Rejected, Broken And Forgotten -
Chapter 118
Paris’ POV
We have stopped the evil wolves and vampires who attacked our Kingdom. We know we must get the other royals before they can even consider going against us again. I wish this were all over because Walker and I will introduce our little pup to the world in about five months. Because I am a werewolf, I only carry my baby for six months. I can not wait for my baby to arrive, but we must go after the other kingdoms and ensure they do not cause any more trouble for us. I am ready, pissed off, and we send a message worldwide warning the different kingdoms that we are coming for them. All the kingdoms do not want us to go after them, so they ask if they can come and see us to work out our differences. They know they do not have enough wolves to fight us. We agreed and told them to meet us in the Kingdom on the first of the month. It is still a week from the first, so it will give them time to be here on time. I know they want to keep their kingdoms, but we can not allow it because Selene wants all her children to unite. We also do not want them to grow stronger again or use rogues to do their dirty work and attack our people from the Kingdom of Wessex.
We must destroy those who do not want to become part of our Kingdom, as we have enough selfish wolves who want to enrich themselves by making their wolves work for them and fight their wars. To us, wolves are born free and should remain free. Our packs do not have to give any of their money to us as we have businesses we are running. The wolves working for us get paid a lot of money as we do not want to use them to enrich us, but we want to build them up and ensure no wolves are poor or left behind.
We prepare everything for the first, knowing what to expect, as the royals are all self-centered and egotistical. They think they are still important, although they only have a few packs left in their kingdoms. We will let those packs decide if they want to join us or if they want to fight us. We can not take any chances with wolfpacks that want to live on their own and try to grow bigger, as they will let any bad wolf into their packs as long as their numbers increase so they can attack us one day. We know how dangerous that will be for our Kingdom and may even split the Kingdom. We have learned from the past and self-proclaimed kings like John, and we know they cause trouble for the Kingdom and want to break it.
In this Kingdom, every pack that joins us has its grounds to run, and we let them all have an input into the ruling of the Kingdom. We are not dictators, and every pack has a vote before we make any decisions that will affect the Kingdom. The wolves appreciate it, and we help packs that struggle. We also fight with our packs to keep them safe, and if any of them have problems with hunters, dark witches, warlocks, vampires, or even rogues, we go to help them. Every pack and its Alpha have their own set of rules, and as long as an Alpha and his Luna do not abuse their wolves, we do not intervene in the pack’s running. Basically, we are only here to look after the wolves, protect them and provide for them.
The days go by fast, and before we know it, the kings and queens of the other kingdoms arrive for the meeting. We are ready for them, and they are all dressed up as if they are going to a social gathering rather than a kingdom business. The kings are dressed in uniforms with medals as they have fought in wars. We know they are not very brave, so I smile as I look at them. They look down on Walker and me because we were not born royals, and it is obvious that they do not see us as such. Jeffrey looks them up and down as they walk in. I know he knows most of them as he must have dealt with them and their families before.
“Why all the medals? It is not like you fought in any wars! Are you here to brag about what your wolves have accomplished? You do not impress anyone. We all know you are a bunch of cowards that live a luxurious life while your wolves work and fight for you,” Jeffrey says.
“How dare you speak to us like that?” One of the so-called kings says.
“Jeffrey will speak to you as he pleases,” Walker says. He looks the kings and queens up and down as Jeffrey does. I can not help but smile. Walker and I are dressed casually, as we will not wear medals and s**t like that. It is for humans, and werewolves do not need to show their accomplishments with medals. Our scars are the only medals we need.
“Well, we are not going to waste your time. Either you become part of the Kingdom or tell us now what you want to do,” I say.
“We are not joining your stupid Kingdom,” One of the queens says.
“I was not talking to you, and I was talking to your packs,” I say.
“They have no say! We are the only ones with a say in our Kingdom,” One of the other kings shouts.
“Well, in this Kingdom, it does not work like this. Here, the only ones with a say are the wolves. We may be called King and Queen, but we are the servants of our people,” I say. I am already pissed off, and the packs with the kings and queens look confused.
“You do not have to fear these kings and queens. You are in our Kingdom, and you decide what happens to you and your pack members. We can not allow any packs or kingdoms to exist outside this one, and we do not want to repeat past mistakes,” Walker says. I nod, and Jeffrey takes the wolves outside to talk to them alone and explain the Kingdom and how our laws work to the wolf packs.
