Tate’s Perspective

I really hate this pack. They are the lowest of the low. Thankfully I prepared for potential problems with this pack because I really didn’t trust them. With all that Jade had told me about this pack, I knew when I came here that we were going to need all the help we can get. Eric stalling like he was, I had four of my sharpshooters move in closer and take up positions in the mountainside on either side of the pack on the side nearest the gate. As you never know what kind of conditions, we will be in each member of my team has a ghillie suit and a weapon that can be invisible to the naked eye for the desert, as those are the conditions where we will primarily be fighting. Along with a ghillie suit to blend in with the grass and trees, which is what the men in the trees are wearing.

I told me guys to keep an eye on using their scopes to see what is going on at the gate of the Howling Wolf pack. I also mind-linked my two warriors one on either side of the pack to go ahead and get out my DJI Mavic Pro Platinum and put them up at a little over 120 feet so no one will hear them and see what is going on inside the gate area. We have a total of 4 of them, each man has two, so when the battery runs low, we can just trade to the next one. I love how we can be high-tech with everyone else and save the lives of our packmates with such a simple little helper like these drones.

“Tate, I am seeing a few guys running up alongside the wall. They are armed and have ammo bags with them. Each one is carrying a 6-foot ladder with them. I am guessing that they are going to set up on the wall. Looks like three men from what I can see. They may be trying to take you all out with there being three of them.” I hear Anthony call out to me, using the first drone.

“Tate, I see an older man exiting the guard’s shack, he has a military haircut, exiting with what I am assuming is a loaded weapon. He is now placing a ladder he got from the shack against the wall and climbing it He is about 20 feet behind the shack and has a great visual on Asher right now. I don’t know if he will be taking a shot now or later as he has not looked over the fence yet, so I think he is going to be waiting for something. I will let you know when he gets to the top of the ladder to take a shot” I hear Brad call out using the second drone.

I tell them both to go ahead and keep on the lookout for any further action within a half-mile of the gate and tell my men to go ahead and set up on their targets three on one side of the gate, and one on the other. I go ahead and free up one of my men from the back wall on the side nearest where he would need to set up to get the third man and send him to climb up in his ghillie suit until he can see at least one of them and then settle in to take his shot. I then tell the two that are already in position when they hear from Gary after he heads up the mountain and gets in place for them each to min link each other to decide who gets who so they will all be taken out together at the same time. I also tell them to reload and take out Alpha Taylor and Luna Taylor, and Kyle, and to decide who gets who now so they can have that taken care of before they can run away and hide.

I then mind linking the man that is going to take out Gamma Harry, to do so before he reaches the top of the wall to get a shot off. That I think that they will all rise together as a group so we won’t see them all as we would be watching the fight between Asher and Eric. Which I won’t be watching, I will be watching the fence.

I mind link Tyler and toll him to get in the SUV and move it from near the wall to in the street and when he gets out to stay near the hood so he can hide before someone gets a shot off. The men on the hill will all be notifying us before they get to the top of the wall. Since we have the element of surprise on them, they have no idea that we know that they are trying to set us up.

“Tyler, they have 3 shooters coming on and setting up the wall nearest us, that is why I had you move the SUV so we can dive behind it in case of emergency. All of the windows and doors are bulletproof so we should be safe here. Gamma Harry has set up about twenty feet behind the Guards shack and is armed and ready to go as well. I am sending up the third man so they can take out all of the shooters on the wall at the same time. I also instructed them to take out Alpha and Luna Taylor, and Jeremy as well with their next shots before they scatter like roaches. I will have my men on the opposite side take out Gamma Harry and Kyle at the same time. My men in the trees behind us will cover us in case of surprise, but the guys running my drones say that there is no one else anywhere near here or headed in this direction. But I will keep them going until we are done and complete with this. I don’t want any surprises, like a gunshot as a memory from this war. I am good, I can remember it on my own” Tate’s mind links me, and I glance over at him, he always tries to be a comedienne. Even when we are in a serious situation. I see that he has the snaps cleared on the tops of his holsters, so he can just draw immediately.

“Be sure to warn Asher of the shooters because they are setting up now, I believe that they are going to try to take him out first when he fights with Eric because we all know that Eric doesn’t fight fair, and I think that the shooters are his backup plan in case things start going south for him.

Tyler nods and tells Tate, “I included Asher into our pack so we can mind link him in case of emergency” Just in case he needs to warn Asher of something that I don’t see.

“Good, I don’t want to have to explain to Jade that we got her mate killed. So that is a good idea” Tate replies back to Tyler.

We look over at Eric still trying to act like he needs to stretch. He looks like a complete moron standing there trying to act like he is stretching, we don’t need to do that to get into one fight, maybe for a couple of hours of exercise, we might stretch for like a minute, but Eric had been at this for 5 minutes and we now know, and we had already assumed, that he was stalling, and now we know why.

My snipers are all telling me that the guys are getting ready to climb their ladders and I get positions on all of them 50, 60, and 70 feet from the gate and to our right as we are standing here. We were also advised that Gamma Harry had his gun was about to climb his ladder as well. We hear Eric calling out “Ok, I am ready to fight”

I mind link Asher that the shooters are taking positions to climb their ladders now and where everyone is. I tell him not to worry. My snipers have all four of them in their sight’s and I told them to take them out when they got to the top of the ladders, and to not be surprised to hear the second set of shots as the Alpha and Luna Taylor, Kyle, and Jeremy will be going to meet the Goddess as well, leaving just Eric alive at the Gate with us, for him to finish off.

Asher nods at me to let me know he has it and looks back at Eric, who is currently smirking at us. I am sure he is cocky as he feels like he is going to take us all out. He is in for a big surprise.

“Let’s go, Eric, show me what you got,” Asher tells him as the gates open up.

Asher steps up and sends up a quick prayer to the Moon Goddess for protection, as he is literally putting his life in Tate and Tyler’s hands. He tilts his head towards one shoulder, and then to the other and he is ready to go.

I mind link each of my guys that the fight is about to begin and to set up their shots now, as I don’t know when Eric is going to tell them to take us all out, but I know that it will be soon, as we all know that Eric can’t fight very well. I watch his dad start smiling and move closer towards the gate, like he wanted to see the show and I see him look over at each one of us, one at a time, smirking at us. He can’t tell that I am looking at him as I am wearing my black-on-black aviators, as I never want people to know where I am looking, especially when I am on a mission, and I keep my face expressionless.

Very soon they will know that the tides were NEVER in their favor, but when they find out, it will be too late for any of them.
