Tyler’s Perspective

I was up at 2 am to get ready. I will be driving our SUV there and wanted to make sure that we had everything that we needed for this fight. Each of the marksmen was carrying a large duffle bag of magazines and their protective gear. Three times the amount of ammunition that we figured that they would need because if you need it, you need it there with you and not 5 hours away from you. Calvin had let his dad know that we would be there today and so he got Eric’s sister Jocelyn Taylor to come on a trip with them out of town for the debate team, so she could watch her best friend, Erin Williams, Calvin’s little sister debate. They would not be returning to the pack until later on today as they were in Chandler for the debate event, and they were going to go see some sights and go to the mall to burn up some time. Beta Williams also said that the Alpha had another son, a half-brother to Eric that was 16 years old and could be trained up to be the next Alpha, that he would only hold onto the title until the young man could be trained up to take over after he completed Alpha Training in Tempe.

I knew Tate was already up as I heard him in the shower this morning when I was leaving my room to come down, and I saw Braxton and Mason in the Dining room getting coffee when I entered to get mine.

“I know it is early, but we needed to get on the road to be able to get Stone Moon and pick them up and still arrive early at the Howling Wolf pack. You can sleep in the SUV if you want to, I don’t mind driving while you guys rest” I tell them.

“Nah, I usually get up to get ready for training, I am good. We can just go to bed early tonight if we need to” Braxton tells me and Mason nods in agreement.

We all hear someone walking towards us and I turn and see Jade coming up to us with a robe over her nightclothes. She walks up to me and grabs me in a tight hug, not saying anything, just hugging me. I feel the front of my shirt getting wet and I pull back to look at her.

“I am sorry I got your shirt wet. I am just worried about you, so you better not get hurt by any of those idiots. I love you and I don’t want you to get hurt, so please be careful. Some of them are morons, but they are strong morons.” Jade tells me as she looks up at me with tears in her eyes.

“The same goes for you Mason, do not get hurt. I know you are strong, but please stay safe, because I love you too” Jade tells him as she hugs him tightly too.

“Braxton, I know you know how to fight too, but please stay safe. You are like a bonus brother to me, and it would hurt me if you got hurt trying to keep me safe. So, follow your own rules that you teach us, and keep alert” Jade tells him.

“Hey, what about me, your favorite brother?” I hear Tate say when he comes into the room and sees Jade crying and hugging Braxton.

“Come here Tate, I love you too. Please be cautious. You don’t have your wolf yet, and I am worried for your safety. Please pay attention, I know you have like a second sense already for one of your gifts but keep yourself safe, I know the wolf inside of you will give you the extra senses that you need to have today. I want you to come back in one piece and with your wonderful sense of humor, still intact” Jade tells Tate as she hugs him tightly.

Tate smirks over at me and winks, “I told you I was her favorite brother” he says to the group, and we all laugh. He has taken the overbearing weight of what we have to get done off of us by giving us all a good laugh, and that is a big help, so we can focus on what we need to and not on the fact that we are actually going to war this morning.

I hear some laughter coming from the door and turn to see mom and dad in the doorway smiling at us. They both come over to hug us both before we leave and Dad shakes hands with Mason and Braxton thanking them for going with Tyler and Tate.

“She is to be our Luna, and she is our good friend. We love her like a sister, and we are happy to be going to make sure she is safe from now on.

“I am ready to go when you are. I already grabbed my coffee and was sitting on the steps outside thinking about today” Calvin says as he walks up to the group.

“I want you to stay safe too Calvin, even though we are not mate’s anymore, you saved me by telling me about Eric coming to get me. I want you to be safe as well, I will pray that the goddess protects you all in this” Jade tells him and gives him a side hug.

“Tyler, would you, Braxton, and Mason all please make sure that Asher is safe as well. I am going to be worried sick until I hear that you are all ok and that is it done, and you are all coming home: Jade tells us.

I walk out to the front porch of the packhouse with them, I had already brought the SUV and parked in from of the packhouse last night before I went to bed. I walked over to see that the buses were almost loaded with our guys we could get 60 onto each bus so we had loaded 3 of them full and the people who wanted to sleep in peace got on the 4th bus to spread out and sleep in the quiet before we got to Stone Moon. The other two buses were empty. I wanted to make sure that we had room for everyone so I guess if we needed to anyone wanting to sleep can get on the sleeping bus and they can rest until with getting to the Howling Wolf pack. I will make sure that we have 1 Leader each on the buses with people not sleeping, in case of any problems, and the Stone Moon pack can always mind link Mason, Braxton, or Asher if any problem comes up on the ride there or back.

I hug both my parents, and Jade goodbye, and Tate does the same before we go and get in the truck. Tate had already loaded all of his ammo and guns in the back of the SUV and had a holster already attached on each h*p. The holster attached to his belt in two places and around his thigh secured the gun holster from moving, but her left the guns in the carrier, as he didn’t need them yet her would move the carrier up front and secure the guns when we get about 5 miles out, just like last time.

We had already planned it out with Calvin, we were going to come in from each side and set up before we drove up to the front gates with the last busload and our SUV. We would be dropping everyone out on their side to wait for their buses to arrive and the men to set up. We head out of the gate at 252 am on our way at this time. Mason will mind linking Asher when we are 30 minutes out to make sure that they are ready when we get there. We make good time heading to Chandler and stop for everyone to use the bathroom and the buses fueled up, so we are good to go there and back and not have to stop. We had coolers iced down with water and sodas two of each in the luggage area of each bus and 3 first-aid boxes in the luggage areas as well for each of the buses. We pull up to the guard’s area at Stone moon and the 3 full buses park outside the gate and back in so they can just pull out when we are ready to leave, and the two empty buses pull up to the packhouse with the 4th bus with the people sleeping still on it. Asher had told them to be out front at 3, and we pulled up exactly on time. We got everyone promptly loaded with more people hopping on the sleeping bus, although six of the new arrivals had either a book or a k****e with them to read on the way, in a quiet environment. That was pretty smart of them. Braxton hopped into the third row so Asher could take his seat, and we headed out. I pray that the Goddess is with us, and we have no casualties for Stone Moon or Dark Moon today.