I look at the royals. It is evident that they will not give in to us and think they can manipulate their way out of this. They are looking down on us, and I know they think they are better than us. I look them in the eyes, and I can see uncertainty and fear in their eyes. I know they are not as brave as they pretend to be. We are all waiting for Jeffrey to return to hear what the packs say. It is all in their hands now. If they vote to join the Kingdom, the royals will have no say and can choose to fall under our rule or to try and fight their way out of the Kingdom.
“You tricked us! We would not have come here if we knew you would turn our wolves against us. That is why you wanted us to meet you here and did not want to come to another meeting spot,” One of the kings shouts.
“We did not force you to come here. You came out of your own free will,” Walker says.
“You said you would attack our kingdoms if we did not come,” Another king says.
“We would have, and it was not a false claim,” I say. We look at the kings and queens and their children that have been living in luxury while their wolves suffered. Some of the wolves are old and tired of working. We do not let our older wolves work or fight. We allow them to retire and will ask for their advice from time to time to make them feel like they are still part of the pack and have something to give.
“You mistreated your wolves, and we will give you the choice of what to do about you. Your lands will fall under this Kingdom if the wolves decide not to protect you anymore. The wolves will work the land for themselves and get the money. You can either become normal wolves and work like the rest of us, or you can die,” Walker says. Jeffrey walks in.
“The wolves have voted to join the Kingdom. They say the royals have to work like all of them, and the wealth of the royals will be divided among the pack of each Kingdom. Should the royals refuse to become normal wolves, we must execute them,” Jeffrey says. I smile.
“The wolves have spoken, so it is up to you to decide what you want to do,” I say.
“I want to speak to my wolves,” A king shouts. He will try to intimidate them and threaten them. These royals are so entitled that they do not realize they are in deep trouble. They think they can leave here and return to their previous lives.
“The wolves are busy getting to know the other packs and do not have time to talk to you. We are also giving them food and drinks. Something you did not think of,” Jeffrey says. He looks disgusted with these so-called royals.
“We gave you a choice, so you better make it,” Walker says.
“I would rather die than become a common wolf,” A queen shouts.
“Your wish is my command,” I say. I walk over to her, and before anyone knows what is about to happen, I rip her heart out, and her lifeless body falls on the ground.
“Anyone else?” Walker asks. They look at us, and I can see fear in their eyes. Her mate looks at her body, and I know he does not feel a thing, as they were not real mates, and their marriage must have been arranged.
“We will become common wolves, but I am not happy about it,” The King that lost his Queen says.
“We did not ask if you were happy about it or not. The plane you came in will be sold. We will fly you back to your Kingdom, and you may take your stuff out of the castle, but no jewelry or any other valuables as they belong to the wolves of the Kingdom. Your castles will become packhouses, and my men will stay there until we are sure the packs of your Kingdoms have all your riches,” Walker says. I can see the disappointment on the royals’ faces. I know they thought they could flee with some money and live in luxury among their human friends. But it will not work like that. The wolves of the kingdoms will need the money they have worked for to start fresh and become part of the Kingdom.
“It is our money. You can not take it from us,” A King shouts.
“You want to die?” I ask.
“No, but we want our money. We worked for it,” A Queen shouts.
“You did not work a day in your life, and you know it. As we said, the money and valuables belong to the old kingdoms’ wolves. They are the ones that worked for it and do not think for one moment you will become Alphas and Lunas, you will all be omegas, and you will have to work if you want to eat. The wolves have their Alphas and Lunas, and they will stay in command of their packs,” I say.
“This is unfair! What about our clothing?” One of the Princesses asks. She can at least try to get a wealthy man and marry for money and help her family that way.
“You take nothing. You will work for what you want and marry your mates. I do not want to hear about arranged marriages, and you are marrying a human that is not your mate for money,” Walker says. We invite the packs’ Alphas in and tell them that the royals are only omegas from now on. They will sign over all their wealth to the Alphas, and our men will help them to adjust and show them how to run their pack while being part of our Kingdom. We invite them and their packs into the Kingdom, and now all the pack wolves are united under one Kingdom. Only the lone wolves and the rogues have not joined us, but they know they are welcome to join any time they want to, or they can try and make trouble and die.
