his way out of the cell. When he came back , he came back with the Luna and a doctor. We stood back while the doctor looked over a few of them. “Their bodies have been shut down for so long. They haven’t used any bodily functions for decades. Quite frankly, their bodies do not know what to do now. They need IV’s for fluids and observation. They need to be at the hospital ” the doctor said, but Enzo shook his head.

” No , bring a hospital to them. No offense, ladies, you are not trusted as of yet. Down here we know you are neutralised, ” he explained, and it was Datneye who spoke ” That is fine with us , down here we are safe from things up there too “, she smiled weakly. ” Ok , so doc , send nurses down here. All the equipment you need the warriors will help bring. Do what you need to do. But no nurse or doctor is left here alone without atleast three warriors guarding them. I will assign details in shifts. ” The doctor was’t happy , he was caring for Rion and there were only two more doctors in the pack. Wolves don’t need medical care really often , except kids and the elderly. Kids are not all that frequent either , their immune systems are higher than most kids , so there was never no need for more. They work shifts and they will be stretched needs in two different locations. But he eventually gave in and said they would work something out and left to get what he needed.

” We should come back to talk to them, Anthea. They are too weak now. They need some rest “, Enzo suggested, and I eventually agreed. I didn’t want to leave them. But we can’t do anything for them right now.
