Rejected, My Jaded Love
Episode 53

I get a call from Mason, letting me know what happened to Jade. He was pissed. She was almost kidnapped, and it was mostly my fault for pushing her to run off. They wouldn’t stop pushing me though, I felt like everyone at the table was attacking me and weren’t even going to listen to me about Jade is the only one for me. I love her, I want her, I am going to prove to her that I am her mate and will always take care of her. She just needs to give me the opportunity to prove that to her. I will stay on the straight and narrow, I am not even looking at other women anymore. They don’t interest me at all, since I have locked eyes with Jade and the bond started, I can’t think of anyone else but her. I followed Mason back to their rental house at a distance, when we left the restaurant, so I know where they are staying now. I just need to be able to talk to her to show her how sincere I am about being her one-and-only. She is it for me and I won’t let her go, she is my mate and I love and want her, and only her, for the rest of my life. I just have to convince her of that, and I know it is easier said than done.

It was probably not a good idea to show up at their rental house unannounced, but if I did let them know I was coming, I know they would probably all leave. I have to hope that since the bulk of them are from my pack if worse comes to worst I can Alpha Command them to calm down to listen to me, but it won’t work on the other three guys. They don’t look like pushovers either so, it could still go badly for me. I have to show her that I am all in with her and just beg her for a chance. I don’t mind proving myself, and that I am not the man I used to be. I am hoping that this will work and that it is one of my pack members that will be opening the door for me as I ring the doorbell.

“What do you want?” I hear and look up to see Dixon.

“I would like to speak to Jade, please. I am not here to argue, I just want to see that she is ok, and to speak with her for just a little bit. I would like for her to give me a chance to win her heart”. I tell him.

“I don’t know that she is up for visitors right now. She is very upset and has had a hard day. I don’t think this is a good idea. How about you talk to her later this week, or when we get back to the pack Asher?” Dixon tells me.

“I won’t stay long, and I will do my best not to upset her, but I need to see her Dixon. I have been worried about her all day. I know she had another run-in with those Morons, and I just need to see her and make sure that she is ok. Please, Dixon.” I ask him.

“Five minutes, and if she asks you to go, you are going to go, no argument” Dixon replies.

Dixon walks me out to the back yard where I see them all hanging out, the three other girls are swimming in the pool with Braxton and that Travis guy. I see Jade sitting in a lounge, with her knees up to her chest, watching them play around in the pool. One of the guys that had been sitting next to her at breakfast was sitting in the lounge chair next to her. I don’t see Mason or the other guy that was sitting nearest me at the table this morning out here with the group.

“Jade, I am sorry. Please don’t be mad at me. Asher wanted to check on you and see that you were ok, and maybe to speak to you if you were up to it” Dixon calls over to Jade. I see her head turn and her eyes narrow as she looks at me.

“I am not staying, I just wanted to talk to you, I am not here to upset you, please let me speak to you”. I plead to her before she can shut me down.

“Five minutes,” Jade says and looks back at the pool area.

I see the girls see me walking over to Jade and they swim over to the side of the pool nearest Jade and put their arms up on the side of the pool and rest their chins on their hands to watch me. I see Braxton and Travis both get out of the pool and start drying themselves off and come over to the lounge chairs on the other side of the guy sitting next to Jade. I see him straighten up and then put his feet on the ground like he is getting ready to get up, but just stayed in his seated position for now, but I take it for the warning that it is. I need to tread carefully as all four of the guys out here with us are ready to defend her if I step out of line.

“I just wanted to come by and see how you were doing. Mason told me you almost got kidnapped and I was worried about you. I just needed to see for myself that you were unharmed” I tell her.

“I am fine” She replies back, still looking at the pool.

“I can speak to Eric if I need to, to let him know that we are mates and to leave you alone. You are spoken for” I tell her.

“Am I spoken for Asher? Really? Why now, why not before when you knew we were mates?” Jade says as she turns to look me in the eye.

