Was Lacy a kinky freak for enjoying the smacks and rubs?

Probably.

Did she care about that in that moment?

Most certainly not.

Tell you what, ten times… ten freaking times the Alpha King’s hand had come down on her bum heavy and hard, though it had been alternated with those so sensual rubs that almost seemed to act as a salve, instantly taking the pain away… and through it all, Lacy had taken it like a pro, a few unexpected m***s of pleasure coming out as she squirmed and squealed on his laps.

The large doors swung open a second time, but the Alpha King continued on with his torture, completely ignoring the fact that they had just been interrupted. Completely mortified and embarrassed, and definitely not wishing to flash whoever was rapidly closing in on them, Lacy on the other hand tried to wriggle to her feet, but Reed held her down, his arm lightly pressing down on the small of her back. To be honest, the girl just continued surprising him at every turn.

Who would have thought that the innocent looking human was a kinky freak at heart?

Reed had hoped that his roughness would freak her out, but that was the last thing that was happening, and he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t more turned on than he had ever been in his life.

Eleven.

Twelve.

Thirteen.

“Your Eminence?”

Fourteen.

Fifteen.

Gentle rubs.

“Your Eminence,”

“Can you see that I’m occupied, Bruno? What the f**k do you want?”

Sixteen.

“That letter you have been expecting is in… it just got here, and you said I should—”

“Get up human,” The Alpha King roughly helped her up to her feet, standing up right after her, not caring that his subject had literally seen him in a private moment. Lacy on the other hand wanted to die right there and then, for it was one thing behaving like a wanton woman to a man she was supposed to be hating, but it was another thing altogether being caught in the act… but there the Alpha King stood, sexily adjusting himself in his jeans, and there was just this look in his eyes that made her realise that she had lost him again. That whatever moment they had seemed to be having… that whatever she had subconsciously wished for to happen was most certainly not going to happen, and his next set of words confirmed it. “Have her sent back to her room, Bruno… and you’d best make sure that she doesn’t try anything funny, else I’d have your f*****g head.” And then just like that, he was gone… gone without a single word or a mere look in her direction, leaving her and the super tough dude, Bruno alone. “Let’s get you back to your chambers, ma’am.” He suggested in a tone that left no room for argument—

not that there was any in the first place. Lacy was just too lost in thought trying to figure out what had just happened that she just trailed after the guard without another word.

That night, she barely slept a wink, though if she was being really honest, it partly had to do with the fact that her arse hurt like hell after the entire ordeal it had been through. Granted, in that time, it had been pleasurable as hell… but now, she got the whole reason why it was a punishment in the first place.

But what the hell had happened in there, though?

She had been way into their little session than was healthy… and though Lacy knew that that had had something to do with the mate bond… she couldn’t help but beat herself down for not trying to fight it some more, especially when everything the Alpha King had done just kind of cemented the fact that he was still very much a jerk, and that nothing had changed at all.

But how did one fight the mate bond pull?

Oh, if only our girl knew how.

You know, now that she thought about it, her supposed mate couldn’t stand her, despite being sexually attracted to her… but even with all that hate, he had never actually spoken about rejecting her, and Lacy wondered why… for she had seen quite a few rejections go by in the Blue Valley Pack to know how it all worked. The question now was,

Why hadn’t the Alpha King rejected her just yet?

Lacy tried to come up with possible reasons as to why. Perhaps, he genuinely had no idea how the whole mateship thing worked? That was a probable factor, right?

Of course, there was also the equally probable fact that he did know about the whole rejection process, but couldn’t actually do it since his wolf completely detested her guts and did not in any way see her as a mate. But it wouldn’t hurt to ask right?

At least if she did, she’d know where she stood, and if it happened to be that he absolutely had no idea about how the rejection process worked like she had initially thought, then she could take him through the process so that at least it’d make the rest of her stay here much easier to bear. Sure, she’d go through quite a lot enduring the after effects, but at least she was assured that those were but a few days of suffering, for she wasn’t exactly sure how much more torture she could withstand being an unrecognized mate.

