Chapter 91

Three days later was the first sign we had that she was still living. It wasn’t her that turned up though. There were five men who all looked to be out of their minds. And when they hit our land. The warriors that first saw them approach said they had shifted , but it looked to be painful and difficult. It wasn’t wolves they changed into either, they changed into black panthers. They attacked without waning , running at the warriors. When we had all gotten there, three were dead , as well as one of our own. And the warrior was fighting the other two that had survived. Ryken and Raan had confirmed that something magical had happened to them. Enzo , Devon ,Raan and Ryken had managed to subdue them while me and Willow had knocked them out.

Then the guys had dragged the two surviving ones down into the cells and locked them in there. The day after that, more had turned up. This time seven of them , Enzo, had doubled the warriors on patrol. And my brother was there , also. Two were unavoidably killed when they had been too close to killing two of our own. The other five were thrown into more cells. The day after that one, ten had shown up. Me , Rhiala and Violet had been the closest when the howls of warning had come. We had rushed to see three of our men down , and only two of theirs. Two warriors fought the rest , but was losing the battle. Me and Rhiala had jumped into the fray without a second thought. And to say it felt good to get my hands dirty was an understatement. Days of anxiousness that built up I could let out. Rhiala was a machine too , and in all honesty, with Enzo stalking my every move, I was glad we got there first. Because I know he would have stopped me jumping in.

Violet was working on knocking them out. By the time Enzo turned up , me and Rhiala were fist bumping as men lay passed out around us , even the warriors were clapping us on the back at how we saved their asses. That was until they coped a load of Enzo’s pissed off face. It annoyed me to be honest. How all of a sudden he was back to treating me like I was breakable. I am a better fighter than most men in this pack now. ” Sorry we had all of the fun “, I joked, trying to lighten the mood. Enzo didn’t even nearly crack a smile. ” Get all of these down to the cells. At this rate we will have no where to put them “, he huffed out to Devon , who was at his side.

Everyone around us started hustling about , but I did move and neither did he. He looked back at me and our eyes were there connected. Both of us are now livid. His reason I had no idea , but my reason was he was embarrassing me in front of the pack members. Treating me like glass. They all picked up on the tension , because everyone literally ran off. Once we were alone , I confronted him. I wanted to know what his problem was. ” You better have a good reason for being mad right now, and it better not be for me jumping in and help fight to keep our pack safe ” I warned him. He looked away , which was a tell tail sign that was exactly what this was going to be. ” Your hurt ” he bit out. I looked at him confused. What does he mean I’m hurt ? Nothing on me was hurting.

He was back watching me and my confusion only seemed to piss him off more. ” Your face “, lifting my hand up, I wiped my face. When I pulled my hand away, there was b***d. Which had come from my cheek. ” It is just a scratch , I can’t even feel it “, I told him. ” What if it was not just a scratch, what if you had gotten hurt or . . . ” his words hung in the air. He seemed to stop himself and shook his head, looking mad at himself. ” Or what ? Dead ? ” I asked. His face darkened at the thought. ” Forget it ” he snapped and turned his back on me, ready to walk away.

” Awww is there trouble in paradise ?” A known female voice behind my back said. I was about to turn but something sharp came onto my back , and her arm went around my neck. ” Don’t b***h ” she hissed in my ear. ” Yianna “, I said through gritted teeth. Enzos’ eyes were yellow as he now looked back at us, ready to charge. ” Don’t move alpha , it will take me less than two seconds to drive this blade straight through her back and into her stomach. What would happen to the babies then ? ” I was struggling against her hold when what she said registered. I froze in my movements. Enzo looked sickly white , his eyes wide and he looked petrified. For the first time ever he looked truly scared.

” Babies ? ” I whispered. What babies? Yianna laughed ” Awww lover boy here had been keeping secrets from you. You have two little dogs growing in that stomach of yours. Why do you think he has been making sure you don’t leave his side ? You see , I have been coming to visit you both on a night while you sleep. Something, or should I say, someone is keeping me out of these pretty little minds of yours. It has been more than infuriating. But whoever it was couldn’t stop lover boy there talking in his sleep. About having to protect you , to protect your twins. It was most delightful to find out , because I was very upset when I realized you no longer had the magic I have been after for so many years. And the fact you burnt my castle down. It has taken me a few days to calm down , it took all my restraint to not just slit your throats while you slept. What do you think I have been sending my little cat friends here for ? Just for amusement ? Nope , I don’t play silly little games like that. They were merely a distraction so I could keep watching you, and that is when I figured out. You know nothing about those babies. So , unless you want her and your dogs dead , I suggest you get back to the person who took my magic. And you get it back or it’s quite simple. I cut out the dogs in her stoamch and send them to you. Say goodbye to lover boy ” she whispered in my ear.

I heard Enzo’s screams of despair long after we landed in the cave on the island. The one where Sianna used to go for solitude. The one no one was supposed to know about. I looked around to see Yianna sitting smugly on a chair. ” I have turned this little safe haven of Sianna’s into your new hell. Unfortunately, I can not take away your magic. You’re still too powerful for that. I can not spell the cave to keep you in because you’d find a way to break it down. You see, I can sense you have still kept a great deal of the magic. One would call me greedy, demanding it all , but after all of my hard work, I deserve it. That is why I am not just demanding what is left. What I can do, though, is give you an incentive to be a good girl and not use your magic or leave here” she smiled smugly at me.

The way she looked at me dropped dread into my stomach and it weighed heavy like lead. ” You see , the last lot of kitty cats that visited you today was so I could bring some friends ” she clicked her fingers. And a passed out Lorna dropped into the cave, my brothers mate. She had around her neck a weird looking collar device. Then she clicked them again and in came the alpha , Enzo’s dad, then one last time and Willow appeared. ” Those things on their necks are some nifty little devices. It stops them from using their abilities. And thanks to a little human invention, they have explosives in them and I have the remote. I made them myself. Now this little thing here ” she pulled a gem out of her pocket. ” I have spelled it to sense magic, and it makes this little gem here ” she pointed to a gem-looking thing attached to a bracket on her wrist. ” Well, it makes it heat up on my wrist if it senses magic being used. You use any magic , I simply press one of the buttons on our friends’ jewelry here and well, it’s goodnight for them”.

She stood up and I glared at her. ” I have also turned the water on the waterfall to acid. And I made sure there is no longer any gaps in the water for you to slide past anymore. Moved a few rocks up top and that fixed that problem. This acid is nasty. One drop will burn through skin and bone. So there is no way out. It took me a few days to find Sianna’s hiding place , but turns out all I needed all along was more magic to find it , and maybe a few hounds to sniff it out, as well as a tshirt of yours ” she shrugged. ” Humans are simpler creatures but like our bomb necklace , they do have some great ideas.” she finished smiling proudly.

“You’re a sick f*****g b***h ” I snapped at her. And she just threw her head back and laughed. ” That I am , now if you’ll excuse me. I recon the show back at your home when they realize our friends are gone, too will be quite the entertainment. Not to mention your mates , I recon he will be throwing the biggest fit, and to make sure he does as I ask. Toodaloo . And be good , we wouldn’t want any accidents and my finger to slip, would we? ” She pulled a device out of her pocket and left the gem on the chair before she disappeared. I fell to my knees as all the air left my lungs. Babies ? Twins ?
