Chapter 96

Paris’s POV

I guess we can not return to America and our pack there. We must stay here as the wolves depend on us to help them build the new Kingdom and give them an heir to the throne. We know that humans are experimenting with supernatural creatures, and they almost made the world believe that werewolves are awful creatures that want to kill them. We can not allow this to happen again and need to find out where else they are doing experiments. We need to strengthen the Kingdom and make sure werewolves are never in danger or seen as dangerous creatures. We were placed on this earth to protect humans and not destroy them. We will also have to take care of the rogues, so they will not cause us any more trouble in the future. I am glad the vampires have their own Kingdom now. I am so happy they are our friends now and not our enemies anymore.

We want to stay in the Kingdom for a while and look after our people, ensuring they are all happy and have enough food, water, and entertainment. The children have schools, and the teachers do a great job keeping them entertained. They have sports, drama classes, dancing classes, and other entertainment after school. I am standing in my study, looking out the window. It feels like years ago when I wanted to run away from my pack and go to university. It feels so long ago that I met Jeffrey, Wallis, and London. I know it is not that long ago, but so much has happened in the meantime. London gave birth to a beautiful little she-wolf. I love playing with her as she is adorable.

I want a pup, but I am unsure if I am ready. I must talk to Jeff about the dangers left in the world and if we need to take them out immediately or do it over the next few years. I know there will always be evil creatures in the world, but the more we kill, the less our children will have to deal with them. I want the world to be a safe place for my children. I know they will be safe in the Kingdom as our wolves are trained well, and Elena and her she-wolves already told me they would be the guards of the heir to the throne. I smile as I think of Elena and Jeff. They are not talking about having children yet, and I am sure they will talk about it once the Moon Goddess has forgiven him for his sins. Jeffrey has done so much for the world that I know it is only a matter of time before the Moon Goddess will forgive him and release him of his curse. I know he and Elena belong together and will be happy once they are released from the curse, and Jeff knows his children will grow up in front of him. He will not have to watch his children grow old and die.

I call Jeff via mind-link as I need to talk to him. It does not take him long to get to my office, and I smile at him as I can see he is happy for once in his life. I know poor Jeff had a tough life, and I can not believe there was a time when Jeff was an evil creature. What will we do without him? He is the one that brought us all together, and he is a High Priest of the Moon Goddess. Jeff is like the father I always wanted to have. He is my pillar in life, besides Walker.

“You called me, Queen,” Jeff says.

“Yes, Jeff. I want to find out where we stand with the rogues and dogmen still in the wild. I want the Kingdom to move forward, but I am afraid to move forward as I do not want the dogmen and rogues to cause us any more trouble,” I say.

“You mean you want a pup and want to make sure the pup will be okay,” Jeff says, smiling at me.

“Well, you can read me like a book. I want to have an heir to the throne, one that will lead the Kingdom in the future, and I want to make sure that he will not have to deal with the dogmen and rogues at least. I know there will be evil in the world even after we have pups, but I want to make sure I give them a better chance in life and that they never have to deal with the creatures we had to deal with,” I say.

“I know, Queen, but we can not let our lives come to hold because of the problems we are facing now. We will get them all eventually, but it may take years to get all the evil creatures out of big parks and areas where there are not many creatures. I have been checking the internet for stories, but there are not as many as before,” Jeff says.

“So we are slowly but surely winning the war against these evil creatures?” I ask.

“Yes, we are winning slowly but surely, but I want you to concentrate on the future of the Kingdom and give it an heir. We will protect the heir at all costs and keep all your pups safe,” Jeff tells me. I am happy to hear that and know I can count on him, Elena, and her wolves.

“I know magical creatures can not attack the royals, but does it still count now that we have a new Kingdom?” I ask.

“It will always stay in place. You are descendants of the wolves of old, and no magic can touch you. I will ensure that the gypsies strengthen the spell and that Mariam and Cadilla can ensure that no magic can ever touch the new royals,” Jeff says. I feel more relaxed but want to spend a little time with my mate before we have pups. We did not have much alone time since we always fought for the Kingdom and the other creatures, and I would like to get closer to Walker.