He had left her again, and over what… some stupid letter.

Lacy briefly wondered what at all its contents could be that were so important to him. Perhaps, it was a letter from his lover? That was possible, but to be left right in the middle of getting together was just plain embarrassing.

I mean, if this was happening to you twice, chances were you were the questionable one, right? Because it all felt like a déjà vu, only that instead of Lucius Smith, there was a ruthless Alpha King, and instead of being a wife and a chosen mate, she was some s*x slave to her fated mate.

Thankfully sleep claimed her when it was all becoming too much, and though she had been plagued by two really horrible nightmares, she hadn’t stirred until morning. Her sleep had been full of fits, and she woke up feeling more tired than when she went to bed though, but she felt so much better after taking a shower.

There was a knock on her door, and then one of the maids from the night before walked in— a very skinny girl with brunette hair tied up in a severe bun at the nape of her neck, wielding her breakfast, a small smile on her face, “Good morning ma’am, your breakfast is here,” Lacy gave her a confused smile, “Uh, good morning. Aren’t you gonna like, be punished for talking to me?”

“If I’m caught, yeah… but I’m not going to tell, are you?” She smirked mischievously, causing Lacy to chuckle in surprise, “You really looked like you needed at least a word of greeting, so there… I hope you feel a little better now.” She placed the tray with Lacy’s breakfast on the coffee table, smiled one last time and then walked out, leaving Lacy still standing there with that same smile on her face. The girl wasn’t lying…

She felt much better already.

By the time Anaya came by to collect Lacy for their routine afternoon walk, the human girl was completely better. Well, not a full hundred percent since her bum still hurt like a mother. “Lacy! Are you okay?” It seemed that the Lyken princess had some kind of psychic abilities, for the odd way she had predicted that all wasn’t okay with her friend had truly freaked Lacy out, because she had gone to such great lengths to ensure that she gave nothing away, and yet look at her, getting caught on first glance.

“Oh I’m fine,” She tried to brush it off, but Anaya would have none of it. “You most certainly do not look fine to me.” The redhead quipped, the frantic look in her eyes assuring Lacy that she was genuinely worried. But Lacy did not look that bad. Or did she?

“Relax, princess,” She teased with a wry smile. “I have just had a bad night, is all… I am perfectly fine, just very tired, and with some minor body pains here and there.” She clarified.

“Oh okay… but I still think—”

“The clock is ticking, Anaya… along goes my two hours of freedom,” She reminded her friend.

“Right, right. Come on then,” The Lyken princess looped her arm in her friend’s, “Let’s get you out in the sunlight.”

“So what should we do today?” Anaya asked as they walked the beautiful hallways, their entourage of seven right on their heels, but practically nonexistent for the human slave and her Lyken friend. “Actually, if it’s alright with you, I’d like to know all about Lyken history and culture, but if you have any other ideas—”

“No, no… I would love to share them with you. So that’s what we’ll do.” The princess decided. Lacy didn’t know why, but the girl’s quick acceptance had her thinking. For a culture that did not want humans knowing about them, the Lyken princess sure was a bit too enthusiastic about sharing with her, especially when she’d be leaving very soon. Lacy wondered why this was so, but kept her reservations all to herself.

All too soon, they were in the gardens, and Lacy had to settle her bum on the hardwood park benches. Her terribly aching bum.

The poor girl grimaced.

“Is everything okay, Lacy?”

“Uh huh,” She smiled cheerily, perhaps a little too cheerily, and then tried to fold herself into her seat. A sharp gasp escaped her lips even as she let out a sharp g***n of pain, standing right up.

“Lacy! Okay that’s it, come.” The princess tugged at her hand, walking at such full speed that Lacy was practically running after her, “Anaya? Where are we going?”

“To see the pack healer, Lacy… hopefully, Xavier can tell us exactly what’s wrong with you.”
