Rejected, Broken And Forgotten -
Chapter 70
Third person’s POV
Cadilla and Luca are impressed with the King and Queen of the werewolves. They know most of the werewolf pack will start talking and leaving their kingdoms here in Europe to join the King and Queen of the new Kingdom. These two are warriors and will do anything to protect any innocent creatures. Luca and Cadilla wanted to see them fight, and no other wolf interfered in their fight against the gray as they must have a lot of confidence in their King and Queen. Even Jeff is a little stunned. Never has he seen two wolves fight together as they do. To kill a gray is not something anyone can do, even if you are two against one. The gypsies are all quiet. The gray and the dogmen tormented them, but the gray was the worst. He was there for years, and no one could do anything about him. No one was brave or strong enough to take him on. They only asked for help with the dogmen as they thought the gray was too strong even for a pack of wolves, but the King and Queen killed him as he was nothing and they were fast. Faster than the average werewolf.
“I do not know about anyone that killed a gray before,” Cadilla says as she looks at the two wolves covered in the b***d of the gray.
“Oh, are they that dangerous?” Paris asks.
“More than you know. A big gray like this can take out a whole pack of werewolves if they want to,” Jeff says.
“Hmm, he was a little slow. Maybe he was too old,” Walker says.
“He was not that slow. You were that fast,” Val says.
“Well, we train hard,” Paris says. She does not like all the praise, and she doesn’t think she is more special than any other werewolf.
“Yeah, but you make one hell of a team. I will not take the two of you on,” Val says.
“Okay, enough about that. How many dogmen do we have?” Paris changes the subject, and everyone smiles as they know she does not like all the attention.
“Humble as well,” Luca says dryly. The rest nod. Jeff quickly counts the dogmen who are still confused and do not know what they are doing there and why they feel like humans again.
“Here is about twenty, Queen,” Jeff says.
“Fine, take them home and show them how to shift. Give them clothing and put them in groups to train,” Walker says.
“We will do that, King,” Jeff says. He knows not to question Paris and Walker anymore, and they know what they are doing. Paris turns to Luca.
“So you also have a daylight ring?” Paris asks.
“No, Cadilla gave me a tattoo,” Luca answers.
“Can you give Luca’s brother and sister a tattoo, Cadilla?” Paris asks.
“Yes, but they already have daylight rings. Why would they need the tattoo?” Cadilla asks.
“You know that when an evil vampire puts the daylight ring on his finger, he will turn to dust? Well, we can use the rings as weapons against Luca, Roman, and Kristina’s parents,” Paris says.
“That is brilliant,” Cadilla says. Luca looks at Paris again. This Queen keeps surprising him.
“I must agree that the King and Queen impress me. I know you are true warriors, unlike most Kings and Queens. My father is greedy, and he wants that daylight rings. I know he will be looking for my brother and sister to get the rings, and we must let him find out in a way that they have daylight rings,” Luca says.
“Well, come into my house. The two of you will have to sit down as it is painful, but then you will be like your brother, and the bond with your father and mother will be broken without you having to wear those rings,” Cadilla says.
“May I watch? I only had the spell for rings?” Miriam asks.
“Of course, I can feel you are a powerful magical wolf, and I would love to learn some things from you as well,” Cadilla says.
“Jeffrey, you and the others can return home, take the dogmen back, and send the jet back to us. We will stay in this area for a while to see if we can help more. You can come back with the jet as we may need you here,” Walker tells Jeff as he walks into the house of the gypsy. They can see the gypsies need help, as the town looks poor, like the poor gypsies have suffered a lot. They can not let the gypsies live like this and will try to convince them to move to the Kingdom, where there is plenty of food and other stuff they can use. There are plenty of open homes where John, Oliver, and their men used to live, and they can work the land as that part of the Kingdom is not used. The wolves that joined them live near the Castle like most of the wolves of the Kingdom. The Kingdom is enormous, and the wolves living there are not enough to protect all of the Kingdom. Besides, they can use the help of more magical creatures. He also wants to talk to Luca about him and his sister and brother joining them.
Cadilla and Miriam walk with the two vampires to another room, leaving the rest of them alone in the room. Paris and Walker look at Luca. He stands alone in the corner, talking to someone on his phone. They hear he is busy talking to his commander and telling him to wait until he is back before they do anything to Mikhail’s Castle. There are things he wants to remove before they break it down to the ground, and Mikhail will have no safe haven if he wants to return to Europe. As he finishes his call, Walker and Paris walk over to Luca.
