Episode 67

We pull up to the house in Mason’s truck and park in the driveway. I had asked him to park behind my Jeep and keep the drive clear for Calvin to pull in and be able to park and no one know that his vehicle was in the garage. We all saw Eric’s SUV on a side street near our rental house, parked facing the direction of our house, where they had an unobstructed view of the whole front yard, front door, and driveway, but unless you were looking in his direction, and none of us did when we got out of the truck, you wouldn’t notice anyone in the SUV watching, it was pretty smart on whoever came up with parking it that way. We entered the house and noticed that Bree had the blinds turned facing up so she could keep a watch on them. I had told her when they passed us and what the SUV looked like, so she kept an eye out for them.

“How long have they been here Bree?” I asked her.

“Almost 20 minutes,” Bree tells me.

“Can you see anyone inside the car, we didn’t want to look when we passed or when we got out of the truck. We didn’t want them to know that we were here” I told her.

“That was a good idea, Jade, we don’t want to spook them, or tip our hand that we know what he is planning to do,” Bree tells me.

“Hey Nicole, did you get in touch with Calvin? Is he ok, is he going to be coming tomorrow or tonight?” I ask her.

“Calvin said that he was going to start occasionally coughing now, and whenever Eric and Kyle come back, he will give it about 20 minutes and then tell them that he is going to go get a drink from the drink machine and then just leave. I told him to make sure he doesn’t get followed, and to call when he is a few minutes out so we can let him into the garage” Nicole tells me.

“I am worried about him as he went out of his way to make sure that nothing happened to me, I just want him to be safe and away from them. They are terrible and I don’t know how I survived living there. I will feel better when he is here safe. Wait, make that I will feel better when I am back at Dark Moon” I tell them.

“I will be feeling better when we are back at the Dark Moon too”. Tyler says.

“I have our bikes loaded on our trailer” Tate calls out as he comes in from the garage.

“I have to load my bike up to take it to Dark Moon. I will have to bring the trailer back some time for Asher and Dixon as it was Stone Moon’s trailer. I have my clothes already out for me to wear tomorrow and all I will have to do is put my PJs in my bag, brush my teeth, grab my coffee, and I will be ready to go, I just have to throw it into the back of the Jeep with my purse and I am ready to roll”. I tell Tyler and Tate.

“Jade, I already loaded your bike onto the trailer, you are ready to go Sis,” Tate tells me. “I have the trailers facing the garage door’s so it will literally take about two minutes for both trailers to be secured and we can just pull on out. I figure that Tyler and I can come out and secure the trailers while you make your coffee, and then you can come out and we hit the road. I will be riding with you, as we are not taking ANY chances on your safety on our way back home. I have my tactical bag ready to go and it will be the last thing I bring out before we leave”.

“I am going to miss you so much Jade,” Bree tells me.

“Me too Jade, I feel like we are sisters,” Nicole tells me.

“I wish we could just come to Dark Moon with you, at least we will all still get to graduate together. So at least we have that to look forward to” Jessica says as she brings me in for a hug.

“Are they still out there?” Tate calls over to Bree.

“Yes, they are still there, they are looking over this way,” Bree tells Tate.

“I wonder how long they are going to stay out there?” Tyler asks the group.

“No idea, surely they have better thing to do,” I say to them and give a half-laugh.

“I wonder if we should just tell Calvin to leave on his end and then just go to park his car somewhere like the grocery store or the park until the coast is clear here? I know that Jade and I are worried about Eric or Kyle figuring out that he is leaving their pack” Nicole asks Tyler.

“No, just leave it, he has a plan, they don’t suspect anything, and right now the more texts ping on Calvin’s phone the more chance that someone, like Sophia, will get jealous or suspicious and mess it all up. He has information to where if he had to go to Stone Moon, he can give names of people to vouch for him like Jade, Dixon, Nicole, or Bree and he can get asylum there until we can come and get him. He is a big guy and I think he will be able to get away from that i***t Eric and Kyle if he needs to. He is the best fighter in that pack and seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I think it will be ok. I have faith in Calvin” Tyler says to us.

“I’m going to go take my shower and get ready for bed,” I tell them. I am sad and just want this day over with. I don’t want to think about Asher anymore, I am emotionally drained and just done for the day. I go grab my PJs from my room and go to the bathroom and start my shower just lost in my thoughts. As I wash my hair I feel a draft, I look up and see that the window is open, and it wasn’t open when I came in here. I see a shadow in the window, and I start screaming, loudly. I wish I hadn’t locked the door when I came in here now, as I see that Eric is lowering himself from the window to the bathroom floor. I hear Tyler and Tate on the other side of the door ramming it and yelling out to me, and I slip out of the shower and go to the door to unlock it and move back towards the sink as I turn the handle to open the door with one hand and grab a towel to cover myself with the other as Tyler and Tate pour into the bathroom and head to the window, watching as Eric drops the ground outside. They watch as Eric runs across the lawn and Tate runs out of the bathroom while Tyler locks the window and then runs off to go after Eric too. As they cross the lawn, they see the SUV drive off squealing tires as it turns the corner.

“Nicole, go ahead and text Calvin to come on now. If he can grab a few of his things he should have about 20 minutes before they can get back to the hotel, even with speeding. They are probably gone for the night, and I want to get everything locked down as soon as he gets here”. Tyler tells Nicole.

“Thank the Goddess that we were on high alert, if we hadn’t been Eric would have gotten Jade tonight”. Tate says as he tosses a rag onto the living room table. I sniff it and throw it away quickly.

“Chloroform, what in the hell, how did Eric find it to buy it?” I asked out loud trying not to let on how scared I was.

“Well, if we hadn’t already made the decision to go in the morning, I think this would have made the decision for us” Tyler said.

I start shaking and I am really scared at this point. Eric is a psychopath and until he is dead, I will never be safe. Bree sits down on one side of me, and Nicole sits down on the other side of me, and they each hold one of my hands.

“He is crazy” I finally manage to get out.
