Episode 82

Tyler’s Perspective

We are making excellent time on the road this morning. We will be getting there early. We speak with the leaders on each of the buses and then they relay it to the warriors on their bus. So, everyone is all on the same page. When we are 3 miles away from the Howling Wolf pack, we will stop for a minute to let Braxton, Mason, and Calvin out to get on the bus with their teams for a final check as they get into position, with the 4th bus being a filler parked in the middle with Mason’s bus and making sure that the perimeter is covered on the 3 sides. Tate takes this opportunity to grab his bag from the back of the SUV and put it in his floorboard to start getting ready. We all know exactly where we will be and as soon as the buses stop for the drop-off on the back and sides, the Dark Moon Pack leaders, warriors, and sharpshooters will then get into formation on the boundary. Some of the sharpshooters have also decided to hide in the trees surrounding the pack to also have a better vantage point and keep from being seen by the Howling Wolf pack.

Once they are in position, the last two buses will pull forward on either side of the front corner and we will pull the SUV up to the right side of the gate, where it will be hard to see us and we will approach the gate with Tate and two other sharpshooters being there to cover. We will have two sharpshooters in the trees behind us to give them a good vantage point and to cover us as Asher, Tate, and I will be at the gate, and we need to be protected, as we do not know how this will go with the Taylor Family and the rest of the pack.

We stop on the side of the road and the guys get out of the SUV and run over to their bus to arrive with their team. I take the time to mind link my parents that we are about to arrive at the Howling Wolf pack and begin. As we start moving forward again, I send up another prayer to the Goddess for her to be with us, as we engage with the Howling Wolf pack today, and for us to not have any loss of life in our packs, and for only the guilty to be punished today.

We wait to get the mind link from Calvin, and again for Asher to get his pack mind links from Braxton and Mason so that everyone is in their position. When the mind links come in that they are in place, I mind link the last 2 buses to park at the corners of the front of the pack and start unloading. We slowly pull up and park near the gate, but not in the sightline of the guard shack or where the road pulls up to the gate from the packhouse.

We parked and approached the gates, and I told the gate guard that we needed to speak to Alpha Taylor about Eric Taylor.

Eric’s Perspective

What in the hell? It is 8 am. Who is at the gates wanting to talk to my dad and me this early in the morning? I go ahead and get dressed as dad wants me to go with him to the gate. I go ahead and mind link Kyle, as he is to be my Beta now, as well as my Gamma, Jeremy, and tell them to get dressed and meet me at the gate in 10 minutes. Dad has already called his Gamma to go with him as his Beta is out of town with his family and my sister for a debate trip in Chandler today.

What is so freaking important is that I need to be woken up this early and on a Friday. I just got back to town yesterday afternoon. I need to catch up on my sleep. I am grumbling as I get dressed and meet dad in front of the packhouse to go to the gate. I got a message from Kyle and Jeremy saying that they are heading that way right now and will meet us there. Dad and I pull up and get out to approach the gate, but I don’t see anyone there.

“Why are we here? I thought you said we had someone at the gate wanting to speak to us?” I said to the guards. They motioned to someone outside the gate.

“That will be us”, I heard a voice speak from outside the gate and I turned to look out and see who is speaking to me. I didn’t recognize him, or the other two men that stepped out behind him as they approached the gate. Two of them look familiar to me, but I can’t remember where I know them.

“And are you?” I asked him.

“I am Tyler Harris, soon-to-be Alpha from the Dark Moon pack,” He says and then turns to the two men behind him and points to a guy that looks a little familiar to me, but I can’t remember where I know him from, “This is my younger brother Tate Harris,” and then points over to a guy a little older than us as he continues to speak, “And this is soon-to-be Alpha, Asher Morris, from the Stone Moon pack”.

Now I know why they are here, Jade. I followed her to Dark Moon that time and he was the one at the gate that told me never to come back. Come to think of it, the other guy who was to be his Beta was the one I got into a fistfight with on the Sandbar. They must be here to speak to me about trying to take her from the rental house. They kind of look like the guys who chased me, but I was so busy looking at Jade in the shower that I really don’t remember if it was them or not. I do remember them now as they were part of the group that showed up on bikes to get her from me and Kyle when we found her at the gas station, so they had to be staying with her there at the rental house.

As Tyler was talking to us, Gamma Harry arrived with his son, Jeremy, and soon-to-be Beta Kyle was with them. They heard what Tyler was saying to us as they walked up to flank us and make a unified front across the gate with us. They knew as well as I did that, we were not going to let these guys into our pack lands, and I wasn’t really worried about what these three guys were going to do. There were only 3 of them anyway.

“ OK, so what do you want? Jade isn’t here if you are looking for her. I don’t know where she is. Is this about me trying to claim her? She isn’t your mate, Tyler, or your mate, Tate. The only person this concerns is me and Asher. She was my pack member, and she will be my Luna. She is not marked or mated to anyone, so I am going to claim her. She will be glad to come to me. I already know that she finds me attractive. We went out while she was here, so I don’t know why you guys would show up here bright and early clowning like this. She hasn’t been claimed yet, so she is fair game, as far as I am concerned”, Eric said to us. He glanced over to smirk at Asher with his last sentence trying to bait him.

“Well, Eric, she is my mate, and I AM going to claim her, and you will be leaving her alone from now on”, Asher called out to me.

“Well, Asher, that is for her to decide, not you. If the rumors that I heard are true, she is pretty upset with you right now. Your sleeping around has resulted in another she-wolf becoming pregnant, and Jade isn’t even speaking to you right now, isn’t that, right? You made it a whole lot easier for her to want to come to me now, haven’t you? So, you can just turn around and get lost. Unless you can make yourself useful and let me know where she is, she left kind of suddenly, and I want to let her know that I want her to be my Luna. She changed her number, and I can’t get a hold of her right now, but I have my way, and it is just a matter of time before I find out where she is, so we can meet again. She is absolutely beautiful, and I can’t wait to see her naked again, but this time underneath me, not just standing in the shower”, Eric says to us.

The gate shook with the growls that the three of them put out in their anger at what I said to them. They are furious and it brings another smirk to my face. What are they going to do on the other side of the gate?

“Wrong answer Eric, I know you just woke up, but you are incorrect in your assumption that you will be having Jade underneath you. That will never happen. Did you tell your dad that you sexually assaulted her at the Sandbar, that you tried to kidnap her on not one, but two occasions? I bet you didn’t, but you will not EVER be getting with Jade. She will be with me, which is already predestined for us, but I tell you what, I will fight you for her, one on one, so then you can give it a rest and let it go. Because Eric, you won’t, and Kyle won’t ever be getting your hands on my Mate”, Asher tells them.

“Well, you are on that side of the gate, and I am on this side of the gate, and I am not dumb enough to come out there to fight you, so I guess we are at a stalemate, friend,” Eric tells us and then starts laughing with his Beta and Gamma.

“Wrong Eric, because you may not be aware of it, but your pack is surrounded by over 350 warriors from the Dark Moon and Stone Moon packs. We are waging war on you. No one will be coming into or leaving your pack until this is resolved. So, I will give you a few minutes for you to have your warriors verify the fact that you are surrounded, and then we can speak again” Tyler tells me, and I pale, why in the world would they be here to wage war against us, over a stupid girl?
