Chapter 34

Brella POV

“Brella wake up.” I heard as I felt myself being shake. My eyes flutter open. It took me a few seconds to adjust my vision. “Oh my god, I’m so happy you’re awake.” Kristy cried out as she hugs me.

I wince at the sudden impact that cause my heat to throb. “Where are we?” I ask as I look around the unfamiliar room. We were in an empty room the walls were a stain white and the only furniture was the bed I lay on. I stared at Kristy her eyes were b***d shot red and puffy from crying.

“I… I… I don’t know. They took us away and I woke up in this room with you. I thought they would kill us, and you weren’t waking up.” She explains as she sobbed. “Brella I’m scared.”

“Shu.” I said pulling her into a hug. “Everything will be ok Kiefer and the others will save us. I won’t let anything happen to you.” I said as I wipe her tears.

In all honesty I’m scared too, I’m in an unfamiliar place being held against my will. I don’t know what will happen. I look down at Kristy she is young and scared and so I must be strong for her sake. As she continues sobbing, I held her into my arms as I remember what happen.

Flash Back

“Why did you take me to my room?” I ask as Paul the tall guard place me on my bed. The contractions I made it hard to walk so Paul carried me. As he carried me, I made it my duty to learn their names instead of referring to them as guards. Paul is the tall strong guy name whiles the other guard name is Cain, he is not that strong but still toned.

. Paul step forward “Luna this is one of the safe rooms, due to the fighting outside we can’t risk taking you to the pack doctor.” He answers.

“instead I’ll go get the pack doctor.” Cain said

“Please hurry.” I said as I hissed at another contraction. Kristy held my hand and I look, and I give her a reassuring smile.

“I’ll guard the door Luna.” Paul said as Cain left. I nod my and he left to position himself in front the door.

Another wave of pain hit, and I bit my l*p, holding in my scream. My mind flash back to my teacup and the young maid Lydia. Kristy was right she did put something in my tea, why else would I have contractions so early? But why, what was her aim?

“Brella take deep breaths, I read it helps in times like this.” Kristy soft voice said.

“Thanks Kristy” I said as I follow her instruction. I did read about it but with all that’s happening I forgot. I hope Kiefer come soon, I need him with me.

*Brella* I heard name. I head my wolf cheered mate.my eyes widen

*Brella*

*Kiefer* I answered anxious.

*Brella are you ok, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. What happen? * his worried voice asks.

*I’m ok, I’m just having contractions. * I explain

*Contractions? are the babies coming? * I can hear the concern in his voice

*I am not sure. * I replies as I subconsciously rub my tummy. * Kiefer you need to hurry the pack-*

*I know baby, I’m on my way. * he cuts in. *Listen to me Brella, there is a possibility Jax is alive. *

Did he say Jax? The Jax he mentions to me long ago?

*Jax-*

I began but I was cut off by a loud tug outside my door. I stared at my door for a few seconds then I looked at Kristy, her eyes widen with fear.

*Luna, you need to leave the room. * I heard Paul voice through mind link. I can hear fighting outside my room door now.

I glance around my room, my eyes landed on the adjoining door to the nursery, I turn to Kristy “Help me up?” I said stretching my hand out. I got up with her help. “Let’s go through here.” I said. As I grabbed a pen and paper and scribble something on it.

Kristy nodded.

When enter the nursery and I locked the door. “don’t make a noise.” I said as I listen to hear any other noise.

“Bree what do we do?” Kristy whisper.

“As soon as you hear them enter the other room, we leave this one and try to make it to the room at the end.” I explain. She nodded.

We waited a few seconds until they were no other sound outside. I can her someone going into my room. Looking at Kristy I take her hand. “Now is our chance.”

We quietly rush to the door and open it.

I gasps stumbling backward as I look at the man in front of me.

“Hello cutie.” He said stepping forward. Instinctively I took a step back. “Oh, you have a friend with you. She’s not part of my plan but I guess she will do.” He c***s his head to the side.

Kristy squeeze my hand, I can feel her shaking beside me. I glance at her before returning my gaze to the man in front of me. I have never seen him before but every pore in my body screams danger.

“Who are you.” I growled my wolf was screaming to protect our pups.

He laughed not affected at my growl. “You’re pretty brave, this will be fun.” He took another step.

*Kristy Listen to me* I said through mind link. Mind link between non pack members is almost impossible but I was once apart of Ryan pack and thou I’m not anymore, I can still mind like them if we’re really close and I focus my will power. It’ll give me a major headache later, but this is desperate times.

Kristy eyes widen as she stared at me.

*Listen Kristy you need to try to escape through the door we came in from. I don’t hear any noise from there anymore. I’ll distract him and you go get help. *

*But Bree you can’t* she protests

*It’s our only chance. His focus seems to be on me, I won’t fight him, when I give the signal go. I can’t hold the link much longer* she nods her head.

“Who are you.” I repeat again.

“Hasn’t he told you? And here I thought I won’t have to introduce myself.” He grinned.

I gasp “Jax.”

“Bingo sweetheart.”

“Lie you should be dead.” I said as I shiver in fear.

“Yet I’m here.” He spread his arms out as to shown how much alive he is.

Now is my chance *Go! * I yelled through mind link to Kristy as I made a dash to the door behind Jax.

He easily grabs me. “Do you really think you can escape me?” he asks his voice sounding amuse.

“No but she would.” I said looking at the now open adjoining door.

“Stupid woman, why don’t you take a better look.” He said as he laughs. “No one is coming to save you.”

Staring at the door I gasp, as Kristy returns struggling in Cain’s grips.

“Cain.” I whisper too shock. “How could you?” I ask as my heart dropped.

Cain smiled.

“You monster how could you betray us, your Alpha.” I yelled as I struggle to get free. I wanted to claw his eyes out. “Let her go.”

He laughed. “Jax here sees something in me your Alpha couldn’t. I am one of his strongest fighters and he choose that week punk to be his Beta. I deserve to be Beta.” He practically yelled the last part.

“Traitor!” I yelled. “Kiefer won’t let you go for this.” I close my eyes. I need to contact my mate and let him know.

“I don’t think so missy.” Jax said hitting me behind my head, everything went black.
