It took all afternoon to get the pack ready to how we wanted it before summoning Yianna. Arranging the warriors , and making sure protection was still given to the protected houses. We called everyone that was fit to fight here too. We decided the mating grounds were a good place to do this. Well , close by. There was a huge opening, it was usually where the pack met for runs also. It took her away from the pack houses , and into an open space. It meant that the warlock women couldn’t get behind the protection of the spell the girls had placed on the houses. I was still wary , but I wasn’t about to keep questioning Anthea. Our mating wouldn’t be a very fun one if we didn’t start seeing eye to eye and she trusted them.

So Anthea made them promise to stay in the shadows of the forest surrounding the clearance. I hardly doubted they would , but if I saw an inkling of them trying to cause a threat to our family. I had already had a quiet word with Devon to see to it that they were taken out. Firya was tied up in the middle of the clearing. The girls surrounding her. Some of the dragons had disappeared and they would take to the sky any minute now to keep an eye out from above. Antheas’ dad had demanded he be there , and I was shocked to see her mum walk up there and stand by his side.

We had an army surrounding the girls. I only hoped that this time we had managed to out smart the b***h. The atmosphere was tense and everyone seemed to be quiet. I can only imagine that everyone was just trying to focus. Looking around, I couldn’t feel prouder right now. Of the pack , with so much changing in such a short time. The number of people here just showed that there were only a few rotten fruits within this pack.

My father stepped forward , with how quiet it already was. When he started speaking, his voice boomed out easily. ” What we are about to face is something I don;t believe this pack has ever faced. We have fought battles with other packs , even gone up against other paranormal and magic users in the past. We have always fought well and been victorious. But this one is different , yet the smallest enemy we have ever faced. We have fought hundreds , we have fought a few, but this time we are to fight only one. But this one has done more damage to our pack then anyone has ever done before. I had planned to hang up my privilege of being your Alpha t a more victorious and harmonious time. But with this many gathered and with this many ready to protect us without a second thought. I can see no better time. Your Luna is not here in the flesh as she protects our daughter. But she is here in my mind and in all of our hearts and she couldn’t agree more that this time , right here, right now. It is the perfect time to hand over the responsibility of your protection to my son and his new mate, Anthea. Son , please step forward and kneel before me ” he said, looking directly at me.

I looked at him in shock , this I had not been expecting. I think it was the shock of it that made me freeze. My father laughed at me. ” Hurry up son , before she decides to show up herself and prolong this. ” I looked at Anthea and she looked as shell shocked as me. Walking forward , I couldn’t believe that this was finally happening. The thing I had worked towards my whole damn life. ” Dad are you sure you want to do this now ? “I asked quietly when I got closer to him.

He placed his hand on my shoulder. ” Son , I should have done this weeks ago. You and Anthea have been the ones keeping this pack safe since it all started . You are the ones that will keep them safe today , as their Alpha and Luna. Now come on, hurry up , we will celebrate this properly later. When we get rid of her once and for all “, he gestured for me to kneel and then looked at Anthea and held his hand out too. ” You as well my dear “, he smiled.

She came out of the circle formation , and I saw Firya rolling her eyes. “Before she started shouting ” Really , you are all just going to make me wait here tied up like this. How f*****g pathetic you all are. She will kill you all. She is probably already watching. You all want to follow these two weak pieces of ” her words got cut off when Rhiala walked over and punched her in the face , causing her to fall off of her knees and onto her side. Knocking her out. When everyone turns to look at her she shrugs ” What ? ” she shrugs. ” You don’t need her conscious for her b***d , proceed ” she smiled and waved her hand at us. Making everyone laugh.

I held my hand out for Anthea and together we kneeled infornt of my dad. Anthea squeezed my hand and when I looked at her she was smiling at me. For a girl just a few weeks ago who was adamant she never wanted to be Luna , she sure as s**t had grown. The woman she had become was enough to make anyone proud , and I was defiantly proud to have her as my Luna. Thoughts of what I had before were long gone.

My dad smiles down at us and then raises his hands up. I took a deep breath. ” Moon goddess apologies for keeping this short. I thank you for the blessing of being the alpha of this amazing pack. Today I wish for you to agree with your blessing as I hand over this pack to my son Enzo “. My father steps forward and places his hands on each side of my head. ” I relinquish all of my duties , all of my extraordinary gifts of being connected to so many people. I name my son , the new alpha of this pack , and I could be no prouder. Moon goddess please approve of my son and transfer this title “, he looked up and closed his eyes, a peaceful smile on his face.

” I feel her ” he whispered , his small smile turning into a big grin. The small connection I had felt with the pack before , was nothing to the sweeping feeling that overcame me. I realised it was minimal. I felt every emotion , every thought. And this overwhelming feeling of pride. ” In the name of our missing Luna, tonight I transfer the duties of the luann to Anthea “, my father said. He removed his hands from my head and a small whoosh of diziness washed through me.

” It happens to us all, son , it passes quickly. You’ll also learn to close off all of the voices “, my dad says, bending down and whispering in my ear. I laugh and look up at him , he offers his hand to help me up. Once I was up , I turned and helped Anthea up. ” I will introduce you to your new Alpha and Luna ” my dad shouted, and the crowd applauded and roared, whistling and clapping. I pulled Anthea to me and smashed my lips against hers. Right now , was a perfect moment. Dad had chosen the right time to uplift peoples’ spirits before we did this.

Releasing Anthea from the k**s , I addressed my pack. “Thank you , I am honored. I promise you all of my actions and decisions made will always be with the best intentions for this pack. We will celebrate properly later , after we get rid of this threat to our pack “. I was more determined to get this over and done with now, more than ever. So we could start our new lives. ” Lets get rid of her baby ” I whispered to Anthea. And through our mind link I told her ” Please be careful , I love you “.

She told me she loved me back , and then turned and talked quietly to the girls. ” Once she gets here , don’t hesitate or mess around. All of these people may be here and willing to fight for us , but we can do this. It doesn’t have to turn ugly. I’ll hold her still , we all link her and then we send our magic at her full force. Any sign that she can actually handle all of that magic , we pull back and we all cast the spell to immobalise her. Then you know what to do “. Willow , Shira and Violet all nodded.

I watched on as Anthea walked forward. She pulled Firya’s head up. Who looked to just be coming around from the blow to the head Rhiala had given her. ” When you kill her and I get my magic back , I will carry on with what we started. I will kill all of you ” she slurred. Anthea shook her head slightly. ” That is a shame , because that has just sealed your fate too. You should learn to control yourself, Firya , when not to open your mouth. You see, I have the greatest gift in the world waiting for me when this is all done with a family. So , my time of seeing the best in people is gone. If you are a threat, then you must be eliminated. “

What Anthea did next , shocked me and made me proud. You see, the life of a wolf is not always pretty. We do not abide by human laws that murder is murder. No matter if that person deserved it or not , they still punish them that eliminated that badness. Here , we only punish a death done in vein , for no purpose. This had a purpose , and reason. In Anthea’s hand a blade appeared , she pulled her arm back and thrust it into Firya’s stomach. Firya gasped , a gargling sound. Anthea pulled the knife out and dropped Firya to the floor, who was now gasping and breathing fast. Her hands clutched her stomach and became bloody.

Then she took the blade to the other girls and they all hovered their hands over it , and started chanting. This was it , she would have to finally face us , face to face.
