Rejected, My Jaded Love
Episode 16

We head straight to the bank first and thankfully mom, I mean my aunt Sylvia, had not remembered that she was on my account, and hadn’t cleaned it out yet. I went ahead and took all my money out of my account and made a mental note that I would come back after school on Monday to start another account that only has me on it. I felt immense relief that my money was still there, I mean it was only $6,500 dollars but that was all my extra money from my tips that I could put aside for the last 2 years since I started working at age 16, minus living expenses.

“Dixon, could you take me to Goodwill please?” I called from the backseat.

Bree turns around in her seat in front of me and says “Uh, NO! We are going to the mall honey. I have my dad’s black card and we are using it. Mom and dad want us to. Don’t forget we have the ceremony tonight for you all becoming a member of our pack. You will need a nice dress for that. You just told Nicole and Jessica about your jeans not fitting and you losing 13 lbs. in the last month. Please just let us do this for you. I felt terrible when I saw you only had that one little suitcase and duffle bag for ALL your belongings, even your shoes. Just let us get you some new jeans, workout clothes, some shoes, and some lingerie. You need it, and you deserve it, let us spoil you a little”.

I could see Dixon blush a little when Bree said lingerie and I felt bad for him, I knew he was uncomfortable with the turn in the conversation.

“Okay, I am good with the dress, but I only really need two pairs of jeans and some shirts and a few workout pieces. I can get some new shoes later this week, and I can buy my own underclothes. But I would like a nice dress for when we are introduced to the pack” I tell Bree.

“Let’s just get to the mall and see what we can find. We are all going shopping it is all of us we will all get a new dress, well not Dixon, he doesn’t want one” Bree teased Dixon.

Dixon reached out and lightly pushed at Bree’s shoulder in a teasing manner and said, “I will stick with a suit, thanks”.

We arrive at the mall, and it is huge, I have never shopped at the mall because unless the clothes are on sale I really cannot afford to shop there.

“Where are we going first?” Bree asks.

“How about Jade gets some jeans and shirts from Forever 21? I think we can get her set up with that one store and then go get our dresses” Nicole asks.

“Great idea Nicole! Ok, we have a game plan lets go to Forever 21 first” Bree says.

We head in and Bree, Nicole, and Jessica start pulling clothes for me to try on, and Dixon heads out to sit on the bench outside the store and gets on his phone, he is taking watching over us to a new level. I appreciate him coming with us, he is a nice guy.

The girls pull me a size down from where I was and pull about 4 pairs of size 14 jeans. I am still considered a plus-size at a size 14 and hope that by the summer I will be in the regular sizes.

I come out of the dressing room with the first outfit on, the girls are all lined up to see and they love the jeans, but they hate the shirt. The jeans go in the keep pile, and I move on to the next outfits. After it was all said and done, I have 2 new pairs of jeans, 4 new shirts, a new jacket, a cute dress, three pairs of shoes: sneakers, a pair of flats, and an ankle boot. I also got some new socks, three new pairs of matching lingerie, 3 new sports bras and matching leggings, long tank tops to go over my workout clothes, and two belts as the 14 were not as snug as they could have been, I was still 10 lbs. away from fitting in the size 12’s. They wanted me to get more, but I told them that we will probably be here next month to do it all over again as I planned to be a size 12 soon, with cheers for the next shopping trip sounding all around. I will be funding my next trip as I hated the Alpha and Luna having spent almost $600 on just me, I was just glad some of it was on sale. I will be funding my next shopping trip, so I don’t have to feel guilty about using someone else’s money.

We go upstairs to a high-end boutique for some nice dresses. We all separate and go looking for a dress to wear for tonight. Dixon was nice enough to babysit my bags as he again sits outside the store on a bench, playing games on his cell phone. Nicole finds a beautiful silver-blue dress that almost exactly matches her eyes, it is floor-length and kind of shimmers as she turns, with her figure she looks stunning in it. Jessica finds a beautiful off-the-shoulder gray dress that was tea-length and flared-out. It made her figure stand out and she looked so graceful walking in it. It was perfect for her. I was having a hard time finding something for me as I was still heavy and almost 6 ft tall. I knew we may have to go to another store to find me a dress. The Manager approached me and spoke with me about color choices and my size, telling me that they had just gotten a shipment in, but it hadn’t been put out on the floor yet. She went to check to see if she had anything in my size in the storeroom. I turned around to go back to where Bree had just exited the dressing room and was amazed at how beautiful she looked in her navy dress. It complimented her dark blue eyes, and showed off her figure, but not in a revealing way with the neckline being straight across and not heart-shaped. Well, they had all found their dress, and I was starting to get worried. I may have a problem, I felt bad as I should have tried to lose weight earlier than I did and I could have probably found a dress easier. Disappointment slams through me as I start to tear up.

“We may have to go to another store guys for me to get my dress. I am tall and still kind of heavy and they may not have a dress for me here” I tell them sadly.

“No, I have got a dress that will look great on you honey” I hear from behind me, and the manager approaches me with a beautiful dark emerald, green gown. Shae had the dress held up in her right hand with her left hand keeping it from touching the floor. She explained that it was an A-Line off-the-shoulder sweep train chiffon gown with a slit in the front and that she was positive that I would look fabulous in it. It was truly beautiful, and I was excited to try it on.

She lets me into the dressing room to try it on. I step out for Nicole to zip me up. It was a little tight at the bust and waist, but I can live with that. The girls all agreed that I looked beautiful, and I felt beautiful in it. We made our purchases and we all carried out dress bags to the car, while Dixon carried my bags from Forever 21. As it was now 1130 and lunch was about to be over at the packhouse we went to a local chicken restaurant. We all piled out to go in to use the restroom and get some food. We had a good time talking and laughing with each other as we ate. I got two 8 packs of the baked chicken, and no fries, as I was going to try to eat the best I could while we were out. I also ordered water and a fruit cup too. I couldn’t finish it all and gave my last 5 pieces of chicken to Dixon.

We were laughing as we exited the restaurant and as I was getting into the Tahoe, I hear someone call my name from about 50 feet away. I look up and the b***d drains from my face. Eric and Jeremy were in the drive-thru lane and they both looked furious. Dixon calls out for all of us to get in the SUV and is firing it up at that time. As soon as the doors are shut, he puts it in reverse to make sure that they don’t park behind us and block us in and then drives around them to leave. They follow us and as we head back to the pack lands Bree is mind linking her parents, Nicole is mind linking her parents, and Dixon is focusing on the road to get us safely back to the pack lands ASAP, with Eric about 100 feet behind us. Dixon’s mind links the gate guards that we are about 1 minute out and to open the gates for us, but to not allow the black SUV behind us onto our land. My heart is beating out of my chest, and I am worried that I am about to get my new friends, or the Guards, hurt from Eric and Jeremy coming to get me and take me back.

Please Goddess don’t let anyone in this SUV be hurt by those idiots chasing us.
