Episode 56

“Bree, can you please mind link your brother that we will be taking the boat out to ski today please?” Tyler asks me.

“I will let him know, what time does he need to be there, and are we taking your boat out?” Bree asks me.

“Yes, our boat, it is gassed up and ready to go at slip #14. We will be leaving there at 10, tell him to grab food for lunch and dinner. Don’t forget that I need you and the girls to distract Jade up on the upper deck, so she doesn’t know he is there until we are well out on the Lake”. Tyler lowers his voice at the last part.

“I already mind linked and let him know, he said that he would be meeting us there,” Bree said.

We take the Jeeps out with us as we head to the marina with the coolers and the food packed in the back of the Jeeps. I go ahead and rent two pairs of skis for us to use, as we load up the boat. I keep an eye out for Asher as I was trying to get him on board as soon as I released the ropes and was down to the last one being untied when he walked up to the boat. I nodded towards the boat for him to get on as I untied the last line and jumped on myself and slowly pulled away from the pier. Well, at least we got him on the boat without Jade noticing or trying to jump off to swim back to shore. I am hoping that Asher just being here and being with her, can help strengthen the mate bond for Jade to realize that he loves her. I can see it, the others can too, but with everything that has happened to her, I can totally see where she would have some real trust issues when it came to her second chance mate. I know he now realizes that it was his fault that we are all here having to try to convince her to give him another chance.

We head out to the area that I like to go to on the lake where we can ski without other boats getting in our way when we start skiing, and we slow down to just float while we get there, and the guys get the ropes attached to the boat. The girls start coming down from the upper deck and wait to see Jade’s reaction when she notices Asher on the boat with us.

“Why are you here?” Jade asks Asher.

“I just wanted to spend time with you. I can just sit here, but I feel better when I am with you. I am more relaxed and calmer when I am with you. I can stay out of your way, but I would love getting to talk to you. You didn’t call or text me last night and I do want to know more about you, so I asked the guys last night if I could come with the group today and just spend time around you. I am not here to upset you”. I tell Jade.

“Ok,” Jade replies.

I do not know if that is good or bad, ok. It makes me a little worried, but she didn’t throw herself off the boat and start swimming away, so I will take a win where I get one Asher thinks to himself.

The guys take turns skiing on the lake, with only Bree skiing for the girls. We were sitting on the water as the skis were traded out for the next two to ski.

I came over to Jade and ask, “Do you not like to ski? Do you want a turn out on the lake? The wind is low, and the lake is like a sheet of glass, it is a good day to ski if you want to”.

“I don’t know how to ski. I was never taken on vacation. They always left me behind, so I just don’t know how to”. Jade replies to me. I feel terrible, I forgot that she said that this was her first vacation ever.

Jade gets up and takes off her coverup and then jumps into the water. I could tell that she wasn’t comfortable with talking to me about something that was clearly a sore spot for her. I didn’t follow her into the water, I just let her swim around a little and then float until Tyler called out to her that we were about to get started with skiing again, and she came around and climbed up the ladder.

She sat in the front of the boat to dry in the sun and laid across the front bench getting comfortable as we started another round of skiing. I watched her looking at her behind my sunglasses, but I am sure anyone looking at me would know exactly who I am staring at. I hate to be a creeper, but she is absolutely stunning.

Her emerald-green bikini top just helped make her eyes pop with their beautiful green color, and the green and white print flowered bikini bottoms showcased her small waist and long legs. Her suit was modest as compared to what the girls here were wearing. She even had a little row of scallops running underneath the bikini top, making her even more covered. Hell, Ashley’s suit from two days ago left nothing to the imagination, I had been surprised that her boob’s hadn’t popped out to say hello. But she was working hard to keep my attention on her, and I wasn’t interested in her like I was in Jade, I see now that I just wanted her around in case I got bored. My sister and the other girls were covered too, but at Lake Havasu, most of the girls usually showed up in the smallest suits that they could find. Even with Jade being completely covered I know if I saw someone looking at her inappropriately, I would immediately either block her from their view or let them know to walk away because I will not let another man take what is mine. Jade is my everything and I will fight to keep her safe and protected from everyone else. Jade appears to be asleep, so I know I need to get the hard part over with. I go over to Tyler as he steers the boat across the water. I wanted to tell him what happened last night when I got to my room. I was not going to let anything happen that could result in me losing Jade. I was going to be an open book from now on.

“Tyler, can I speak to you for a minute?” I ask him

“Sure, go-ahead Asher” Tyler replies.

“I want to be an open book from now on, so I wanted you to know that last night when I got back to my hotel room, Ashley was in it, naked and waiting for me”. I tell Tyler.

The boat then slows down, and I hear the skiers yell out as they go down into the water. I see Tyler glaring at me and growling lowly at me. Everyone else is now looking our way trying to figure out what was wrong, and Jade continues to lay sunning and didn’t move at all.

I quickly tell him, “No, nothing happened man, nothing. I kicked her out and gave her 3 minutes to get all her stuff. I asked her how she got in and apparently, she spoke to the front desk clerk who gave her another key card to my room without my approval. I turned that card in this morning and spoke to the Manager who assured me that a note would be put into the system stating that only I could get a second room key and that she was to be kept from being allowed entrance into my room again”.

“Ok” Tyler lets out the breath that he had been holding. He starts moving forward again and the skiers come back up to the surface. Tyler continues, “Ok, I am glad you told me, that actually seems like the kind of thing that she would do, I believe you and Jade didn’t feel any pain last night, our rooms are right next door to each other so I can keep an ear out for any problems. Thank you for telling me, if it ever comes up, I will vouch for you. I can see that Ashley is not going to go away quietly. She plans to fight dirty I guess, and I just hope she doesn’t know Jade is your mate. I don’t want her having more problems at school right at the end of the school year”.
