Brella P.O.V

Recap

“Because we’re mates…” she announced taking me totally off guard.

I stared at her bewilder now it’s my turn for my mouth to form an O shape….

“If you guys are really mate, why didn’t you tell me anything?” I question her because she and Ryan being mate just sounds too good to be true. I mean I would have seen the signs right.

“Wellllll,” Lily dragged. “At first I felt attracted to him but wasn’t sure whether we were mates and I didn’t know if he knew. I felt nervous to tell him and I didn’t want you to get all excited on my wild guess.” She explains.

I crossed my arms. “So how did, this happen, more importantly when did this happen?” I ask.

She smiled, “This earlier when we went at my house so I could get some change clothes.”

Slowly a smile crept onto my face and I start squealing excitedly. Some people passing looked at me wired I just ignore them because I know I’m not crazy. I’m just excited my best friend found her mate, and who better to be her mate than Ryan. I know he will treat her well. Lily squealed with me also she even jumped up and down like a four year old I would have join her but yeah in my condition that’s so not going to happen…….

Few minutes later

“Ok I’ll have two big buckets of popcorn, three hot dog, four chocolate bars the Buttercup one and a big cup of Pepsi.” I finished. Kristy and Lily give me wired looks. After overhearing Lily and I squealing fest Kristy decide to check on us and now we were ordering our snacks. Both girls had already made their order and it was my turn now. “What? I haven’t eaten breakfast and I’m hungry”

They laughed at me. “You should have seen her, when she claims she hadn’t eaten lunch one time. She’d brought food fit for an army” Kristy said giggling to Lily.

“Hey I heard that” I scowled at them both as they giggle at me.

We grabbed our stuff and left so we can meet up back with the boys.

“Well, well, well if it isn’t Brella Blakes.” A very high pitch voice says. I know that voice anywhere it belongs to none other than Britney Spears. I know what you’re thinking and it’s not Britney Spear the singer. No this is another Britney Spears, she’s the always want attention, make people feel bad about themselves, stuck up bitch. I know it sounds harsh but trust me that’s just what Britney is. All through my high school she’s been trying to get to me and sometimes she does.

I look around and there she is walking towards us. I notice she still dress as slutty as ever. She wore a short skirt that looks like it stopped to her mid tights and a red top the neck line so low that it hardly hides her breast. She halted stopping right in front of me, her eyes dropping to my stomach. I suddenly felt conscious and protective and I had resist the urge to growl at her. “So it’s true you are pregnant. Who would have taught someone would actually sleep with you.”

“Back off Britney,” Lily growled as she pulled me closer to her.

Ignoring Lily growl Britney continues. “Rumor has it that your mate got you pregnant and that he also rejects you.” She made sure she drawls out the words rejects. Although I know the reason for why Kiefer rejects me and that he actually wants me. It still hurts to know he actually did it and it also hurts that someone like Britney could shove that in my face. “Is that why you left before anyone can know you’re pregnant? I bet that’s it, although I don’t know why you came back because you’re an embarrassment to our pack.”

That was just about all I could take. Without any warning or thinking I punched Britney square in her stupid face. As my hand connected to her face I felt the crack of bones breaking and my hand hurts a little. Britney pain streaking scream erupted ringing my ears and causing attention to us.

“You stupid bitch you broke my nose!” she yelled covering her now bleeding nose. “When I’m done with you, you won’t be pregnant any longer. She growled threatening me.

I open my mouth to make a resort but was cut off by a fast move beside me. “If you as so much lay a figure on my mate I’ll make sure you never live to see your own mate.” Kiefer growled at her. He had her pined up against the wall, his hand gripped around her throat. Britney was now blue and struggling to get loose. I could see the fear in her eyes as well as smell it. More people start gathering around us.

I walk up to Kiefer and place my hand gently on his arm. He looked at me and I could see that his wolf was ascending. “Let her go, you need to calm down. There’s a crowd gathering around us.” I spoke softly to him. He looks around and I saw his muscle flexes as he reluctantly let Britney go.

She fell to the floor her hands claps around her throat as she took deep shallow breaths. Relief washed over her face. I almost felt sorry for her, that’s almost. She looked for it. Without another word Britney gather her stuff and scurry away as quickly as she can.

Taking my mate hand I motion for my brother and the rest for go inside before we draw two much attention to ourselves. Once inside we settle down and watched the movie.

“Come on Brella we don’t have time. Let’s leave.” Lily urges dragging me away. I bit my l*p looking back one last time before I reluctantly turned away and follow her. I was looking at the most unique and beautiful baby stroller for twins. It has everything I would need for my kids. I wanted to buy it but unfortunately it cost more than my life’s saving. All I could do now is admire it.

After the movie we all decided to do a little shopping and that’s what we were doing until my mom call Lily’s phone and told her we need to come now. So now I’m on my way home and not feeling myself because I didn’t get the stroller. The whole drive back home was quite for me I didn’t pay much attention to anyone. Lily would try to indulge me into a conversation and I would make few short comments here and there.

