Chapter 106

Elena’s POV

I will find out who has talked to London. I know her, and she is not a brat, but someone must have something to do with her acting like a brat—someone I do not want to get near her again. I will ask the she-wolves to keep an eye on her. They will soon tell me who keeps visiting her. We will keep an eye on her house. I will also talk with Miriam and ask her if she knows something. I call my girls, and they are ready to protect their Queen and her sister. They will keep an eye on London for the next couple of days. I want to know who is talking to her and see if her attitude changes again when someone speaks to her. I need to find out who is putting her up to this.

“You called me, advisor,” Mariam says behind me. I almost fell from my chair as I did not hear her coming in.

“Mariam, you almost gave me a heart attack,” I say. She laughs. Mariam is one of my oldest friends. I have known her since I saved her and her mother from the cabin they were staying in.

“I saw you were deep in thought, Elena,” Mariam says.

“Yeah, we have a problem. London came here this morning wanting titles and acting like a brat. I know someone put her up to this, but I do not know who and why,” I say.

“Hmm, I see. Then we must find out who it is and why they are putting her up to this. Maybe someone is not happy with the new Kingdom. I will look into this,” Mariam says.

“Yeah, I asked the girls to keep an eye on her so we can find out who is visiting her and who is playing mind games with London,” I say. I tell Mariam what has happened this morning and how upset the Queen is about it.

“We can not let anyone upset our Queen and try to divide the Kingdom again,” Mariam says.

“I agree. I want you to find out if it is not a witch,” I ask.

“I will visit London and see if any magical creature visits her,” Mariam says.

“That would be great! If it is a magical influence, we must stop it immediately and protect her from magic,” I say.

“I will cast a spell to protect her anyway, but I do not think anyone can cast a spell on her as she is a … oh, I just remembered she is not royalty anymore, so maybe the spell is not working on her anymore. I will protect her and her family from magic anyway,” Mariam says. We talk a while longer before she gets up to visit London.

“Thank you,” I say. I am relieved that Mariam will help and protect London and her family. I will tell Paris because she was worried about her sister and her family. I walk to the Queen’s office and hear her talking to Walker before I knock. I do not want to disturb them, so I turn around and go to Jeff’s office. His door is open, and I knock on the door. He looks up from work in front of him.

“How did you know I was missing you? Do you have secret magical powers that you are not telling off?” Jeff asks. I know he is teasing me, and I love it. He is so handsome. I walk into the office and close the door behind me.

“No magical powers, but I do love you and can feel it when you miss me,” I tease. Jeff gets up and takes me into his arms, and k****s me. I am happy that I have him as a mate.

“The King and Queen are having a feast tonight, and they say they have an important announcement. I hope there is a baby on the way,” Jeff says.

“It can not be anything else! I can not wait for them to have a pup. London is acting strangely, and we must keep an eye on her, but I do not know who is influencing her,” Elena says. Jeff frowns.

“She is not coming up with that title bullshit again, is she? I told her I would not give them a title, and she stormed out of my office. I saw her going into the Queen’s office. Was she a brat to the Queen?” Jeff asks.

Elena’s POV

“Yes, but the Queen’s grandmother set her straight, and she became the old London again,” I say.

“Good, but I do not trust her. I do not know what is going on with London,” Jeff says.

“My girls and I are on it. Do not worry. We will find out who is influencing her,” I say.

“Good, I can not stand this bratty behavior of hers,” Jeff says.

“Well, I also asked Miriam to protect her from magic,” I say.

“Is that necessary?” Jeff asks.

“She is not royal anymore, so Miriam thinks someone can influence her with magic,” I say.

“Oh, yes, I forgot,” Jeff says.

“I think we all forgot,” I say. We walk to the window and look at the garden, where everyone is busy preparing for the feast. All the wolf packs around here and some that have not gone home yet will be attending. I can see Walker’s mother and Paris’ father overlooking everything. I wonder if the same person who got to London also got to them. They do not look happy, and I am sure they are up to no good.

“We need to protect Alicia and Carl as well. One never knows who got to them,” Jeff says.

“I forgot about them. I will mind-link Meriam now,” I say.

“I already have. She will do it as soon as she is done with London, but she says she does feel a magical creature is involved. I hope it is not someone too powerful,” Jeff says. There is a knock on the door, and Aldo and Dakota walk in when Jeff tells them to enter.

