Jade’s Perspective

Graduation day

Two months later

It is our graduation day for me, Bree, Nicole, and Jessica and we are so excited to walk the stage. My parents and brothers are here and smiling and waving at me. I am glad that their graduation was a week previous and not on the same day so I could be able to go and watch Tyler and Tate walk across the stage to get their diplomas last Saturday. Asher is sitting with them, with Dixon beside him and then his parents on the other side of Dixon. Nicole’s parents are next in line, and then Jessica’s family, with our families filling out the entire row. Braxton and Mason were also here sitting between the Alpha and gamma family, with Braxton making a big production of waving so that everyone around him is staring at him.

Asher graduated last Sunday from his Alpha training and I was so proud of him because he was head of his class as well. He had excelled at everything for the last few months and his dad told him that it was because he had found his mate, and that always makes you stronger as an Alpha. Asher still thought it was because Aries was so happy that I was close, and that kept him calm and happy so he could focus on his training.

I am really glad that my family will be spending the night here tonight as my mom, Luna Monica, me, and the girls will all be going out tomorrow to pick out my dress for the Luna ceremony. It has been an exciting two months, to be honest. Asher has been the perfect mate. He is so caring and loving. I get so happy every single time I see him walking towards me, I cannot stop the smile from covering my face at seeing him. He has fully burrowed into my heart, and I don’t know if I could go on if he left me at this point. He owns my heart, and I cannot imagine living my life without him. I had decided last week that I would be accepting him as my mate and allowing him to mark, and mate me. Luna Monica has already started the plans for my Luna ceremony as she already knew it was what Asher would have wanted so, when I decided last week that I wanted to do it, we really only had two weeks to make the plans for the Luna ceremony, as the next full moon was coming in in the next two weeks. Asher was busy last week too as he had gone out for lunch and shopping with my family, and I was so happy that they were 100% ok with me and Asher being together. I love and respect my family and their opinion means so much to me, I am so glad that they see the good man who loves me, as my mate and partner.

Asher has shown me in so many ways how much he loves me. He always wants to touch me when we are together, either I sit on his lap, or he holds my hand or touches my leg when we ride in the car together. He tells me that Aries has never been calmer than when we are touching, and it brings him comfort when we are near.

My row stands up to go and line up near the podium as we wait for our names to be called. I am excited that I am facing my family and friends as I walk across the stage and accept my diploma. I was Valedictorian for our class, and I had been super nervous to speak in front of the whole graduating class, but I was also really proud of myself for all the hard work I put in on all of my AP classes as well. I earned this, I have made a way for myself, and never let my bullying let me forget that I have value, even if sometimes others can’t see it, doesn’t mean that I am not a smart, lovely person. I hear my name be called and I cross the stage to shake hands with my principal. I look at my family and friends and see them all beaming proudly at me, as they can’t yell out and cheer, and I see Mason trying to keep Braxton down in his seat as he is covering his mouth to keep him from yelling out and cheering for me, and then getting into trouble and escorted out. I smile even bigger and wave to them as I go down the stairs and back to my seat. Mason is smart, I know Braxton will want to be able to see Bree, Nicole, and Jessica graduate too. Mason will have his work cut out for him today trying to keep Braxton from being thrown out of the arena.

I occasionally glance up to look at Asher, who is staring back at me with a smile on his face, making me blush. I smile as my friends cross the stage too. I will also mention something unusual that I didn’t expect to happen after I came back to school from spring break. Brittany and her friends stopped me in the cafeteria one day, and as Bree stepped up behind me to back me up, Brittany held her hands up in a stopping motion and said, “Jade, I am so sorry for what I did to you. I believed my sister, instead of asking you what had happened. I should have known by how confused you looked when I confronted you that Ashley had twisted it around to her agenda. I was just trying to defend my sister, and I made a mistake by doing so. I hope you can accept my apologies for what I did to you. I am really sorry for my actions, and this has taught me a hard lesson. I know I need to stay out of drama and conflict and just live my life. I also wanted to tell you that my parents and I are sorry for everything that Ashley did to you, we heard about it when we were being banished from the pack, and I didn’t realize she had done so my truly bad things to you, none of us did. I feel bad for participating in any part of it. I know you may not ever fully forgive me, but I am truly sorry for my part in it” Brittany said before turning to walk away from us.

“Wait, it is ok, I forgive you, Brittany. If either of my brothers told me something I would take it as the truth too. It sounds like you had no reason to doubt what she said, as you didn’t even know me at the time. I was new here and you had no information that would have let you know the whole story, as you were not there when it actually happened. I appreciate the apology, but you didn’t have to. I knew that your sister lied to you about what happened when you were yelling at me when you first confronted me. I really didn’t know who you were or what you were talking about, but once I found out that Ashley was involved, I figured it out quick, it wasn’t your fault that you were lied to” I told her.

Brittany thanked me and walked away. I made sure that I went to speak with Alpha Andrew and Luna Monica that afternoon to see if they would allow the Conner family back into the pack. They hadn’t been banished from the pack a week yet and they had wanted to stay local right now so Brittany could graduate in May. Alpha Andrew asked me why I wanted them to be allowed back into the pack and I told him “I would have wanted the same grace to be extended to me. Brittany’s actions were only due to what she had been told by Ashley. Ashley was the problem and truth be told, no one can control someone else’s actions. There was no way for the Conner Family to make Ashley behave, or to leave me and Asher alone. That was on her solely. She caused each one of the problems and then lied to her sister so she would catch me at school and cause me more stress, but Brittany was operating on bad information that she got from a bad source. But any of us with brothers or sisters would believe what our sibling told us, over a stranger. She thought her sister had been wronged and she wanted vengeance for her. It was the same thing as the boys did for me. I don’t think that they should be banished for Ashley’s bad decisions. I think that they have been punished enough, and if they want to come back into the pack, I am totally ok with them being allowed to come back to the pack”.

Alpha Andrew said that he would think about it, but that since it was Asher’s original decision, Asher would have to be the one to overturn it if he wanted to. I told him that I would get with Asher that night when he came home from school. Asher’s first instinct was to say no, “What if she wants to get even with you or hurt you?” Asher said to me.

“I don’t think that she would have sought me out to apologize to me if that was what she wanted to do. She could have always caught me at school if that was her intent. She could have just waited and got me alone, but she didn’t. I believe that she is really upset that Ashley tricked her. Plus, I am absolutely sure that her parents spoke with her and begged her to stop. Why would they ever want to leave somewhere that was their home for so long? You now know how Ashley was, she was completely irrational with her behavior. She was never going to stop until she was stopped. I think it would be best for the Conner Family to be allowed back into the pack, and off of the banished list. It is not fair for us to punish them all over one person’s actions” I tell Asher.

Asher moves forward and hugs me tightly and then k****s my forehead. He looks me in the eye and say’s, “This is why you will be such a strong Luna. You see things in a way that I don’t. You balance me and together I think our pack will grow to be better and stronger”.

The Conner family was back in their home the next day, and very grateful to me for stepping in and interceding on their part. They understood that Asher was just trying to protect me. All of the punishment should have rested solely on Ashley, and only Ashley.
