Rejected, Broken And Forgotten -
Chapter 111
Third Person’s POV
Ursula is with the other witches. She is furious as she has not heard from her daughter, Nina, in a few days. What is she up to? If she gets her hands on that sorry excuse of a daughter of hers, she will kill her personally. The other witches are angry at her for sending Nina to the werewolf Kingdom. She only learned about the Kingdom and its whereabouts from the wolves she met when she and her witches returned to Europe. She knew there was a werewolf Kingdom but did not know where it was. The stupid Mikhail got himself killed! If only he had not refused their help and was not so paranoid about magical creatures! She and the witches returned to their worst nightmare. The werewolves were united! They know how strong the werewolves are when united, and they will not tolerate any form of darkness near their packs or Kingdom.
“We should never have sent your stupid daughter to the Kingdom. I bet she is already dead!” Clara, one of the elders, says. She hates Nina because Nina has grown stronger than her. Clara would have taken over the coven, but Ursula is too powerful! Clara looks at Ursula, who is frowning. She hates Ursula for sleeping with a damn werewolf, but she can do nothing about it. It was fun until the bloody hybrid got too strong for all of them, and they could not bully her anymore. Ursula is the only one that can still kick Nina’s a*s, and it is only because they do not train Nina as they train the other young witches.
“I know we made a mistake, but who cares if the werewolves killed her? She is a dead loss to the coven anyway. She will never become the head of our coven, as I do not want her to take charge after I die,” Ursula says. She never loved her daughter. Nina was always an embarrassment to her. Yes, she fell in love with John and had his child. Ursula thought he would return to her if she had his child. John never returned and told her to take her bastard and get lost, as he was not even sure the child was his. He told her he had a lot of mistresses and she was not important to him. Ursula’s heart broke that day, but she swore revenge on all the werewolves. She had the bloody baby and could not kill her, although she never loved her.
“Yeah, well, we do not have to worry about her anymore unless she is still alive and now working with the werewolves of the Kingdom,” Monica, another elder, says.
“Ha! She is too stupid to go against me. She is afraid of me, and I will teach her a lesson if she does,” Ursula says.
“What if she found her mate?” Clara asks.
“Yeah, all werewolves have mates,” Monica says.
“No one will look at her! The werewolves do not mix with dark creatures,” Ursula says.
“That is true! Her mate will regret her. Maybe that is why we have not heard from her. Maybe she became a rogue,” Clara says.
“I will call her tonight. We have to move closer to that Kingdom! The werewolves with us have recruited all the old royals who will send their armies to fight with us,” Ursula says.
“Do you trust these werewolves? Why are you always involved with werewolves?” Clara asks.
“Well, if you have a better plan to take down the werewolf Kingdom, let us hear it, Clara,” Ursula says. Clara looks away, as she does not want to anger Ursula.
“Clara, we also have the vampires angry about Mikhail’s death fighting with us. Many lost their mates and friends when Mikhail died as they were of his bloodline and that of his wife,” Monica says. She will also work with vampires rather than werewolves, but will not speak out against Ursula. Ursula is a potent witch and can destroy all of them. She is heartless and will kill her whole coven, so she does not have to give up her position. The vampires only joined them a few days ago. Even if the hybrid works with the werewolves, she will not know about the vampires, which will surprise her. Ursula does not even love her own daughter, so why would she care about the witches?
As night falls, Ursula picks up her phone to call Nina. She can not locate her through magic, as the werewolves of the Kingdom are protected against magic, but Ursula does not know that, and she thinks it must be because Nina is hiding from the wolves or is in trouble.
“Hello, mother,” Nina answers when her phone rings. Miriam and Ace are standing close to Nina. A few days after the party, the werewolves await the attack on their Kingdom.
“I thought you were dead! Why have you not contacted me? You are letting me down again, Nina,” Ursula says.
“I have been busy. The royals and their family are fighting, and I think half the werewolves will turn against their King and Queen if I keep going like this. You told me to cause trouble between the wolves. I have to hide that I am not from the Kingdom and that I have dark magic in me,” Nina lies.
“That is good news, so that is why I can not trace you! You are becoming more powerful, Nina. You are hiding your magic and using your magic so no one can trace you, even with a spell using my b***d,” Ursula says.
“I am trying my best,” Nina says.
“Do you think I am stupid? What is going on there? You are not more powerful than I am! You little bastard! You are a weakling, and you are useless to me! Do not even bother to return to the coven if you are with the werewolves. I will kill you myself!” Ursula shouts. Nina listens to her mother, but unlike before, she is stronger now, and her mother can not upset her anymore. Mariam and Ace have been training her. She is learning shaman magic with white witch magic. Mariam is impressed, as Nina is a fast learner and is getting stronger by the day.