We pulled up in the drive way, taking off my seat belt I was about to get out when Kiefer hand grabbed mine. I turned to look at him, his face was crease with concern. I know he would be worry after all I haven’t talked to him the whole drive.

“Is everything alright? Are you ok?” he questions.

Pulling my hand away, I answer him. “Yes I’m fine.’ And like that I got out the car and went to go inside.

“Brella wait.” Lily stopped me. “We need to go from the backyard.” She said. I looked at her confuse.

“Why would we need to go from the backyard?” I ask not understanding

“You’ll see,” Kristy said as she and Lily grab both my arms and started leading me towards the back of my parent’s yard, giving me no chance to ask anymore question. I glanced at my brother but he offers no information neither of them offer me anything as they urge me to continue walking with them. I was getting frustrated by the second that I didn’t think anything of the multiples of scents that came my ways as we near the backyard.

“SURPRISE!!!!!!!”

I thank god that Kristy and Lily had me or else I would have fallen on my bum and that would be embarrassing in front of everyone. To say that I’m surprise is an understatement. I notice a huge sign that reads Surprise baby shower. I sighed I should have seen this coming I know my mother was planning something like this but I didn’t expect it to be so soon. I glanced around everyone around me and came to a conclusion that she invited the whole pack also.

I turned around casting an accusing glare at Lily. “You couldn’t have warned me.” I exclaim. Lily stepped back a guilty expression on her face. “And you too.” I said turning to my brother.

“Well” My brother started his hand in his hair as he avoids my gaze. He like, Lily know very well how mom can go overboard with surprise party and the fact that I still wasn’t ready to let everyone know about my pregnancy meant that they should have warned me.

“There you are sweetly.” I heard my mom voice. Relief washed over Max face as I turned to face my mother. “Why are you over here? Come enjoy your party.” With that said my mom drag me into the crowd of people, as she explains to me how she planned this surprise and invited all our family and the whole pack. I was getting wary and didn’t really want to be here. Everyone kept staring at me or more at the huge stomach. “There’s your aunt, uncle and cousins over there. Let’s go meet them.” Without waiting for any protest she drags me over there. “Hi Jade it’s good to see you here.”

“It’s good to be here.” My aunt said. “Brella my, this is quite a surprise.” She turned to me. “How are you?”

I smiled at my aunt. “I’m fine, how are you?”

She laughed, “You know me, and I’m fine trying with these kids here.” She motion to her two children. I smiled at them they look about eleven and thirteen years, two beautiful girls with dark hair. The both looked at me in awe and ask to feel my stomach. I let them feel and that seems to be the go ahead for everyone to else as they gather around me to feel by stomach.

Thirty minutes passed and all I did was stand and let people feel my stomach and talk about baby stuff. I was getting tired of it all. “Could you excuse me for a while?” I ask excusing myself. Leaving the group of people I went inside from the kitchen. Since we’ve arrive everyone abundant me, I have no idea where Kristy, Lily, Ryan, Jace or Max are. Sighing even Kiefer disappear also, maybe he couldn’t handle being here anymore and left. I hope that’s not the case everyone’s been asking me for my mate and I had no idea what to tell them. Grabbing a bottle of water and a slice of cake I went into the living room and sit down on the couch. I’ll get a little peace and quiet before anyone finds me.

I felt someone hand sneaked around my eyes and claps it. I almost got defensive but I felt the familiar shock and know it was my mate. Removing his hands I turned to him. “Where were you?” I asked. He smiled and kissed my forehead. “Come and you’ll see.” He said as her grab my hand and pulled me towards the front door. Curiosity gets the best of me so I follow without any protest or questions all the while wondering what it is that he has to show me.

Opening the door I stepped outside and I couldn’t believe my eyes at what I’m seeing. Bewilder I turned to him. “How, did you know?” I asked turning back to stare at the baby stroller I wanted a few hours ago. I walk up to it and let my hands rub against it, it felt soft. Admiring the designs in it, it was blue with little yellow and green designs.

“Let’s just say a little birdie told me.” Kiefer answers as he came up behind me.

“I’m willing to bet that little birdie is Lily. Am I right? She’s the only one that knows about this, so it has to be her.

‘Yes it’s her, after I saw that you seem upset and wouldn’t talk to me about it. I decided to ask her.” He explains.

I stare at him shock that he actually did that for me. “You didn’t have to,” I said feeling guilty that I didn’t talk to him before and giving him the cold shoulder.

Taking my free hand and pulling me towards him, Kiefer lifted my chin so I can look at him square in the face. I was now lost staring into those hazels eyes of his. “Of course I have to, I wanted to Brella.” He said. “I hate seeing you unhappy or a frown on your face. I’ll do anything to make you smile and be happy again. I love you Brella with all my heart, mind and soul.”

Tears fell from my eyes as what he said sink in. “I love you too.” I said, without thinking. The words just seem to flow out of my mouth like water in a river. If this was any romance movie, I was watching I would have called this part cheesy. Closing the gap between us we kissed and it felt good….