“Advisors, we are glad to find both of you here. We picked up a wolf with magical powers. She is not part of the Kingdom but uses his magic, so we can not detect her in the Kingdom. I feel she is powerful and up to no good. We do not know who it is, but we came to warn you that we think they may be related to John and Oliver,” Aldo says.

“Hmm, that may explain a lot,” I say.

“Miriam also picked up the powerful magical wolf. We think she grew up with dark witches as she used dark magic,” Dakota says.

“We need to find her as soon as possible. We can not let her run around the Kingdom and influence the wolves. She can cause a rebellion,” Jeff says.

“The gypsies and we have put a spell on the Kingdom’s wolves so they can not be affected by magic, but we do not know how powerful this wolf is and if she can get through our magical barriers,” Aldo says.

“Good job. I am sure she can not break the barriers of the wolves because the gypsy’s magic combined with your shaman’s magic and Mariam’s magic will be too strong for her. We need to find her, and I do not want her near the King and Queen,” I say.

“We are on the lookout for her. We know it is a witch and not a warlock. We can feel the bond between Oliver and John. It could have been one of their children,” Dakota says.

“Well, that will not surprise me. My father was never faithful,” I say.

“Wait, Elena, she will be family to you as well,” Jeff says.

“Oh, of course,” I say.

“Can you use Elena’s b***d to trace her?” Jeff asks.

“Yes, we can. We will go and get the gypsies, and I think she will put up a fight to prevent us from tracking her,” I say. Mariam walks in, and I can see she is furious.

“Well, London is bratty, but I protect her and her family from magic,” Mariam says.

“We also protected her and her family as they are part of the wolves of the Kingdom, but one can only hope it helps,” Dakota says.

“Yeah, well, double protection is always good. Did you tell them we found out about the magical wolf?” Mariam asks.

“Yes, Elena is John’s daughter, so we can use her b***d to trace this wolf,” Aldo says.

“Yeah, that is why I came back so quickly. We need to find the wolf. Go get the gypsies, as she will put up a fight,” Mariam says. Aldo and Dakota run out to go and fetch as many gypsies as they can find. As they leave, Mariam walks towards me.

“I need some of your b***d. I can fight her myself. She is not stronger than me, as I have easily broken her spell on London. London initially made me furious, and she was acting like a brat again,” Mariam says.

“Are you sure?” I ask.

“How do you know me, Elena?” Mariam says with a smile.

“I know you are powerful! Dakota and Aldo think she is mighty tough,” I say.

“Only because I want them to use their full magical powers to protect the Kingdom. I told them she is very powerful, but in truth, she is not as powerful as they all think, but I do not know if she has help from the dark witches,” Mariam says.

“Hmm, I have not seen any dark witches or warlocks during our fight with Mikhail or after that,” Jeff says.

“None of us have, and that is why I am worried. I do not think the dark witches and warlocks are happy about the Kingdom as they can not use as much of nature with werewolves around. They know werewolves work with white witches, wizards, gypsies, and other magical creatures. They are afraid, and honestly, I think they will do anything to bring the Kingdom down,” Mariam says.

“The dark magical powers will try and do that, I know. I think that is why they sent the she-wolf to us, as she is a werewolf and a dark witch. I think they are protecting her from being discovered, but I want to see if I can take them all on,” Miriam says. Jonathan walks in, and he frowns.

“Honey, I do not like this. What if they hurt you?” Jonathan asks.

“They can not hurt me. I am under the protection of the spell we cast over the Kingdom and all its wolf packs,” Mariam says.

“Fine, but if you are in danger, I am pulling you out,” Jonathan says. Since he and Mariam became mates, he has magical powers, and Mariam is still training him to become a powerful magical wolf. Mariam told me all about it when we were alone the other day. I am glad Jonathan is here, and he can at least pull Mariam out of a magical battle if he needs to. Jeff walks to his table and gets a map of the Kingdom and surrounding areas. We worked hard on the new map and are proud of our efforts. Our book is also coming along nicely. I cut myself with a silver knife and drop my b***d on the map. We have a lot of copies of the map, and we can use this one for a spell. Mariam walks closer to the table, but before she can begin the spell, she looks at my b***d and smiles.

“Congratulations, I see you two are going to have pups,” Mariam says.

“Pups?” Jeffrey and I ask simultaneously.

“Yeah, there is evidently more than one pup in there,” Mariam says as she points to my stomach.

“Oh, the Moon Goddess is not funny! She promised me we would have lots of pups. I hope she did not decide to give them to us all simultaneously,” Jeff says. I laugh but feel nervous. Mariam and Jonathan laugh, and I hope it is not more than two.
