I felt her fighting against us. She was trying her hardest to not be brought here. Closing my eyes , I asked my babies for their help. I felt a little daft doing it , but when I did, that feeling washed over me again. ” She’s coming “, I shouted out loud, opening my eyes. Before us appeared a very pissed-off looking Yianna. I didn’t waste time , I moved what I was doing to immobilizing her. But she looked unfazed , she looked around the crowd with mirth. ” You think I didn’t think of this ? That you would assemble your army of mutts against me. What else do you think I went to the council for “, she looked up as the sound of the dragons roared above us .

” They don’t belong to us ” Ryken shouted as three dragons swooped above us. ” What ? ” Enzo shouted and Ryken pointed up. ” They are not us ” he said, and a massive screech sounded in the air as one of the dragons opened its mouth. ” Take cover ” Rhiala shouted. Wolves started to shift , as a massive flame came out of the dragon’s mouth and scorched the trees below it. Setting them alight. ” Panthers ” someone at the back of the crowd shouted and all hell broke loose. More dragons flew above us and started fighting the ones Ryken said were not ours.

” Stick to the plan ” I shouted at the girls. I attempted to immobilize her again. But she threw her hands up and something blocked me from doing it. Yianna’s eyes were down on her sister , who was barely alive now. When she glanced back up at me , her eyes flashed with hatred. ” I watched you bring your army up here. I watched you get crowned Luna. I watched you drive your blade through her, not one ounce of hesitation. Could it be innocent Anthea , isn’t so innocent at all ? ” She looked past me , and she squinted her eyes.

” ANTHEA ” Enzo shouted. I looked back to see him , the alpha and Devon went flying threw the air across the opening. ” First rule , never show your opponent your whole capabilities. You think I stopped at my sister and those warlock bitches. I have been gathering magic from whoever or whatever witch I could find. ” She snapped behind me . I looked back and she sent the girls flying too , her eyes set solely on me. She dropped her hands and came stalking towards me. ” Now I will take those things you carry in your stomach “. A blade appeared in her hand. I started backing up away from her , I don’t know where she got these panters and dragons. Or where she had been hiding them for them to be here so soon. But there were hundreds of panthers and nearly everyone was caught up in their own fight for survival right now.

But one wolf I recognized was running up behind Yianna. My mother , she headed straight for her with determination. She leap in the air and landed herself on Yianna’s back , and started trying to snap at her neck. But Yianna didn’t need strength. She raised my mum up off of her and squeezed her hand into her fist as my mum’s Wolf hovered above her head suspended. I heard sickening cracks of bone and my mum’s wolf started a sickening whine. ” STOP IT ” I shouted , as fear rushed through me. I pulled on my babies magic again and chanted the immobilizing spell at Yianna. This time it did something. Yianna didn’t stop moving but she did drop my mum , like it weakened her. My mum’s wolf rolled my way as it hit the floor, she shifted back and her face was screwed up in pain , her body sweaty.

My dad appeared in front of us , he was frantically looking at my mum. I looked down horrified at the dark purple bruising that was already appearing all over her torso. ” Dad get her out of here , it looks like she’s internally bleeding ” I said frantically. I cast the pain spell again from the cave as I saw Yianna start to come at me again. She dropped to her knees , but she didn’t scream out or look in pain. Just winded. What the hell had she been doing to herself?

” I can’t leave you ” my dad said and I shook my head. ” I’ll be fine get mum out of here “, he looked torn. So , I did what I could only think of doing and I ordered him to. I pulled Alpha on him. ” DAD I ORDER YOU TO TAKE HER AND GET OUT OF HERE ” I shouted at him. I could see him try to resist , his face scrunched up and twisted. ” NOW ” I ordered. He loses the fight and scoops my mum up. ” Wait ” my mum croaked out. She turns her head to look at me. ” I .. I am sorry. All I wanted to do ” she coughed, and screamed out in pain. But she gasped, trying to finish. ” I .. only thing I ever wanted was to protect you. I .. may not have shown you. I know I didn’t, but I love you. And I am proud. I was just so, ” she coughed again. I kept one eye on Yianna , and she was fighting my spell. ” So .. ashamed , not of you , of me. And I didn’t know how to change. I should have been a mum to you. You concentrate on your love for those babies and you’ll find the strength you need to win her ” she finished as she turned sickly white.

” DAD GO ” I ordered. I can’t really process anything right now. Definitely not that. Enzo came running back to my side in his wolf , and his wolf was soaked in b***d, which told me he had to fight his way up here. ” Link her Anthea ” Sianna said. ” It won’t be enough , the girls I don’t know where they are ” I frantically looked around for them and they were trying to get back up here , but panthers were targeting them. It hit me , Yianna has most likely made everyone I needed around me as targets. To isolate me. Why would she do that ?