“No, mother, I do not think you are stupid, and I am not hiding anything from you. I am doing as you told me,” Nina says, and it sounds like she is about to cry. She has to play her part. Her mother must think that she is still humble and afraid of her. She wants to surprise her mother the day they attack. She wants to kill her mother for all the hardship and misery she has faced her whole life! She can not stand the woman she is talking to now.
“Hmm, still the weakling! When are you going to get a backbone? You are disgusting,” Ursula says.
“Don’t kick me out of the coven, please, mother! Where will I go?” Nina pretends to cry.
“Shut up! I will think about it if you do a good job!” Ursula shouts and hangs up.
“b***h! I can not wait to challenge and kill her,” Nina says.
“Well, I think you fooled her,” Miriam says. They know that Ursula and her witches are in Russia. Mirriam calls Luca and warns him that the dark witches are close to them and that he needs to get the gypsies to help him protect his vampires against their magic.
“I know they are here, but they are confused as they do not see that we can walk in the day now. They got near the castle, but the gypsies were ready for them and protected us against their magic. They do not know we are vampires as we walk in the day now,” Luca laughs. They talk for a while, and Miriam hangs up, happy that Luca and his vampire Kingdom are safe.
Back at the coven, the dark witches are confused as they go to Mikhail’s castle but cannot find vampires. Did the werewolves kill all of them? They thought Luca and his siblings had turned against their father, but they could find them nowhere. Ursula smiles. They know that the vampires die when the one that turned them dies, so all the vampires at the castle must have died when Mikhail died. That is the only explanation she has.
“Well, it is a shame that we can not get near the castle as the stupid gypsies moved in there,” Monica says.
“Have you talked to your daughter?” Clara asks.
“I have, and she is still the pathetic little loser she always was. She cried about me wanting to kick her out of the coven, but I am unsure. I feel she is keeping something from me, but I do not know what. Maybe her mission is not as successful as she pretends it is. Maybe the wolves are not falling for her tricks,” Ursula says.
“I will not be surprised if she fails. She was never that clever,” Clara says. The witches did not know that Nina was pretending to be stupid so that they would leave her alone. It did not always work, but sometimes they got mad at her stupidity and left her alone.
“Sometimes I wonder if she is really that stupid,” Monica says. Ursula and Clara laugh.
“She is! Although she is my daughter, she must have her father’s stupidity,” Ursula says. She always considered John stupid because he did not choose her when he had the chance and stayed with the stupid Luna, who did not care for him as she knew about his affairs and let him continue.
“You were always in love with John. I think you want to go to war with the wolves to avenge his death,” Clara says. Monica rolls her eyes. Will Clara ever learn? Does she want to die today?
“Clara, keep your mouth shut! Ursula knows what she is doing and is not going to war because of a stupid wolf. We are going to war because the wolves are a danger to us. You and I know that the werewolves will come after us now that they have no other enemy. I do not know what your problem is today, but you better stop, or I will stop it for you,” Monica says. She is preventing her friend from getting killed.
“Yeah, you are courageous today, Clara. Do you want to die?” Ursula asks. It is almost ten at night. It was a long day and a long week for the witches. They know they will fight the Kingdom soon and better attack before the stupid hybrid gets caught and tells the werewolves everything.
“We should not have sent that stupid daughter of yours. What if she blows our surprise attack?” Clara says. Ursula does not get angry this time as she worries about Nina getting caught. She knows her daughter is not clever enough to lie and escape trouble. Maybe she should call Nina and tell her to come home. She can not do that because she will be stuck with Nina till death. She can not kill her as Nina is the only thing she has left of John. If Nina dies in the Kingdom, she will not see it, and it will not bother her as much. John was her only true love. She knew she loved him and was stupid about it, but she could not help herself. He is the one she always wanted.
“What do you want me to do? Order her to come home?” Ursula asks.
“No! She can die alone in the woods somewhere! I do not want her here! She is a disgrace to our coven,” Clara says.
“Well, then, let the wolves kill her, and we will be rid of her without her becoming our problem,” Ursula says.
“Yeah, I am glad we do not have to kill her. You know that gypsy that visited us that night she was born warned us not to try to kill her as we would feel her wrath. I think it was Selene, and you know Selene hates us because we do not pray to her but to the dark gods. Let the werewolves get the wrath of Selene,” Monica says. Clara and Ursula have not forgotten that night and still feel the chills running down their spines as they think of the gypsy. Being John’s child was one reason Ursula had not killed Nina yet, and the other was Selene’s warning on the night of her birth.