“I am sorry, I was an i***t. I liked doing what I was doing and wanted to continue doing it. But the moment I saw you, looked into your eyes, you are the only girl I can think about now. The pull is crazy. The moment we connected, there was no other girl for me. I believe that if I had seen you and looked you in the eyes 6 weeks ago, it would have been the same result. I thought I had time, as you wouldn’t know about me, as you were bonded to the stupid Beta that rejected you. I was going to claim you, just after I was done with school. I was just childish and greedy and wanted to continue to sleep around. I knew it would stop with you, and that my days were numbered. I was so wrong to do that. I see that now. I was selfish and knowing all you had gone through I should have sought you out first, but I didn’t because I never knew how strong the mate bond truly is. I did everything wrong, and I hope you will give me a chance to fix it. I would do anything for you. I will never go out with or sleep with another girl. I will wait for you until you realize that I truly do love you, and only you and no one else, for the rest of my life. My life truly began when I looked into your eyes as you were leaving, and I saw the hurt in your eyes. I felt miserable for being the one to put that pain there. I saw it every time I shut my eyes. I still do. I would do anything to take it back, to have a re-do and change how I treated you. I know I can’t change the past, but I can change myself, and I am willing to do that for you. I will be the man you can trust and put your faith in. That you can depend on to put you first, to love and protect you from this day forward. For you to eventually see my actions are all because you are the most important person in my life if you will give me a chance, please Jade? I am just asking for you to give me a few months to show you, to prove to you, that I am a changed man. Can you give me a few months to prove that to you at least until our graduation?” I tell her and wait for her to respond. I hope that she can see my sincerity in my voice as I speak to her. I hope she knows that I am completely serious, and my heart is now in her hands.

“Asher, I have spoken to you for 10 minutes tops. What I know of you, and you admit to as well is not a good thing for you. You have been deliberately cheating on me, even until yesterday when you got caught. You don’t have a good record with me. I know you know my background and instead of coming to me like a man and seeing if we could be true mates, which your wolf Aries already knew for a fact that we were, you decided to keep sleeping with a pack member that I will still have to interact with, and humans too. That is not the act of a man who “loves” me. I am sorry. I cannot give you the opportunity to continue to rip my heart into shreds. I am scared to do that, to be perfectly honest, you heard what the Howling Wolf pack did to me. I am assuming that because I allowed them to s**t on me, you figured that you could or would as well. So, you did, and now that you figured out that Aries was right, that we were mates, and that I was acceptable in appearance to the great Asher, that you were willing to claim me. Well, thanks for that. I did work hard to lose weight, to be healthier, but I am certainly not happier. I truly don’t know what I have done to be treated like crap on the bottom of my mate’s shoes. To be scraped off and left behind laying there on the sidewalk, like I was garbage and not of any value. I don’t treat people like that, even those who have wronged me. Now I have something to look forward to, as I know Ashley has already informed Brittany of what has happened, so my school life is surely going to improve from this. You know what really breaks my heart Asher, is that I will be down two mates, and I haven’t even graduated high school yet. I can’t just jump into your arms and tell you that everything will be fine because on my end it isn’t. Not even close. I don’t know if I can get past this. How can I be Luna, when I will have girls passing me and letting me know they slept with you. Or can we even go out and eat, or grab a coffee, without the same thing from Humans. You have effectively tied my hands and kept me from being able to love my husband, without wondering if the server had slept with him too. I just need time Asher. I hope you heard the words I said to you. I listened to you. I feel like you finally believe I am the “one” now. But I am literally like one in a hundred and that put’s me at 1% Asher. I feel you love me like I am 1%. I will give you a chance because the Goddess gave you to me for a reason. But you will only have this one chance Asher. If you sleep with another, she-wolf, or human, I will feel it. I don’t look forward to those pains again, so please think long and hard before you do that to me, because you will never see me again if you do, except for when I reject you or accept the rejection that you gave me”. I tell Asher.

“What the hell is he doing here?” I hear Tyler say from the doorway.