” Anthea “. I heard my name being shouted. I looked to see Dataneye and the other females making their way over. What were they doing ? They couldn’t fight or protect themselves. ” Around her neck she has a protection pendant around her neck . You are getting through that , but only slightly because of your power. Get that off of her. She is trying to trick you on how powerful she is ” she shouted at me , before I saw a panther jump into their path. They all stopped , with fear on their faces. ” Enoz go help them ” I said, but his stubborn big wolf head shook it side to side, saying no. ” Enzo please ” I said, looking back to see Yianna getting back to her feet.

He wouldn’t leave me. I knew he wouldn’t. I couldn’t see them die for me though. ” Enozo please ” I said again. And he looked between me and them . ” Please ” I asked him again. The panther was stalking towards them now , and they were backing up. ” Now Enzo ” the big wolf growled its displeasure and took off. ” Stupid bitches “, Yianna sneered in their direction. But my eyes were now on the pendant that was indeed around her neck.

” You accuse us of tricks , it is you who has used tricks from the beginning ” I shouted at her. ” They are right , that pendant is protecting her from our magic , she didn’t have it on in the cave. She has learnt her lesson from us “, Sianna said. The question was how did I get it off of her neck. ” Or it’s just my tricks are smarter than yours will ever be “, she shouted back at me.

She lifted her hand , and I felt a stabbing pain in my stomach. ” Once I have those . I will be unstoppable ” she said , slowly walking forward. ” The babies ” Sianna whispered in despair. ” She is trying to get their magic “, she added. The pain was so excruciating , I dropped to my knees gripping my stomach , a painful howling scream ripped from my lips. It was so painful , I couldn’t concentrate on keeping the spell on her going.

” Anthea ” I heard Violets shout. I managed to see her running at us. ” SHE’S KILLING THE BABIES ” I shouted through the screams. Violet raised her hands , I saw her as my vision started to blur , that her eyes turned black. A dark cloud of smokey fog came from her hands and spread like it was alive across the grass and surrounded Yianna. ” Violet no ” I gasped . But she shook her head. ” Get up Anthea ” was all she said back. The pain in my stomach disappeared. As Yianna started gripping her neck and coughing.

” Where here ” Willow said, running up to the side of Violet , Shira by her side. I felt weak and had no energy.Strong hands gripped my arm. I looked up to see my brother Peter helping me up. ” Sorry it took so long , those panthers are out of their minds crazy ” he told me. ” More than likely, she compelled them as well as those dragons too “, I whimpered out. Enzo came to my other side looking at me worried. ” Are you OK ? ” he asked, fussing over me. I waved him off. ” Yea , yea I’m OK. Let’s finish this , she has on a pendent that is protecting her from us linking her “, I told them.

Enzo looked at the black smoke washing around her. ” How do we get in there ? “he asked. “Devon , my magic can not work on him. He can go in , but we need to hurry. This is only working because it attacks her physically. And it drains me. I can’t keep it up for long ” Violet said. We looked around and saw Devon , he had two panthers on him and he was fighting them off. I drew on the babies , and was relieved when I felt the magic still there and sent the panthers flying. Devon’s wolf looked around confused. ” Devon, get here, we need your help “, Enzo shouted to Devon’s Wolf. Devon ran at us and shifted mid change.

” You need to go in there and rip that necklace from around her neck “, Enzo told him. He looked at Enzo like he had lost his mind. ” She looks like she’s choking to death , just leave her in there ” he said like it was that simple. ” Violet is doing it look , she can’t keep it up. Her magic wont affect you , go in and get it ” Enzo snapped, immediately at him. Devon looked at his mate , and she was breathing heavily now. It was taking all of her strength to keep it up. He went running in through the blackness. You could just see his shadow. The pendent necklace came through the air as he threw it out of the fog. But he didn’t come out. ” Where is he ? ” I asked no one in particular. I bent and picked the pendent up and watched for him to come out. Violet’s strength finally gave in and when the fog pulled back.

Yianna was standing up , her hands were on Devons’ head and she had her lips smashed into his lips. His hands lay limp by his sides , his body motionless. Stook eerily still. I looked at Violet and she was looking on. She looked to be believing this. ” Violet, look at him , this is her, not him “, I shouted to her. She looked at me , then slowly back. The broken down expression turned into rage as she assessed his body language. ” Let him go Yianna , this is over “I told her.

She pulled back, grinning, but didn’t take her hands off of his head. ” If any of you make a move I will fry his mind, he will be nothing but a breathing corpse , give me the magic “.