“Luca, we could not help to hear you want to burn the Castle to the ground. Can we help you with that? Or maybe we can help you with something else?” Walker asks.
“My father left an army at home, and I will appreciate your help. If I have you there, we can attack in the daytime, and they can not fight in the daylight,” Luca says.
“We will help you, but we will also need your help as you know there is a war coming, and we will need all the help we can get,” Paris says.
“You can count on my siblings and me to help you fight my evil father. We have hated him since he was a human. You have no idea what that thing is capable of, and my mother is not much better. As children, we lived in fear for our own lives as they would kill anyone or anything they thought could stand in their way. It was hell living with them, and since a very young age, I have dreamed of the day I would kill them,” Luca says.
“I can only imagine, not that my parents were any better, but at least I did not live in fear all the time. I only found out later my mother wanted to kill me,” Paris says.
“Yeah, my childhood was also not heaven on earth, but yours must have been the worst of all of us,” Walker says. Luca looks at Paris and Walker, and he knows that the two also had a hard loveless life, but at least they have each other now, and Luca hopes that one day he will find someone to give him the love they have. It sure looks good to have someone who cares about you and is willing to fight as they do. The gypsy girl jumps into Luca’s mind, but he knows she is not the one for him. Besides, he has seen how his brother is looking at her. He thinks Roman is in love with Cadilla, and as his brother has a soft, artistic soul, he feels he will fit nicely with Cadilla. Luca can tell Cadilla is much like Roman, and her soul is pure. He needs more of a tough woman like the Queen of werewolves, but not a werewolf, as that will never work. He smiles at himself as he realizes that his heart and soul are not as cold as they used to be before he got the tattoo. He is even thinking of love. Since when does a vampire think of love? Well, he is glad he can feel emotions again. And he can feel the heat in his body again. He feels alive and almost like a human again. That was all Luca had been hoping for. He wanted to feel again. He wants to love again, but he will never say that to anyone as they may see it as a weakness, and Luca does not want anyone to think he has a weakness.
“Well, let us not talk about the past but about a better future for the whole world. The world will be a better place without Mikhail. I hate that thing. I can not call him a vampire because vampires were better creatures than him, even when he was human. He deserves to die, but we will take it one step at a time. First, we must eliminate the dogmen, make humans not panic about werewolves, and run to Mikhail and his soldiers for shelter. We need to stop his project in LA. We need him to flee to Europe and find his Castle where he always feels safe is gone,” Luca says.
“I agree, so first, let us plan how we will take down the Castle,” Paris says. Luca nods.
“We will go during the day, and you can go in and take what you want. We will go with you and help you as the Castle will be dark inside, and we do not want you to fight all the vampires inside by yourself,” Walker says.
“We will need a lot of wooden stakes. Only the originals can die from a white oak stake,” Luca says.
“Jeff said something about having white oak stakes, so we can use them as a backup if the daylight rings do not work,” Paris says.
“Jeff knows where the white oak stakes are? How? Only the wolves of old knew where they were kept,” Luca says. He knows as he heard about the white oak stake the wolves took with them when they went to the island decades ago. The wolves of old wanted to kill the original vampires, but his father hired the hunters to drive most of them out of Europe, and the rest that was left did not bother them. They hear screaming coming from the room next door.
“What the hell is going on in there?” Paris asks and wants to go and save Kristina and Roman.
“It hurts when the tattoo appears on your arm. It burns like fire from the sun. I know. I went through it. Do not worry. They are good souls and will be okay,” Luca says.
“Are you sure?” Walker asks.
“Yeah, do not worry. I also wanted to scream, and I think at one stage I did,” Luca laughs.
“Val, I need your help outside,” A woman says, and Luca looks up as he knows that voice.
“I am coming, Mariana,” Val says as he gets up from a table where he and some hunters are drinking.
“Ahh, Mariana. I see we meet again,” Luca says.
“You bloody bloodsucker!” Mariana shouts.
“Yeah, I missed you too,” Luca laughs. Mariana storms at Luca with a stake in her hand. Luca laughs as he grabs her hand and the stake falls out of her hand.
“Let go of me!” Mariana shouts.
“Did you not learn your lesson last time? Regular wooden stakes do not work on me. Or maybe you do not want to kill me,” Luca laughs.
“You, son of a b***h! I hate you,” Mariana shouts. Everyone is looking at the two.
“You lie. You love me,” Luca teases her.
“I might have loved you once, but that was long ago!” Mariana shouts. Everyone wonders what the history between these two is, but it is their private business, and it looks like a lover’s quarrel, as it is evident that the two do not want to kill each other.