“I am glad to hear that, but I first want to spend time with Walker before we have pups, and I think the two of us must go to America and spend some time with the pack there. I know Ace is doing a great job keeping them safe. We must also make Ace the Alpha, as we can not be there and here simultaneously. The pack will need a strong Alpha,” I say. The Cloverfield Pack has moved back to their grounds as they are sacred to them, and they do not want to leave the grounds for other creatures to move in. Besides, Midnight and Daylight are there, and I would love to see them again. I want to ride on Daylight again and feel the wind in my hair as we run freely.

“I understand you want to spend more time with the King. It is great that you want to visit America and get to know him more. Aldo and his mate have asked if they can go to the pack in America to help protect them with their magic,” Jeff says.

“Aldo and Dakota can come with us when we go to the states to be with the pack. I think they are not cowards anymore and will do anything to defend their pack against magic or any other creatures,” I say.

“I am glad you feel that way, Queen. I am sure they are not evil creatures and were afraid. Sometimes we all get so scared and run away from our past or the things that can hurt us. I am glad they could restore their reputation by fighting by our side,” Jeff says. I know he felt sorry for the two creatures as they were just creatures like them that sometimes thought they could not face something evil. I know Jeff is glad they got the courage and are not seen as cowards anymore. Their pack sees them as war heroes after they fought with us in the war against Mikhail. I am glad the pack is ready to accept them back and treat them like the other shamans in the pack. I am sure the wolves now see them as war heroes and will not call them cowards anymore. They are part of the Kingdom, but Ace will welcome them back into the pack. We all know Jonathan will have to give up his position as Beta, and before we hand the pack over to Ace, we will have to appoint a Beta for the pack. Ace will be an incredible Alpha, and I know we can leave the pack with great hearts in his hands. He is strong, and he values the pack’s history and heritage. Walker comes walking into my office. He smiles as he sees me and Jeffrey talk.

“What are you two gossiping about?” Walker asks as he pulls me into his arms and k****s me.

“We talked about going to the pack in America for a while. You and me, alone. Maybe we can go camping as we want this time,” I say.

“That will be great. I was thinking of handing the pack over to Ace as he is the only one I can trust with the Cloverfield Pack,” Walker says.

“Haha, we were thinking the same thing. Before we hand him the pack, we will need to get a new Beta in place since Jonathan and Mariam will need to stay with us,” I say.

“Yeah, I can not let my mother run the Kingdom every time we go away as she is getting too old,” Walker says.

“I agree. Jeff, Jonathan, Elena, and Mariam will have to step in for us when we are gone,” I say.

“Elena and I are your advisors, and we need to travel with you where you go, Queen. Jonathan and Mariam will have to watch the Kingdom,” Jeff says.

“You like to travel, and that is the only reason you want to join us on our travels,” I tease Jeff. Jeff smiles and looks at Walker.

“The Queen knows me too well, King. I love to travel, but when you have pups, Elena, I, and her she-wolves will have to look after the heirs while you attend to Kingdom business, so we may as well get used to it,” Jeff says.

“I know. The Queen is teasing you, and you should know by now not to take her seriously,” Walker says, laughing.

“I know, but the Queen is something else,” Jeff says.

“Hey, you two can stop talking about me like I am not here,” I say as I point my finger at the two.

“You know we love you and the way you are. Baby, promise me you will never change,” Walker says.

“You know I will never change,” I say.

“Well, I got some work to do. So, if the King and Queen will excuse me, I need to go,” Jeff says. I know he wants to leave us alone, and I smile at him.

“You are excused,” I say.

Jeff walks out and closes the door behind him. I turn to Walker and jump into his arms, and he catches me and starts kissing me. We k**s each other with all the passion we feel for each other. We get rid of our clothes, and Walker carries me to the couch in my office. He lays me down and comes to lay on me as we are still kissing. I can not believe there was a time in my life I did not even know he did not exist. I can feel him enter me as we make love with all the passion inside us. He is my mate, and I love Walker with all my heart. We go over the edge and lay in each other’s arms for a long while. We are happy, and I feel complete with my mate by my side.
